1 Chapter 1

Did you know? The most dangerous criminal is a person who knows that they, themselves, are mental.

"I was always average." I gritted my teeth, feeling the crimson dripping down my hands. "Nothing special."

"Unneeded."

My gaze flicked to the two dead bodies sprawled out in front of me. Flesh ripped apart upon their faces--their limbs held evidence of their struggle, yet the tattered wounds upon my own arms hissed even more than theirs. I felt a choked sob rise out of my throat, ripping out as the taste of iron filled my mouth. My organs were burning--twisting in the hell-like vessel that sown them to the brink of destruction. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I fell onto my shaky knees. A smile crawled up my ripped lips, wrenching itself in the most ugliest manner.

I laughed.

"Did you guys know," I stifled a dry laugh, stilling my surroundings as I echoed out my next words. "That your daughter was mental?"

Another sob left my lips as the kitchen knife fell out of my hands with a clamour. I felt my hand twitch from the aching pain, completely still and unable to pick up another object again.

"Did you even care?" A whisper flew out of my mouth.

"Look--" I reached out my hands, trying to show them the blood trickling from my palms. "Look what you made me become!"

My hands trembled along with another passing shriek from my lips. My eyes burned like they had been scorched by a branding iron. The numbness on my tongue threw nothing but vengeful bitterness at the two people in front of me, laying so painfully peaceful in their slumber.

"Look--Look at them!" I screeched again, this time crawling on my knees towards the two, shoving my hands in their deformed faces. I felt the cold liquid soak through my nattered jeans, a shiver trembled up my spine as my body spasmed with a fever, too hot for my mind to take. The blood from my stomach started pouring out like a spill of tomato juice, staining my already black shirt to a darker colour. Realizing that they couldn't respond, I laughed again, my head dropping backwards at each syllable that rolled off my tongue. The hands that I held towards them dripped limply to my sides as the sounds of my torment bounced off the empty walls.

"I hate you." I spat out darkly.

"I hate you, I hate you, I hate you!"

My eyes started to close from the fatigue, resigning their fate as the cold air jerked the hairs on my arms ominously.

"But I don't regret." I heaved off a sigh, the burden on my shoulders instantly disappeared, vanishing into the suffocating air. Opening my heavy eyes, I laughed again, this time in a much quieter and melodic tone.

I felt so--free.

So happy.

So peaceful.

"I'm insane." I croaked out, completely wasted.

"Completely and utterly insane."
