-Nights' House – July 30th-

"So it's starting," I muttered to myself as I read today's edition of the Daily Prophet in my room.

"Sirius Black escape from Azkaban" I read the news on the front cover of the paper. I then went to my suitcase and took a box that was inside one of its compartments.

Opening the box I saw several news clippings from the Daily Prophet and other newspapers. In these clippings there were news about the many decades of the wizarding world, from the rise and fall of Voldemort to the Grindelwald attacks in 1940.

I had cut out these articles from various old newspapers that I ordered or found in the Room of Hidden Things.

These clippings with news was my way of understanding all the things that happened and will happen in the wizarding world, since the books and movies didn't explain some events well.

Looking at one of the news clippings I saw a photo of Sirius the day he was sent to Azkaban, and next to it I saw a Muggle newspaper news of the murder of 12 people on a busy street, caused by an explosion in a gas pipeline.

"It would all be easier if people read the old newspapers before making assumptions," I said, since with only a few newspapers I could see the discrepancy in the case of Sirius' arrest.

But even with these discrepancies the case against Sirius still had a solid argument, as the idiot didn't even try to defend himself or exonerate himself. The day Pettigrew framed Sirius and killed all those people, Sirius basically assumed he was guilty.

Okay, he felt guilty for the deaths of two of his best friends and so he didn't consider himself completely innocent, but he should have thought better of his actions.

And now here I am, thinking of a way to exonerate him while also planning a way to get Pettigrew to escape to find Voldemort.

I cannot allow Pettigrew to be arrested, nor can I allow him to get away too soon.

He has to find Bertha Jorkins, and with that Voldemort will find out about Barty Jr. and will begin his rebirth plan in the third task of the Tri-Wizard tournament.

After that, I can finally say 'Fuck it' to canon, as my only concern is with the location of the Horcruxes and the method and timing of Riddle's rebirth.

And in addition to making these plans for this year, I've also been completing some old projects, and I started doing that since the beginning of my vacation.

The first project I tried to complete was my Unsupported Flight that I've been training. I couldn't repeat my feat that I did in the Chamber of Secrets, as this spell proved to be very difficult to master, so I can only assume that I was able to use it against the Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets because of an explosion of accidental magic.

The second thing is that I'm still trying to create my absolute defense spell based on the magic of Thestrals, and so far I'm just finishing my theoretical studies, as I can't have access to a Thestral at any time to analyze them.

My third project, which is also my oldest, is my attempt to master the Patronus Charm.

I can create a big barrier, but I still can't cast a Corporeal Patronus, and I don't know why.

I have a lot of good memories from my two lives, and I know my magic power isn't the problem, but it still doesn't help me understand what I'm doing wrong.

I may need to ask Professor Lupine or Professor Flitwick for some tips when classes start, and until then I can deal with the Dementors using my Incorporeal Patronus.

But back to the subject...

My fourth project is a new project that I started after an accidental discovery. This project boils down to me trying to come up with a method to track down Voldemort's other Horcruxes.

I knew that Riddle's souls, even though they were separate, still had a connection to each other, and so I began to study the two Horcruxes in my possession to create a tracker for the other pieces of Voldemort's soul.

My efforts so far have proved unfruitful, but that didn't worry me as I knew I just needed a little more time for my project to work out.

On one of the days when I was analyzing Riddle's diary, I felt something, and even though it was a very faint sensation I could feel that the soul piece in Ravenclaw's diadem was calling out to the soul piece in the diary, and that confirmed some of my old theories.

I was sure that at least by my fifth year I would have a way to find the other Horcruxes I didn't know whereabouts.

And maybe this will become faster when I get the locket in the Blacks house and the ring in the Gaunt shack.

And then only the cup and Nagini would be missing.

So with that, all my projects already had a starting and ending point, but all of that would also be easier if I could exonerate Sirius and let Pettigrew get away.

"Sigh... Why do I think this year is going to be much more complicated than last year?" I wondered, looking up at my bedroom ceiling lost in thought.

-Diagon Alley-

"I don't think I'll ever cease to be impressed by this place," my dad said as we walked through the wide but crowded and busy streets of Diagon Alley.

"Dad, I've basically spent the last two years living in the wizarding world, and yet I'm still amazed at the things magic can do," I said, reading my materials list.

'I almost forgot that Hagrid is going to be our Care of Magical Creatures teacher this year' I thought, looking at the list of books for my electives and seeing the damn Monster Book he asked for.

I had chosen only Care of Magical Creatures and Ancient Runes to be the electives I was going to study this year, as the others didn't interest me.

In fact, the only other elective that seemed interesting to me was Arithmancy, but I could study it myself with the help of some books, and any questions I could talk to Professor Vector

And having only two electives left me with more time to work out this year's problems.

"Hmm, now that I think about it, you've been in the wizarding world for two years... Have you ever thought of publishing your books here too dear?" my mother asked me with her hand on her chin in thought.

...

...

...

"You know, I never actually thought about that," I said, stopping to walk and rubbing my chin, "I'd probably have to talk to some wizard lawyer about what to do...no offense mom, but I think a wizard would have more experience in handling legal matters from here" I said looking at her.

"No offense taken, I don't think I'd have the patience to deal with wizarding laws and wizards themselves," my mom said waving her hand dismissively.

"Hmm, I think I'll ask the Goblins if they know any good law firms," I continued, "But I probably won't have too many problems with my books getting published, and if I can't get them published here in England, I'll I can talk to Nick to publish in France and the rest of the world" I shrugged.

"Oh, that reminds me that Penny told me to warn you that if the books you're giving her as a gift aren't autographed, she's going to come over here herself to 'Show him why I've already been called The Mad Immortal in 1572'" my mother said, and this time I turned to look at her in a mixture of confusion, curiosity, and fear.

"Well, autographed books then" I nodded to myself.

'What the hell is up with these immortals and their suspiciously specific and mysterious dates?!' I wondered.

"You know, I'm starting to think that madness is something common and even expected in wizards" my father said, noticing my slight tremor and curiosity.

"Said the man who still has his childhood teddy bear on his bedroom shelf" I scoffed as I rolled my eyes, with my mom huffing.

"I don't want to hear that from the brat who tried to ask for a knife for his 6th birthday" my dad snapped.

"A knife or a teddy bear, which is better?" I asked rhetorically without even looking at my father.

"Teddy bear, obviously," he said, and I couldn't tell if he was serious or not.

"And that's why mommy wears the pants in this relationship," I commented dryly.

My mom who was watching our exchange could only put her hand over her mouth to stop herself from laughing, with Cele looking confused at both of us.

'A teddy bear or a knife?' she wondered, but then an image came to her mind, 'Oh, a teddy bear holding a knife!' she thought with a look of wonder on her face and an excited smile.

I, who was still mocking my father, felt a strange sensation.

'My weirdness radar is beeping...' I thought looking around, not finding anything and not even noticing my sister letting out a few happy giggles every now and then.

End.
