Part 43: Recall

"oh...uhm." I didn't think Harvey hear that from the kitchen or that he was at the corner listening closely to our conversations.

A shirtless but handsome Harvey was standing in front of me, pouting like I took candy from him. He was waiting for an explanation and I don't want to explain. I sighed and nodded.

"No drinking!" He sternly said.

I pouted and crossed my arms as well. "I can handle it." I said with confidence.

Harvey then tilted his head. "Oh yeah? Do you even recall any memory of last night?" His dark grey eyes looking into my soul for answers.

I looked at him confused. "Did I drink?" If I could think about it...I don't have any memory of last night. I looked at Harvey with wide eyes. "When did I drink?!" I started to get nervous.

Harvey sighed and motioned me to follow him. We were back in my bedroom and I could see three bottles of beer on my study desk. My clothes from yesterday were on the floor and I hid my face in embarrassment.

I looked at Harvey for answers and he shook his head. "No. We didn't do anything. I PREVENTED you." He emphasized his words. "Although you were very cunning and stubborn." He hid his smile with a smirk. "I didn't know a side of you existed until last night. Don't worry, I'll wait till our wedding night."

Harvey came up to me and kissed my forehead. I quickly picked up my clothes from embarrassment and hurried to the washroom.

I first placed my clothes in the laundry basket and I looked at the mirror. Harvey is such a gentleman. That would've been an opportunity for him to do anything at all and he prevented ME. I couldn't bring myself to face him anymore!

I sigh and start to fill the bathtub with water. I need a moment.

Thoughts were running through my head as I struggle to remember yesterday. I can't even recall picking up a bottle and drinking it. Maybe I got a little temporary memory block?! I don't know!

All I know is that I trust Harvey. I don't feel anything sore with me but only my lips. I blushed as I remember the events from earlier. I started to strip off my clothes and sink into the bathtub.

The warm water and my endless thinking were making me tired. Tomorrow will be even more scary since I don't know if it will be the last that we can hang out as a complete group.

I yawn as my body stayed still under the water, making me relax more and more. The lights were off, the sight of the green plants in the bathroom was enough to make me feel at ease.

'Maybe a little shut eye won't hurt.' I said to myself as I close my eyes.

I open my eyes to realize that I was in a dream. A lucid dream. I was in the ocean somehow and fishes of gold were swarming me. I black figure starts to appear from the gold fishes and extends a hand. I could not make up his face but he had a long beard, purple glowing eyes, and a tail.

Is he a merman? I hesitated at first but I took his hand and he shook it with a genuine grin on his face.

I felt my lungs start to hurt.
