CHRISTA TRIES TO REASON WITH THOMAS

Seeing his rage Christa said, "Tom please it's not like that." Looking at her wanting to hug and kiss her, how sweet she said his name, but instead. He has become angrier causing him to lose control as he shouts at her.

"Then tell me what to do Christa? Because, I want to be with you, and my family doesn't want to accept that, but I choose to be with you."

Going to him, Christa embraces him, "I am sorry, but try to understand, if anything happens or goes wrong they will blame me, let us return home.

I will stay away from them, how about I go to work with you. So we can be together and I will be safe, and your business will also be safe."

"Are you losing your mind, the Doctor instructed me up to this morning to make sure that you take complete bed rest, so that is my top priority?"

"Tom please." Christa coaxed him trying to get him to understand.

"Okay, but we will stay just for a few days, let me take care of you? Then we will return home, but you must promise me not to do anything stressful and strenuous."

"I promise you, no stress in fact if the van ride will be too jerky and stressful. I will lock myself indoor and won't open it for anyone."

Bending his head slightly then rest it on hers, "I know you are lying for me because you are no house cat, but let us see how you are progressing then I will take the other step.

Now that's enough talk, go to the bathroom, or do you want me to carry you which I am enjoying very much?"

Unable to complete his sentence seeing how quickly she shoot off his side and head towards the bathroom when I laugh calling her a coward.

"I am not, I can assure you of that," she responded.

Thomas felt happy she was looking much stronger than yesterday when he found her.

With the drips and the booster the doctor had given her, it seems to be helping.

But though matter what I do, she always put up a fight. "Lord instead of us fighting, let us love each other please?"

Going to the kitchen Thomas reheated the soup and pour out two bowls. After she had eaten a fair amount, I give her the medication.

She had only sat down for a few minutes when I recalled the druggist said, it will make the patient drowsy. "Christa the druggist said the medication will make you drowsy."

"Then I better lie down."

Looking at her face, and said, "I didn't think that you will be agreeable so quickly."

"What is it you want from me, to rest or to sit with you?"

Her anger was unexplainable. "You go and rest, I am going to clean up the kitchen."

In the room seeing his phone, listened for him then pick it up quickly, observing it was switched off.

Putting it on only to see it had five miss calls, checking the numbers seeing it was his mother.

Locking the door first then went in the bathroom and calls her, leaving a message, "That he is okay and will be home in a few days."

Deleting the call then switch off, resting it on the bed rest right where he had it, then unlock the door and lies down.

After fifteen minutes Christa sits up, feeling the food resting on her stomach. Belching a few times thinking it will ease up but then she had to run to the bathroom.

Sitting on the floor feeling so helpless, 'Is he right that we need to stay for two weeks, the way I am feeling I am unable to take care of myself.

The only person that can prepare my meals now is Mrs. Marva, and she will know exactly what to do."

Thomas finds her on the floor in the bathroom, lifting her, "Tell me what are you feeling to eat and I will get it for you?"

"I am tired and need to lie down," Taking her to the bed, hearing her say, "Maybe you are right, I might just need a two weeks vacation."

"I see, you are finally taking my advice after being defeated."

"I am not defeated, but I need to take some extra rest for a good few days."

"So, we forget about the cow and the business?"

"No, you will return home without me and bring Mrs. Marva, she will be able to take care of me.'

'You got to be kidding right?"

"Forget I mention it before you get on your high horse again, just let me rest, my stomach will settle down soon."

Taking her in his arms, trying to comprehend what she suggested. 'She needs to eat and Mrs. Marva might know exactly what to do, but Mom won't allow her to leave.

Should I return home or do what she suggested?' Thomas hearing her snoring, he easing off the bed and taking his phone.

Calling the house phone whispering, "Please Lord let me speak to Mrs. Marva."

Hearing someone pick up and say, "Hello Fortune resident."

"Mrs. Marva, oh thank God, I need you, Christa is very sick and ask for you to come, can you please?"

Hearing her saying that, "She will be in the square by one." Thomas thank her and switch off.

Thinking, 'That was easier than he thought.'

Seeing he had an hour to meet her, Thomas decided to utilize it wisely. "I better get going, she will need a few more things now that Mrs. Marva is coming."

Parking up not too far from the square, he hurried knowing he have limited time, but half an hour should be sufficient time to purchase the few items.

Hurrying at the Grand Superior Mall, searching out the few ladies' stores, getting a few dresses that were easy for her to get into.

A dozen undergarments and a few other pieces, satisfied with his purchase. "This should do until we are ready to return home."

Putting all the bags in the van, taking a stroll to the square, Thomas knew he didn't arrange a meeting spot.' Walking through the square seeing the groups of people as they relax.

Thinking, 'The rain this morning held back no one. There were some with their umbrellas while others were comfortable without.'
