Mafia

It was a cold Friday evening. Yoongi was sitting on his bed, reading a book. The story was about two boys who fell in love with each other. Yoongi also likes men, that's why he's so interested in the book. He hasn't told anyone about it yet though. He's afraid that once he tells them, they wouldn't want to be friends anymore. He thought that they might get scared that he'll fall in love with one of them. That's why he just keeps it for himself now. All of a sudden his dad called him, disturbing him from his thoughts. "Yoongi! Come downstairs, we have to talk!" Yoongi sighed. His dad was terrible. His mother died almost right away after she gave birth to Yoongi. His father still blames him, saying that it's his fault that she is dead. That's why he hasn't treated him the way he should. He's kinda nervous, what would his dad want to talk about? He put the book away, stood up and walked downstairs. He saw his dad sitting on the couch in the living room. He decided to sit opposite his dad, just in case. "Listen son, this is important." He looked at Yoongi with a serious and firm expression on his face. "You know that I've always kept my job a secret, right?" Yoongi nodded. Is it gonna be about that? Is he finally going to find out what his dad's job is? "Well, you know… I'm getting too old to keep the business running. So I want you to take it over." "Well, may I know what job it is, before agreeing with you?" He asked. "I'm a mafia. I'm the leader of a mafia group. And since I'm the leader, the rule is that my son has to take over the job. You simply have no other choice. Your first day is next Monday. You'll go by yourself." Yoongi froze. "How could he do that to me? Does he hate me so much?!" Thought Yoongi. He couldn't move, he couldn't talk, he could only scream. He screamed his lungs out. Until his dad slapped him in the face. Tears rolled down Yoongi's cheeks. He stood up and looked at his dad. "I hate you! I rather die than take over your job!" He screamed. Then he ran upstairs into his bedroom and locked his door. He screamed, cried and slammed his head against the wall multiple times. He fell on the ground and rolled himself up, trying to make himself as small as possible. He stayed in his room for the rest of the weekend. He didn't sleep. He also didn't really eat. There were a few chocolate bars in his room which he ate, but besides that he ate nothing. He didn't drink either. He felt hopeless. He had to escape. He had to do something! Then he got an idea. "I should call my friends! They helped me a lot already. Maybe they can help me with this as well." He looked around, searching for his phone. Until he remembered that his phone was still laying downstairs. After thinking for a while, he decided that he would go get it once his dad was asleep. That should be fine. He tried to stay up as long as possible, but eventually he fell asleep earlier than his dad…

The next day he woke up, he didn't feel much better. He immediately remembered everything that had happened. "Shit! I fell asleep!" Yoongi sighed. He got up from his bed and walked towards his door. He tried to hear if his dad was awake. He didn't hear anything, so he assumed that his dad was still asleep. He put his ear against the wall that was in between his dad and his own bedroom. He heard that his dad was snoring. That means it was safe enough for him to get his phone. He opened the door of his bedroom and walked downstairs. He searched in the living room "Where did I leave my phone again…?" He walked towards the couch and saw it laying there. He picked it up and immediately called his friend. The phone rang for a few seconds. "Please Namjoon… pick up the phone." After he said that Namjoon picked up the call. "Hyung, you have to save me!" Yoongi said. "What happened Yoongi?" "Can we meet at a cafetaria? It's a pretty long story, I can't talk about it at home." "Ohh that's fine! We should indeed meet then." "Is it okay if I also bring Seokjin?" Yoongi asked. "Yes sure.. let's all be there in 10 minutes?" "Agreed. I gotta call Jin now." "See you in a bit, bye." Namjoon hung up the phone. Yoongi called Seokjin and he also agreed to come. Yoongi ran upstairs, changed his clothes, packed a bag with everything he needed and then silently walked out of the house. He walked towards the cafeteria. When he arrived there, he looked at the time on his phone. He had walked fast, cause he was 5 minutes early. He decided to just wait there. He was very nervous, but he knew he had to tell his friends. He really hoped that they would be supportive and help him. Three minutes later, he saw Namjoon walking towards him. "Hey Yoongi! I thought I was early, but you're already here. Where's Jin?" "Don't worry about it hyung. Oh, Jin hasn't arrived yet." Namjoon looked at his phone and then said: "He should be here in two minutes." Exactly two minutes later, Jin arrived. He waved his hand towards Yoongi and Namjoon. When he stood in front of them, there was a silence. Namjoon was the first one to speak again. "Should we sit down and order something to drink?" Yoongi and Jin nodded. They sat down on a table and ordered their drinks. Namjoon and Jin were both looking at Yoongi, who hasn't said a word yet. Jin saw that Yoongi was deep in thoughts. He snapped his finger in front of Yoongi's face and said his name. Yoongi was startled out of his thoughts. He looked at Jin with a confused expression on his face. "Yoongi are you okay?" Jin asked him. Yoongi slowly nodded. The drinks arrived and after the waiter was gone, Namjoon said: "So uhm, are you gonna tell us about that what you wanted to talk about?" Yoongi replied: "Yes.. yes hyung I am."
