1 chapter 1

The fourth floor of the building Maya is starring down as the car pack and go and people busy walking. She wants flesh air but the city doesn't provide that, nor does it provide a solution to the problem she is facing. Maya is an eighteen years old but she looks like she is caring the weight of the whole world in her hands. She is so tired, tired of people telling her what to do not even caring what she wants. Taking another deep sign, which is a tenth today. She contemplates jumping. Wold anyone care? Would anyone see the problem she is having? Would anyone cry at her funeral? Now that she thinks about it, she doesn't seem to see anyone who would do that. Everyone seems to be in her life with a purpose or something they want from her. The more she gives the more she has peoples love and she is so tired of having to give to receive things.

Now that she thinks of it more, standing at the edge of the balcony. Her life is meaningless as people would put it. She wanted more and maybe a little love.

"Maya, you coming?"

She breaths coming back to reality, the reality she hates the most. He fictional would is more fun and more lovable.

"Am coming…where are we going?"

She asked coming down from the balcony following her 'best friend' out.

"shopping."

Maya's friend says pulling Maya towards the road.

"At this time?"

"Yes, what's wrong with shopping at this time?"

"It's too early in the morning…don't you think?"

Maya asked trying to make her friend slow down.

"And what do you propose? Sitting in your room watching those Bl dramas of yours?"

Her friend asked angrily pulling her.

"I prefer that much better than walking in the sun."

Her friend laughed.

"Yu are just angry at the world…and…"

She said turning to look at Maya innocently.

"I don't have enough money to buy this cool dress I say yesterday…"

"And you thought I would buy it for you?"

Her friend smiled rubbing the back of her neck.

"What if I don't?"

Maya asked already pissed that her so called best friend only valued her for her money.

"We both know you can't refuse me."

She said confidently pulling Maya into a bus.

"Look, Trish, I don't have the money okay?"

Trish looked at Maya for what seemed like forever.

"You are not serious, are you?"

Trisha asked laughing nervously.

"I am Trisha, I haven't been paid yet and my mum called yesterday requesting more money, the little I had I had to send to her…I am flat right now"

Maya said and all she could see was Trisha's angry face.

"STOP THE BUS…WE ARE GETTING OFF!"

Trisha said to the bus driver.

"Why?"

Maya whispered as the bus came to a stop and she followed her friend out the bus and into the busy streets.

"Why are you angry at me Trisha?"

She asked trying to keep up with her friend.

"We can't go shopping if we don't have money…now can we?"

Maya looked at her for a minute.

"You didn't ask me before you pulled me out of my house…I wold have told you I don't have the money…I thought you got paid and wanted to take me shopping…"

Maya tried to explain to her friend Trisha who seemed to not get less angry.

"Well I was paid last week and all my money is gone…I went shopping with Purity and Nadia."

Maya nodded but said nothing.

"Just forget it…we will get the dress when you get paid next week."

Maya wants to scoff at her but she can't she doesn't have other friends other than her.

"Okay now I have to go…she you soon Maya."
