Chapter 23

Luna glared at Sebastian as he closed the door behind him. He went into her room in the annex of the mansion after talking with the Marquess. He was still emotional when she left with the butler. Sebastian stayed with his father and comforted him.

"How can you do this to your father? And why on earth did you even bring me here? What were you thinking?" Luna angrily snapped at him.

He did not answer and just sat on the sofa rubbing his head.

"I should have gone with Prince Grey. I can't believe you did not tell your father about my face. That was very very wrong! I have to leave. I can't stay here. What if your other family member saw me?"

"Don't worry. Nobody visits the annex often and I will assign a few trusted servants to take care of you. You don't have to leave."

"No! I will stay the night and leave early the next morning."

Sebastian exhaled.

"Prince Grey will visit here probably next week. Don't decide so hastily. Father will recover just like me."

Luna sat on the sofa opposite Sebastian.

"Fine, I will wait until Prince Grey come. I can't meet any of your family members again. I don't want anybody having a heart attack upon seeing my face. But tell me, what is the reason for you bringing me here?"

"It just... Well, Grey can't bring you to the Capital. People will gossip if they see you together so I suggest you come with me. We can go to the capital together and people will less likely to gossip."

Luna understand and did not press anymore. She knows that many people have eyes on the prince and any flaw will cause him harm. She doesn't want that.

Later in the day, Luna asked Mira to walk around. She enjoyed the summer season in the territory and wanted to breathe the cool air outside.

Luna looked around and saw a familiar plant. It was like ordinary grass but it can be used to dye hair into a different color. She still has a few ingredients kept in her bag to make a dye. Once back to the annex she made a dye and colored her hair ash brown.

"Oh, my Lady! That color looks so good on you!" Mira exclaimed.

She brushed her hair and styled it beautifully.

Luna looks at herself in the mirror and thinks of other ways to change her appearance. There are chances that she will cross paths with Sebastian's family members and she doesn't want to surprise them as the marquess did.

***********

Claudius always wakes up early and does his sword exercise for 2 hours. After breakfast, he will stay in his office to read and sign important documents. In the afternoon, he will leave and survey the territory and talk with important people. He is always busy after taking over the work of his father. He was always sick after losing his only daughter. He could not keep up with all the work. Yesterday his father asked him to dismiss all the servants. Sebastian will bring someone that should not be seen by anyone. This is very unlikely of him. This could be related to the Prince thus he just let it go. Besides, he is a busy person and has time to pry. Especially these past few days, he lacks sleep and is always in his office.

After a while of scanning the documents in his hands, he stood up and opened the window to breathe some fresh air. In his window, he can view the garden and the annex of the mansion ahead.

In the blink of an eye, he saw a woman standing with ginger hair like him. He can see the side of her face that oddly looks familiar. He closed his eyes for a second trying to process what he saw but when he looked again, she is nowhere to be found in sight. The only woman that has ginger hair in the mansion is his adopted sister which is now in the capital with his mother. The woman earlier looks very similar to his dead sister, Georgina. He thought this was due to a lack of sleep. He is seeing things like a grown-up Georgina.

Three and a half years ago when he received the news of her abduction. He hunted the people that took her and ended up seeing the pieces of her clothing, shoes, and her blood on the edge of the cliff. The most terrifying moment of their family. He knows then that all hope of seeing her again crumbles like dust. His mother suffered the most. She almost lost insanity.

Ginger hair is very uncommon, which is why when his mother saw a girl with ginger hair with the same age as his lost sister, she decided to adopt her and it helped her a lot. At first, he was against it. This could be a scam or a spy trying to enter the family. He did a thorough investigation. Emily is a sweet and kind girl. She grows up in a poor family. She is always humble and obedient. She worked as a servant before his mother found her. His mother loves her a lot. They all learned to care for her too except Sebastian.

He heard a knock on the door and saw his father and brother enter.

He greeted his father and then looked at his younger brother.

"Welcome back." He greeted his younger brother with his usual cold expression.

Usually, he would joke around him but now his face seems a little serious. His father too.

He asked them to set and asked the butler for tea. It seems that they will have to talk about something important.

"Claudius, Sebastian found your sister Georgina." His father announced.

His eyebrow raised as he heard the unexpected news.

"What?" He asked.

"I brought her back home," Sebastian answered.

The first thing that comes to mind is his brother is scammed. He must have brought someone that look like their sister like his mother brought Emily. But at least Emily did not claim to be Georgina and he verified that she is not a spy or a scammer.

"Father, Sebastian, you know what happened to Georgina. She can't survive the height of that cliff."

"I know you won't believe me. Let us bring her to the temple to verify her identity." Sebastian responded.
