"Wait, you bastard!"
a fat middle-aged man with a baseball bat in his hand shouted.
"Woah... take it, easy man,"
a young man in his mid-twenties said while running through a dark alley.
the young man was struggling to button his pants while moving.
"How dare you! sleep with my wife?!" the Fat man groaned in frustration.
the young man looked back at the fatty and sneered.
"You should keep your wife in check properly, or else this is bound to happen,"
he sped up and walked out of the alley.
*bonk* *bonk*
looking at the open taxi door he immediately entered and shut the door.
"go go go... to the lakeside villa."
the driver smirked and pulled the gear,
*vroom*
the driver quickly pulled the taxi over the road and drove away.
"Phew... what a day."
the taxi soon stopped in front of a massive villa.
"Thanks, keep the change,"
he then took out his phone and dialed a number,
"umm... Hello! Lu Bai, it's me. are you home?"
"I am, but I told you not to come to my house!"
the other side had a gentle voice.
"Please come on... I want to see you so badly!"
"let's meet at the Sea King, by 6 PM in the evening."
the voice softened.
then he spoke in a dejected tone.
"Aw... okay bye, Love you."
the voice from the other side of the call giggled, "idiot"
he hung up the call and walked over to another taxi.
"pull over the general district," he said as he entered the taxi.
the taxi started, with a series of twists and turns it stopped in front of a two-story run-down apartment.
he paid the taxi driver and then entered the house.
opening the door he was greeted by a golden retriever.
"ah! Little Fan, stop.. hehe.."
the dog started to lick him from head to toe making him tickle.
"looks like you have already finished your bowl, let me refill it,"
he said and went to the kitchen, little Fan wiggling its tail around and licking his leg.
"here..."
he patted its head and filled the food bowl with pedigree.
he then picked the letters from the mailbox.
"ah... I have to pay the electricity bill, by tomorrow?"
"oh shit, It's from Zhou Shi, what is this?"
he unwrapped the parcel.
"photos?"
he looked at the photos one by one. it was him with his parents and his little sister.
looking at the smiles all over their faces a teardrop escaped from his eyes.
"Those were the days..." he mumbled and a warm smile plastered over his face.
he quickly looked at his wristwatch.
"oh, it's only eight? well, I didn't come home last night."
"Little Fan come we are going for a walk."
he leashed little Fan's belt and went for a walk.
women love dogs, be it the position or loyalty.
that's a fact that, while picking up a girl from the park, dogs played a major role.
he still remembers the first time in his life he experienced spring.
it was at that time when he was in high school. he wasn't a bright student. he just liked to fool around.
but that day, when he saw her in the class, introducing herself, he couldn't listen to a thing, but one thing he knew for sure, he was head over heels for her.
but just like most love stories, his first love story had a tragic end.
after his high school, he was lost and desperate.
after he moved out of his parent's house, he rented a cheap apartment and went to a college for a finance degree.
there he met a group of weirdos called 'pick up artists'.
meeting them was a life-changing experience for him.
he swore with his team members, that dating is a sin, only embracing the beauty is justice.
his life went pretty smoothly from then, he just needed a little makeover to shine. looking back, there was a time when they called him 'the prince charming'.
everything was perfect, but that wasn't the life he wanted. In the end, he felt empty inside. sleeping with the top beauties in the college was more like an achievement for him. but deep down he knew that what he needed was love. and for some reason, he just couldn't feel the connection with the women around him. he accepted the fact that he could never fall in love again.
that was until he met her.
sitting at an empty table at a restaurant, she was holding a glass of red wine. with her other hand, she was scrolling through her phone.
looking at the red-haired beauty with flushed cheeks, his feet stopped.
his heart was pounding very hard that he couldn't believe himself.
it was at that moment he knew, he fell in love.

back in the present, Yang Kai was walking around the park with Little Fan.
he glanced at two girls walking around, and a grin formed on his face.
he went over to the fountain and splashed some water over his face.
then he started to jog towards the girls, with little Fan.
"Hey there," he greeted them with a charming smile.
"oh! Hello," The girls greeted back with a giggle.
but before he could say anything, he felt a tug on the leash.
"Hey, Wait!"
little Fan pulled him over and started to run.
the girls only chuckled looking at him.
"Aww... here goes my chance,"
"you did it intentionally didn't you?"
*Bark* *Bark*
after the walk, he went home, with little Fan.
In the evening, Yang Kai was prepared for his dinner with Lu Bai.
"clothes check, Rolex check, bow tie check!"
"Little Fan, be a hood boy and protect the house. I will be out for dinner."
he then took a taxi and arrived at the Sea King restaurant, at 5:59.
"phew... safe."
he took the corner seat, waiting for Lu Bai to return.
a few minutes later a Lamborgini Sian stopped in front of the restaurant.
when the door opened beautiful red-haired woman stepped out of the car.
she was wearing a matching red formal dress.
her milky white skin glows in contrast to her red outfit.
"wow... she looks amazing."
Yang Kai couldn't but comment looking at the gorgeous women in from the glass window.
the door opened and the lady came into his direct view.
a smile formed over his face. "Lu Bai Here..."
"ah... there you are,"
she approached him and took a seat.
"haah... I believe I am the luckiest man alive"
"Come on now, don't need to be so cheeky."
after that, they chatted over a lot and ordered some wine.
"here is some delicious wine for the gorgeous."
he placed the wine glass on the table and looked at her beautiful eyes.
her fiery eyes looked deep.
we went closer to her side and sat next to her.
she turned to him with passion flashing in her eyes,
"Lu Bai, Thank you for everything."
and they kissed.
but suddenly,
*BAM*
the door of the restaurant broke open.
A few bulky dudes with guns rushed over to their table.
"huh?"
before they could react they we both seized by their necks.
"You Bitch! how dare you! cheat on me?! I gave you everything you demanded and yet,"
a tall man with black hair. yanked her by her hair.
"you Bastard! let her go!" Yang Kai couldn't move, so he shouted with his all might.
"tch, teach that bastard a good lesson."
the men threw him to the ground and started to beat him.
"Please stop! stop! let him go..." Lu Bai couldn't look at him being beaten, she pleaded.
"you bitch, you have the nerve to say that?!"
he threw her to the ground and lit up a cigarette.
"Fuck!"
the man shouted again and retrieved a revolver from his belt.
the gun was pointed at Yang Kai, but just before he could pull the trigger,
"Noo!"
*bam*
the man looked in shock as the bullet pierced through Lu Bai's chest.
"NOOO!"
Yang Kai shouted and struggled to get up, he crawled over to her and held her in his arms.
"oh, shit!"
the man who pulled the trigger showed horror in his eyes.
"oh, shit! what have I done? no no no... everything will be messed up if someone finds out about this."
he looked back, there wasn't anyone left. he sighed and turned to the bulky men.
"finish him off too, we can not leave any evidence."
Yang Kai was in horror, he was holding his beloved in his lap and caressing her face.
his eyes looked blank.
one of the bulky men pointed the gun at his head.
"!!!"
Yang Kai leaned back grabbed the revolver and,
*Bam* *Bam*
the area turned silent, and the Man from before fell on the ground.
a hole appeared on his forehead and blood gushed out of it.
*Bam* *Bam* *Bam* *Bam*
A series of gun firing sounds left Yang Kai with a lot of holes over his body.
his lifeless body fell on top of Lu Bai's
