The Start

It was morning, the sun was shining, birds were tweeting. Henry Mak woke up to the sun coming through the window blinds. Henry got up out of his bed and went into the kitchen. The kitchen had marble countertops. A new Samsung fridge, and a gas oven. Henry went over to his coffee maker, and he Took out his coffee cup out of his wood cabinets and put his cup under the coffee maker, then he put a Teaspoon of instant coffee in his cup. He clicked 8oz the size of one coffee cup, then hit start, the hot steaming water came down into the cup, as the hot water started mixing with the instant coffee. He got out his creamer and sugar. Once the coffee was done, he poured 2 Spoonfuls of sugar and one spoonful of creamer into his cup. He finished drinking his coffee and headed out the door. He saw a truck lose control Infront of him because the driver was having a heart attack. The truck took a sharp left and came straight for him and crashed into him.

Henry opened his eyes after he was hit. He found himself in a pure white room that looked like it was endless. He heard an echoing voice telling him something. "Please, I beg you god, please save us the Samurai." Henry was confused he thought 'I'm not god why would I be hearing this.' Then as soon as he thought that he heard behind him. "Hello, Henry I summoned your soul after your death for a certain reason." Henry was confused, he looked behind him and saw a 10-foot man dressed in a pure shiny white robe. Henry asked, "Who are you, and why am I here." The man responded with "I am God, the one who created it all." Henry looked confused. Just as he was about to say something God started talking again. "The reason I've summoned you is to save the world of Samurai from getting took over by the emperor with modern weapons like muskets, etc." Henry had the look of confusion and worry on his face. He said, "I can't do anything I'm as weak as a chicken I don't even have any fighting skills." God responded with a look of joy. "Don't worry I will be giving you the strength of a bull, the wisdom of a great library, and the ability to learn things instantly and master them." Henry looked reassured, but as he was about to ask another question his vision went all black and he woke up in an old room.

When Henry sat up, he got an instant rush of memories of the body he was in. The name of the body was Edward Sewart. He was an American soldier that has been trained in hand-to-hand combat. He was captured after being shot by an arrow in the knee. He got took to a room and held a prisoner, and he was bandaged up. Edward said to himself "I guess I have to help the Samurais but where am I." As soon as he said that and man in Japanese clothing came through the door. He said "Greetings, I am Henkai Kamoto, I'm here to take you to Kamamoto. He is our Leader." Edward stood up and walked to the door. Henkai looked displeased as he didn't introduce himself and just walked past him. Henkai ordered him "Follow me." Edward was taken into a room that looked like a dojo there was an old man at the end of the room. There were swords behind the old man and a alter with a picture of a woman on it. Edward thought to himself 'I guess I don't have to worry about finding the Samurai.' Henkai walked towards the old man and whispered into his ear, "here is the man we captured from the battlefield, his name is Edward Sewart." Henkai then went to the side after he bowed. The old man stood up and bowed, then sat back down. The old man said "Hello, I am Kamamoto Retsu. We have captured you because we need someone with the intel of the American troops. And we will be taken in as one of our samurai. If you don't agree you will be killed." Edward nodded; Edward then sat down. Kamamoto told him, "First, you are going to need to learn our ways of doing things by seeing how rude you are with manners." Edward Nodded and Said "Yes, Si..." Kamamoto stopped him before he finished his words and said, "call me sensei." Henkai walked over to Edward and gave him a book called "the way of the Samurai." Edward read the book in a couple of minutes and fixed the way he sat and bowed. Kamamoto was surprised as he didn't think that he would only need a couple minutes to learn and master the book perfectly. Kamamoto then called over Henkai. "Make him train the way of the sword. Take him to the training grounds." Henkai went to Edward and pulled him outside. "I'm going to train you with the sword. Follow me to the training field." Said Henkai. Edward and Henkai walked to the training area. Edward looked around as he walked, he saw Blacksmiths making swords. People train at their homes. People planting in fields. The scenery was great too. There were cherry blossom trees everywhere. The sun shone directly on the trees, and it made the trees look even better. Small pods with Coys were everywhere also.

Edward and Henkai reached the training dojo. As soon as they walked into the dojo everyone looked at them with concern. Henkai told them "Don't worry he is on ours now and I'm going to teach him the sword." Everyone looked at ease, but still worried. Edward and Henkai walked to the side of the dojo and grabbed a wooden stick shaped like a Samurai sword. Edward looked around the dojo. It was beautiful, the walls had pictures of flowers, swords, fighting, etc. Henkai got Edwards's attention and told him, "Show me what you know." Henkai went to hit him with a downwards strike. Edward blocked it then Henkai used his sword and pushed Edwards's sword away and won with a sword to the neck. Henkai told him to "Get some sleep tomorrow we will train." Edward started walking back to his room. Once Edward got to his room a box of food was at his door attached to the door handle. The box had a note on it that said "From: Kamamoto." Edward walked in and sat at the broken table in his room. He opened the box of food and found noodles with chopsticks. He picked up the chopsticks and tried to learn how to hold them. He mastered them instantly. He then ate the noodles bit by bit. The noodles tasted awesome. They tasted like 5-star food from any restaurant from where he was from. When he finished eating, he felt happy. He went to bed shortly after. It was hard to fall asleep because his bed was old and rusty.
