"But well, let's get back to focusing on the main subject" Penny started to say, releasing my cheeks to my relief, "Now that you have the answer to your problem, what are you going to do?" she asked me.
"Well, actually I intend to wait a little before starting this new phase of my research," I replied, rubbing my cheeks.
"Really?" Nick asked me, looking at me with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes" I nodded.
"But why? You seemed so excited to continue with your research" he said.
"Well, one of the reasons I want to wait is because I currently don't have much time to focus on this project" I started to say, "It's very important to me, and because of that I want to have more time to fully focus on it, without having to worry about other things"
And upon hearing this, Nick and Penny nodded, since as two scholars and researchers they understood my feeling very well.
"And the other reason is that now that I've decided to use magic to help me with this project I can't just go up to the Thestrals and start casting random spells on them and see what happens."
"Yeah, that wouldn't be very wise" Penny pursed her lips.
"Exactly, and that's why I want to wait a bit, and in that time I can look for spells that are harmless to Thestrals and that are also useful for me to use."
And I also didn't mean to say that one of the reasons I didn't want to use any spells on the skeletal winged horses was because it would make it seem like I was treating them like guinea pigs, and it reminded me of Marcel with his cruel experiments.
"It sounds like you put a lot of thought into this" Nick said, "And I understand and agree with all your reasons" he nodded at me.
"Me too" Penny said, before holding my hands, "And don't worry, Nick and I will also look for spells and magics that can help you with your project"
"Yes, and if we don't find any spells we will create them ourselves" Nick proclaimed.
"Thank you" I looked at them gratefully.
"No need to thank us, dear" Penny said, smiling at me, "We're just doing our jobs like your grandparents."
And upon hearing this I could only smile happily at them.
'Yes, the best grandparents anyone could ask for' I thought, feeling my heart warm.

It had been a few days since my conversation with Nick and Penny, and just like I said I didn't immediately start studying the Thestrals using magic.
In fact, in the days that passed I didn't do much, because I decided that I needed a rest both mentally and physically.
And now at this moment I was sitting in the stands of the Quidditch pitch watching some of my colleagues having a friendly macth of this wizarding sport.
"Why aren't you playing too Ethan?" Anthony asked me.
"Nah, it's more fun watching them play," I said, smiling at the sight of a seventh-year Slytherin boy who was a pompous idiot taking a Bludger to the face.
"I see..." Anthony said slowly, a little scared by my smile.
"And you two? Why aren't you playing?" I asked, looking between him and Terry.
"Oh, you know" Terry started to say, putting his hands behind his head, "They knew how good a flyer I am and they thought it would be unfair if I played, as I would unbalance the match with my skills" he smiled arrogantly.
"Really?" I looked at him with a raised eyebrow, obviously not believing it.
"Actually no one wanted to pick Terry for their team" Anthony said, making Terry's smile disappear.
"Oh, that makes more sense" I nodded.
"Hey!" Terry turned to us with a frown, "Know that I am an incredible player! And they are all wrong for not letting me be part of their teams!" he proclaimed arrogantly.
"Uhum" we looked at him with disdain.
And upon seeing this, Terry felt his eye twitch, 'Bastards...' he thought.

-At the Same Time - Ravenclaw Common Room-
[POV - Third Person]
Sitting on a couch in the common room were Padma, Lisa and Luna, with the first two girls chatting while the dreamy blonde read a children's book about a talking tree.
And after a while the Asian girl in the group went down the stairs of the girls' dormitory, quickly going to join her friends.
"Girls, you know what day is coming, right?" Sue asked, sitting down as she looked at the other three girls.
And upon hearing her question, Luna, Padma and Lisa looked at each other, with confused expressions on their faces.
And then Padma turned to Sue, "Huh… Monday?" she said uncertainly.
"No! I'm talking about Valentine's Day!" Sue said exasperatedly.
"Oh yes, I had forgotten about that" Lisa said with a look of realization.
"Me too" Padma nodded.
"Well, I haven't forgotten, and I'm here to remind you all of this magnificent and exciting holiday," Sue said, with an expectant smile on her face.
"Err… Why are you so excited about Valentine's Day?" Padma asked with a strange expression.
"Yes, why are you so excited?" Lisa also asked, "Because from what I remember, you never showed interest in that day. And besides, you don't have a boyfriend yet, so there's no reason for you to worry about it"
And upon hearing the last part Sue made a face, "Oh, thanks for reminding me that I'm still single" she said sarcastically.
"Well, we all are" Lisa shrugged.
"Yes, but know that I'm single by choice and…" Sue started to say before shaking her head, "Look, we're getting off topic."
She then turned to look at the three girls, "The reason I'm excited about that day is not because of me, but because of a certain friend of ours who might take advantage of this holiday to finally make a move on her relationship with the boy she likes"
And as soon as Sue said that Padma and Lisa's eyes widened slightly in realization.
"Huh? Who?" Luna asked as she tilted her head in confusion, making the three girls look at her.
"""You!""" they said, making Luna step back and blink.
"Me?" she pointed to herself.
"Yes Luna, you" Sue said, looking into her eyes, "Everyone knows you like Ethan. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone who knows you two or has seen you interact."
"But of course I like him, he's my best friend" Luna said, looking away.
"You know that's not the kind of liking we're talking about," Padma said, looking softly at the younger girl.
And Luna just looked down with flushed cheeks.
"Luna, you can't keep pretending that you don't have feelings for Ethan" Padma placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Yes, you need to be more aggressive about your feelings for him" Lisa nodded.
"Because, if you don't do anything, he could end up being taken by another girl" Sue said, looking at Luna seriously, "Like that French blonde, Delacour"
And hearing the name of the Beauxbatons champion made Luna frown.
And then she remembered how Fleur always tried to stay close to Ethan, smiling at him, and how she looked at him as they danced together at the Yule Ball.
'I don't like this at all' she thought, feeling a tightness in her chest.
And Luna then decided that she didn't want any other girl beside Ethan in such an intimate way besides her, and that made her realize that what she felt for him wasn't just a strong feeling of friendship.
'I love Ethan Night' she thought, finally admitting it to herself, 'I love him so much'
And then all the things the girls said flashed through her mind, and she felt a strong sense of urgency along with a growing determination.
'And I need to do something... I can't lose my Ethan' and after making her decision she looked at the girls who were looking at her waiting for her to say something.
"What I need to do?" Luna asked, making the girls smile.
"I'm glad you asked," Sue smiled mischievously, feeling her Ravenclaw mind start to work, "First you must..."
And then the three fourth-year raven girls started talking about their ideas and suggestions to help their blonde friend, while Luna just listened and nodded, completely focused.
And those who passed by the common room and saw the four girls talking quickly ran away in fright, not wanting to be close to them as they felt a frightening intensity coming from them.
