4th Circle Ice Magic :-
[ICE LANCE]
A two meter long translucent coloured lance appeared in midair, before darting straight towards the Elder ape.
The Elder Ape, who was about to crush Karn to death, felt something charging right at him, as it immediately raised his hand, to block whatever attack aimed right towards him.
~Growl~
The Elder ape growled loudly as this lance made out of ice, pierce his hand, leaving a gaping hole right in the middle of his palm.
As it looked around to look for the culprit responsible for this and soon his glance fell on a blonde haired individual wearing a magician's robe.
"Fuck" Markus cussed, as he noticed one of his strongest magic spell, which took him almost half of his Mana pool to create, did nothing bit leave a hole on this beast's hand.
Honestly Markus aimed his spell right at this Elder Ape's head. Given it being one of his strongest spell, along with the fact that it was an ambush, made Markus confident of his success, but this Beast managed to sense the presence of his attack and even managed to block it.
Elder Ape glared at Markus ferociously, before, rushing straight towards him.
"Damn it" Markus cussed looking at that large beast charging towards him, before he took his wand and drew a 3rd Circle Magic as fast as he possibly could.
3rd Circle Thunder Magic :-
[THUNDER MISSILE]
A streak of purple light charged straight towards Elder Ape leaving a crackling sound of lightning behind.
The Elder Ape didn't even bother to block the incoming attack, as the purple light did nothing but burn a few strand of hair's on Elder ape's skin.
Seeing his Magic spell did nothing but burn a few stands of hair, Markus panicked, before he saw a figure jumping straight towards Elder Ape's body.
Karn immediately jumped while channelling his entire force, into his sword, aiming right towards Elder Ape's neck.
First Heaven of Nine Heaven's Swordsmanship:-
[COILING DRAGON]
A sword making a circular motion, descended straight towards Elder Ape's neck.
~ Kieeeeekk ~
"FUCK" Karn cussed out, as he saw a light scratch appearing on Elder Ape's neck.
Right now he used his entire strength, and Even managed to land a hit in a critical point, but still with all thing's going right, he still only managed to leave a slight scratch around his opponent's neck.
Markus had a surprise look on his face, as although barely a scratch, Karn still managed to damage the skin of Elder Ape, which is known for it's toughness.
But Markus didn't contemplate on this for too long, as he summoned a blue vial out of his storage ring and drank it immediately, not wanting to lose this little bit of time Karn managed to win for him.
After drinking the potion,a large amount of Mana rushed into Markus's body, as he immediately started creating two 4th Class Magic Circles Simultaneously.
Markus proved why, he was good enough to attend one of the greatest academies in the continent, by performing an incredible feat of 'Dual Casting' at a mere age of 20.

4th Circle Fire Magic :-
[BLAZING SWIRL]
As those Two Magic Circles were preparing itself, Markus screamed.
"Divert it's attention."
Karn nodded his head, as he immediately understood, Markus was clearly more efficient than him, when it comes to dealing with this Elder ape.
Karn Immediately charged in forward, clenching his sword and raising it up high in air, performing his next stance of his swordsmanship.
Second Heaven's of Nine Heaven's Swordsmanship:-
[HEAVEN'S VERDICT]
Karn jumped right up keeping his sword raised,
As the long black sword descended from above aiming right toward's the Elder ape's chest.
~Kreeech~
As the sword collided with the thick skin of Elder Ape leaving a kreeching sound behind, but still barely leaving just a scratch mark on the Beast's body.
~ Growl ~
The Elder ape Clearly felt frustrated, by how much trouble this insect like beings were giving him, as he immediately clenched his fist and started a barrage of attack towards Karn.
~ Thump ~ Thump ~ Thump
As several Fists and palm marks were deeply embedded on the ground, as Karn barely managed to stride forward, dodging it by a mark of mere hair's breath.
"Even using One Focus won't do anything on this thing." Karn murmured, as he kept doging, while frequently striding forward using basic sword moves.
As even the swordsmanship taught by Ian, barely left a scratch on this Elder Ape, it was quite obvious these regular sword strikes won't do much, but aggravate the Beast even further.
Markus was clearly sweating while watching this entire scene that's happening right infront of him, As a Magician he didn't have the physical provess to dodge those constant barrage of attacks from Elder Ape, so if anything happens to Karn, he won't even be able to resist, so he hastened his formation of both his magic circles as fast as he possibly could.
As both the Magic Circles was formed, Markus clasped his hand together performing a special chant.
Soon Both the Circles started combining into one, As Markus started performing one of the speciality of Ignis Academy "Compound Magic"
Compound Magic,Mixing multiple elements into one, one of the greatest techniques a Magician could possibly learn, Invented by the First headmaster of Ignis Academy, Valta Ignis.
4th Circle Ice-Fire Magic :-
[BLAZING ICE LANCE]
Soon a familiar translucent crystal lance made of Ice appeared in air, along with an infernal fire constantly swirling around it, as the speed of the swirling fire gradually increased, rotating the lance along with it, further increasing it's penetrating power.
This time Markus made sure to time his attack perfectly, as he screamed loudly.
"Now"
Karn immediately rushed back, and jumped sideways to make way for Markus to release his spell.
A large rotating Ice lance covered with fire, descended straight towards the Elder Ape, aiming right towards it's heart.
~ Kieeeeekk kieeekkkk~
This time Markus didn't miss, as his attacked landed exactly where he wanted to, as the rotating Ice lance pierce the thick hide of the Elder ape, while it growled loudly in pain, with a huge hole in it's chest.
"It's not over yet you ugly monkey" Markus screamed as he snapped his fingers and roared "IGNITE"
~ Boooom ~
Soon the second Magic Circle, that Markus prepared inside his spell activated, as the Ice lance exploded, leaving a large explosion sound behind.
"Ha Ha ha ha ha, Jesus that was fucking Awesome." Markus exclaimed with a bright smile on his face. "we defeated an A Rank Beast , can you fucking believe that."
Markus didn't forget to give Karn his due credit, Cause if not for him, he wouldn't have had enough time to create his Compound Magic spell.
Honestly after getting dropped in this strange isolated area, Markus almost gave up on the idea of winning this competition, as he thought about how disappointed his father would be.
"Ummm, I'm sorry to pour rain into you're parade, but it's still alive." Karn said, as he witnessed the Elder ape slowly getting back on it's feet.
"What !, I-Impossible, I've used up all my Mana into that spell." Markus said with a complete disbelief on his face.
As currently he was too mentally and physically strained to create another spell like earlier, and his empty mana pool inside his body doesn't help much either.
"What the hell are we suppose to do now ?" Markus said with a dispirited tone.
"You've done enough, leave the rest to me." Karn said with an assured tone.
Markus could only give a sigh, Hearing Karn's such assured and confident tone.
Honestly after witnessing and fighting alongside Karn, Marcus indeed acknowledged his abilities, he can now completely understand why this person was so confident about himself, but he was also aware that Karn was nowhere near the strength,required to kill this Elder Ape.
Karn didn't bother explaining himself as he glanced towards the Elder ape, that was still staggering, while trying to get up.
or In more detailed manner, he glanced towards the large gaping hole, on the Elder Ape's body, as blood constantly kept spilling out of its chest.
~ Kieeeeekk kieeekkkk ~
The Elder ape cried out from pain, as it still felt a chilling, as well as a burning pain from it's chest.
While it still kept staggering, as it felt weak, due to constant loss of blood.
~ Kieeeeeeewewek ~
The Elder ape growled out of anger as it decided to kill all the people responsible for turning him into this pitiful state, Even if it means he has to risk his own life to achieve it.
Karn didn't forget to take advantage of this moment of weakness Elder ape has shown, as he rushed forward channelling his entire force on his sword and legs.
Karn immediately jumped sideways, dodging the Elder ape's attack, before climbing on it's hand, using it as a springboard, as he jumped straight towards it's wounded left chest, while aiming his sword in a stabbing posture.
Soon the entire force inside Karn's body was completely drained out and gathered on the very tip of his sword.
Third Heaven's of Nine Heaven's Swordsmanship:-
[ONE FOCUS]
Soon a sword along with it's owner charged in a straight line, piercing everything along it's way, including the heart of an A Rank Beast.
~Thud~
The mammoth figure of the Elder ape, lifelessly fell on the ground leaving a loud thumping sound behind.
"You killed it" Markus exclaimed ecstatically. He was indeed shocked by what just happened, but his joy was much greater than the shock he experienced.
Karn immediately shook his head saying "We killed it, if it wasn't for your spell dealing with it's tough hide, my sword wouldn't have been able to pierce it's heart."
"Ha ha ha" Markus laughed joyfully before saying "We haven't introduced ourselves formally, I am Markus Helos, The Crown Prince of Helos Kingdom."
