THOMAS SILENTLY WALKS AWAY

Sunday morning, Thomas rise early, wanting so much to tell her what she said last night in his arms, but he decided it will remain as an unspoken treasure in his heart.

Waking Christa seeing she make herself comfortable in his arm, but he gently stroke her to wake up.

Reaching downstairs for six forty-five, seeing Mom and Dad sitting with her dad and the three younger ones. all dress for Church.

Christa said she will go with my Dad and Mom, while I took the four of them with me to church. We were just about to leave when Aliza call out for us to wait for her. I left with her family and they waited for Aliza.

Service was great especially since Thomas see his whole family was in church once more.

After lunch, her family said goodbye hugging her, then they each sit in the van while I pack their bags in the van.

Her father was happy kissing and hugging her saying his goodbye. Which was shocking but from the time I drive out of the garage. Seeing Aliza hugging her through the review mirror, then we were out of sight.

Looking at the three in the back, the tears flow silently as they hug each other crying. While the father grieves for his child softly brushing the tears away.

At the airport, they all ask that I take good care of her, yet the tears didn't stop as they said their goodbyes and I left.

When Thomas returns from the airport, entering the room he sees Christa sitting by the window leaning her head against the wall looking out.

I thought Aliza might have stayed until I return, but mom said she got a call and she left. The others had also left but Christa don't mingle with them much.

Going to her seeing she was nibbling on a snack but the tears flow silently. Hugging her asking, "Honey, what are you eating?"

As she wipe her face Thomas heard just a whisper, "Do you want a piece?"

"No thanks, I don't like too many sweets." Seeing she lift her hand with a little piece.

Knowing she was grieving when she said. "Just taste it, my sisters made it home and send it for me."

"Okay, just a taste," when she slip the sugar-cake in his mouth, Thomas thought, 'This is so sweet I only hope she doesn't consume all that sweet this evening.' "Honey, I hope you will not eat all of your snacks today?"

"No, I will not, or I won't have any for tomorrow."

"That's my girl. When she cover the kit and turn to me, I knew she wanted to quarry about them but instead she began crying.

Taking her in my arms I sit in the chair gently rocking her having no word to comfort her.

When she fell asleep I rest her on the settee and lie down with her as the cool breeze fill the room.

The days progress slowly thinking the family had adjusted to her and he had found the solution to the problem. At the party, every on hugs and greeted her wishing her a happy birthday.

That was what he wanted so much, so when he left for the three days she won't miss him and feel lonely and be left on her own.

Two days before he left, Thomas had parked his van at the back and walked through the side just as the day he brought Christa from the airport.

Stopping suddenly hearing talking. Thomas listens to their voices, Massy was saying," Mom have you seen how much money Thomas had spent for Christa's birthday party?"

"So what of it Massy, she is his wife who do you expect him to send him money on now?"

"Mom, did you think he only did it because her father was here?"

"Who cares Massy, as you see he told none of us, so just stop the question please."

When Carla asks, "Mom do you think the baby is Tom's baby? And I must say Christ looks very lovely?"

"Will you two do me a favor and stop asking me questions? I don't want to know, now go to your rooms or your homes.

Did you two come just to torcher me with questions? Now, kindly leave me alone and let me think."

"Mom, what is wrong?" Carla asks.

When Lester said, "Mom, I know what is your problem, you still don't want to accept Christa as Tom's wife? But you know what, I am happy for him. And seeing how happy he is, makes me happy."

"Why do you all come to pester me, when you all know how I feel?"

Silently Thomas walks away as he brushes the tears away. 'Oh Lord, I was hoping they will be here for her, but she will still be alone.

I know I cannot cancel this business, I may never get this opportunity again.' Thomas thought of what may happen knowing she still feel the chilliness.

The day Thomas had to leave Christa, as she lay's in his arm in the wee hours of the morning, pondering within his heart if to tell her?

Being sore afraid that she might panic hearing he will be away for three days, he decided against it.

Knowing he had to leave home for six to catch his flight for eight. Kissing her lips to wake her, wondering still if he should tell her?

As he dress quickly, seeing the way she cuddled up the pillow as she continues to talk.

"Sweetheart, I want you to rest and take care of yourself, I will be home soon after I complete all of my business."

Hearing her murmur a few words, but her eyes were still closed. Thomas bends and kisses her lips saying, "I love you very much."

Seeing her smiling as she open her eyes and look at him and wave then Thomas closed the door softly and left, knowing she was happy and comfortable before he left.

Driving away Thomas's heart felt heavy, knowing he didn't tell her that he will be away for three days. Hoping to return home for their fifth month anniversary.
