29 Beginning of the trials

Jane lay on her bed, staring up at the ceiling, her mind consumed by the revelations from Dr. Walsham's session with Sylvester. She yearned to turn back time, desperate for the chance to uncover the truth and set things right. But did Sylvester's alter ever tell her the truth directly? Everything had always been so subtle and indirect. 

"Hermosa." 

The word echoed in her mind, causing her heart to race. "Should I withdraw from the case?" she thought aloud, the weight of her discoveries bearing down on her. 

She had meticulously pieced together the clues, leading to the unsettling conclusion that Sylvester Crowley was in dire need of medical help. The man she knew was Ricardo Wood, an alter ego, not the actual person who didn't know her or whom she knew.
