Aliza smiles thinking. 'If the girls were here Sylvia and Sabrina might drop dead from jealousy.

Looking at the family, with their mouth open but her dad and sisters were happy and so was dad. Mom, well she has her reservations but she looks happy.

At least her dad has accepted that she is married, thank God he didn't make a scene, and when did he come?'

Watching as he places his finger over his lips so no one will speak, then he lifts her and walks down the stairs.

Seeing Jill came and stood near Bill clinging her hand to his, when she whisper in Bill's ear, "They look perfect together."

"They sure do." Aliza notice when she was about to say something he said sh..hhhhhh.

She seem annoyed but Bill was curious more like dumbstruck. Everyone followed Tom silently as he walk to the back.

With her eyes still covered he walk where he had set up a tent and had it decorated and a huge birthday cake was on the top of a small table well decorated with beautiful pink roses.

Tables were also set for dining, and at the right corner of the tent, a table was set with all the food Mrs. Marva had prepared.

With all the beautiful light on and soft music hearing her asking, "Thomas what is going on?"

Everyone notice a table covered but had no idea what was under the beautiful gold trimming cloth. "Honey are you ready? I am going to remove the scarf now?"

"What mischief are you up to Thomas??" Christa didn't hear anyone around thinking it was she and Thomas alone.

"Okay, but remember it is getting late, and Papa likes his dinner on time."

"Okay, I will hurry up, it is already seven-fifteen. removing the scarf Christa stood still seeing everyone looking at her.

Recalling Thomas saying to her when he rests the dress on the bed that he was taking her family out to dinner.

But they didn't dress to go out for dinner and all his siblings are here and their spouses. Turning around seeing how beautiful the tent was decorated. Bill and Jill were here also.

Covering her mouth, "Thomas what is the occasion?" Seeing the huge cake, Christa went and look at it closely, happy birthday was written and her name

Christa wasn't aware that he knew when was her birthday. Thinking about it now, 'Is that why he send for my family?'

Whispering, "It's beautiful, thank you but it must have milk?"

"I order it especially for you, it's an orange flavor cake so there's nothing to worry about, you can enjoy it."

Leading her to the table with the beautiful gold trimming cloth. Seeing all the gifts as she removes the golden cloth, all placed neatly on top of each other. "Tell me what you want to do first?" Thomas asks her.

Hearing her ask, "What is the time now?"

"It is seven twenty-five."

Hearing everyone saying, "Let us cut the cake?"

Hearing her laugh, Thomas said, "It seems the majority voice their opinion, but it's your birthday, what do you want?"

"I was thinking we should eat first but if everyone wants to cut the cake, so be it."

Hearing them clap when Papa came and hug me. "Papa, did you know about this surprise and where is Shamil?"

Thomas said, "He will be here any minute now."

At that moment Thomas heard when everyone asks "What is that?" As they turn, Thomas hugs her as Shamil and Jason walk in with something covered so no one can see what was it.

Bill thought, 'He loves to do things in secret,' curious himself to see what is this big surprise he got her.

Feeling Jill cling on to his hand tighter, looking down at her seeing her mouth open as though she can see with her mouth.

Smiling, seeing the others just the same as Jill. Unable to laugh out hard he stifles the laugh, but this is good he has them all in suspense.

Thomas heard her chuckle, looking at her seeing the excitement on her face. Pointing to the spot where he wanted it to rest. Hearing Jason says, "Please excuse me."

"Jason thank you so much for all your help."

"Not a problem Boss, I will see you in the morning."

Thomas waited until Jason left before he said, "Now will you remove the covering?"

Seeing see look at him, then pull the cloth, but it was a big box with no marking to indicate what was inside.

Hearing Shamil clapping shouting "Open, open." As the others join in saying open, open. The atmosphere was charged up with excitement.

Aliza went near Christa and hold her hand as Thomas reach into his pocket and take out his penknife and cut the seal that was keeping the box together.

As the box fell open hearing almost everyone said wowooooo.

Unable to believe her eyes as the tears flow and she reaches out and touches it, "Oh my God, it is so beautiful."

Laura and Louise started to clap as Shamil came and hug her saying.

"Now, this is a happy occasion so stop crying.? Placing the knife in her hand, "That cake looks delicious so let us cut it."

With everyone singing happy birthday but her dad lifts his hand to stop everyone. He shares a few words about being thankful to God, then he prays.

He had blessed Christa once again, then he rest his hand on Thomas's shoulder blessing him, then the food before everyone sings happy birthday and she cut the cake before they have dinner.

Thomas observed how his family had slowly adjusted to the few changes Christa's family made, especially Carla, Massy, and Lester.

With the opening of the gifts and dessert of cake and ice-cream. Christa only had cake because I forget about the milk in the ice cream.
