chapter 5

Here I was, standing in my room with my backpack on, ready to leave for the Pokemon Academy. In it, I had packed some of my books and a notebook, along with a few other writing tools. I was wearing a normal T-shirt and jeans, but inside, I was a mix of nervousness and excitement.

My luggage had already been teleported to the academy island, but I was going to be teleported there myself by a psychic Pokemon. However, I couldn't shake the thought of the journey ahead of me.

I thought we were going by ship like the other students, but the island my mother bought was special, farther away than what ships can take us.

The island my mother had bought was located in the middle of Gyarados and Kingdra's territorial waters, two of the most dangerous sea Pokemon in the region. They were known to be territorial and aggressive towards other Pokemon and humans who enter their territory.

My mother had assured me that the island was completely safe, as she had taken great care to create a barrier around it that would deter any wild Pokemon from approaching. She had also hired a team of skilled trainers to help protect the island and its inhabitants.

Despite all these precautions, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of fear. I looked at my mother, who was standing in front of me with a solemn expression. She could tell that I was nervous and took my hand in hers.

"Kian, I know this is a dangerous world, but I promise you that you'll be safe on the island. I've taken every precaution possible to make sure that nothing happens to you or anyone else on the island," she said, her voice soft but firm.

I nodded, knowing that my mother had always been a woman of her word. She had a steely determination that helped her become one of the most successful businesswomen in the region. If anyone could make the island safe, it was her.

She looked at me with a mix of pride and sadness in her eyes. I knew that she was proud of me for pursuing my dreams, but at the same time, she didn't want to see me leave.

"I can't believe my little boy is leaving home," she said, her voice catching in her throat.

I smiled at her. "I'm not so little anymore, Mom," I said, trying to keep my voice steady.

She walked over to me and hugged me tightly. "I know, but you'll always be my little boy," she said, her voice muffled by my shoulder.

We stayed like that for a few moments, neither of us wanting to let go. But eventually, we did. My mother stepped back and looked at me again, her eyes filled with tears.

"Promise me you'll be careful," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I will, Mom," I said, trying to reassure her.

"And promise me you'll come back to me," she said, her voice shaking.

"I promise," I said, feeling a lump form in my throat.

My mother smiled at me through her tears. "Okay then," she said, taking a deep breath. "It's time to go."

As I nodded, I reached for my backpack and made my way toward the door, followed closely by my mother. We stepped out into the front yard where a member of the academy's staff, accompanied by his Starmie, awaited us to teleport me to my new home. My mother would not be joining me on this journey.

From what I know Starmies don't teleport long distances, only short ones. But I did read that with enough power and concentration, it can also teleport over long distances.

As we walked outside, my eyes fell upon a middle-aged man with a towering Starmie by his side. It was impressive to see a Pokemon capable of teleportation, as I knew it required extensive training and skill. Observing the Pokemon's behavior towards the staff member, I could tell they had a strong bond.

My mom hugged me and said to me.

"I love you, Kian," she said, her voice filled with emotion.

"I love you too, Mom," I said, before stepping outside. Ready for a new chapter in my life. I greeted the staff member and his Pokemon, he politely greeted me back. I said I was ready, he nobbed his head. A man of few words I see.

I waved goodbye to my crying mother, she waved back and then we were gone. Next thing I know I was in front of a huge towering building. It looked majestic. It had 6 floors.

The staff member then gave me a tour of the academy, and I learned that the first floor was the reception area, while the second floor was for training and dining.

The third floor was a Poke Mart, offering various items and other supplies. The fourth floor housed a hospital, complete with state-of-the-art technology, where both Pokemon and trainers could receive medical attention. The fifth floor was the classroom, where teachers give lectures. And Finally, the top floor was entirely dedicated to me, complete with a bedroom, kitchen, library, and all the luxuries of an upscale apartment.

Taking a deep breath, I realized that this was the beginning of a new chapter in my life, filled with endless possibilities and exciting adventures.

As I looked at the man, I couldn't help but feel a pang of curiosity rise in me. "Excuse me," I said, "but where do the staff and other personnel of the island sleep?"

The man smiled at me, "Ah, good question! They sleep in another building, just next to it. It's a bit bigger than this one, and has more floors."

I nodded, feeling relieved that there was another building where everyone else could stay. I don't know how I didn't notice it before, but as he pointed it out, I saw that it was just there, beside the one I was in.

"Maybe I got too excited and got tunnel vision," I thought to myself.

The man must have noticed my relief because he chuckled and said, "Don't worry Kian. We take care of everything here. You'll have everything you need, and more."

I looked up at him and smiled, feeling reassured by his words. "Thank you," I said.

I was intrigued. I turned to the staff member and asked, "Can you show me the building where the staff sleeps? I want to see it."

"Of course," he replied with a smile. "I can take you there now if you like."

Without hesitation, I nodded my head and followed him toward the other building. As we walked, I couldn't help but notice the beauty of the island. The trees were tall and lush, and the air was filled with the sweet scent of flowers. The sun was shining brightly, and the blue sky was without a single cloud. The island was serene, and I felt at peace.

We arrived at the other building, and I couldn't believe my eyes. The building was massive, much larger than mine. It was made of a shiny white material that seemed to glimmer in the sun. There were multiple floors, and each one seemed to be more luxurious than the last.

As we entered the building, I could feel the coolness of the air-conditioning against my skin. It was a welcome relief from the heat outside. We took the elevator up to the top floor, and as we stepped out, I was amazed. The top floor was a communal area, filled with sofas, chairs, and a large TV. The space was decorated with colorful paintings, and the walls were adorned with pictures of Pokemon.

"This is where the staff comes to relax after a long day," the staff member said as he gestured to the room. "We have movie nights, game nights, and just hang out here. It's a great way to bond with each other."

I smiled at the thought of spending time with my colleagues in such a lovely space. "It's beautiful," I said. "Thank you for showing me."

The staff member nodded and led me to the lower floors, where the rooms were. Each room was spacious and had a comfortable bed, a large TV, and a private bathroom. The staff member explained that each room was designed to make the staff feel at home, with a personal touch added to each one.

As I walked through the building, I could feel the warmth and friendliness of the staff. They greeted me with smiles and made me feel welcome. I knew I was going to enjoy my time here.

Before we left, I turned to the staff member and asked, "How do I join in on the movie nights?"

He chuckled and replied, "Just show up, we'll be happy to have you."

The man noticed my hesitation and smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry, Kian. You'll make new friends and have a great time here," he said.

I nodded, feeling slightly better. The man then handed me a map of the academy island and pointed out the locations of the different facilities. He also gave me a brief overview of the island's history, including how my mother had bought it and turned it into a haven.

As we walked back toward my building, I felt grateful to be a part of such a welcoming community. The island was not just a place for Pokemon training, but it was also a home away from home.

I couldn't believe I would be living in such a wonderful place, with everything I needed just an elevator ride away. I felt both excited and nervous at the same time.

Another staff member led me to the elevator and we went up to the sixth floor. As the doors opened, I was greeted by a stunning view of what was before me. I walked out of the elevator and into my new apartment.

The first thing that caught my eye was the massive bookshelf that covered an entire wall. It was filled with all sorts of books on Pokemon, ranging from ancient myths to scientific studies. I could spend hours just browsing through them.

Next, I checked out my bedroom, which had a king-sized bed with plush pillows and a soft comforter. The room was decorated with blue and white colors, and there was a large window that overlooked the city.

The kitchen was fully equipped with modern appliances, a spacious fridge, and a pantry stocked with all sorts of snacks and ingredients. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the level of luxury provided in this apartment.

As I explored my new home, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this opportunity. I had always dreamed of becoming a Pokemon trainer, and now I had the chance to train and learn in the best possible environment.

As I sat down on the couch, taking in the beauty of my new apartment. Although some may see it as irresponsible to leave an 11-year-old alone, I had always been self-reliant. I didn't have to worry about cooking for myself if I didn't want to, as there was a cafeteria conveniently located on the second floor.

Growing up, my family was wealthy, but my mother made sure that I was never spoiled or entitled. We didn't have maids at home, so I learned to be independent at a young age. My past experiences also helped me adjust to this new setting more easily as I was a college student before.

I spent the next few hours unpacking my belongings and exploring my new home. I was amazed by the luxury and comfort of my apartment. It was bigger than my entire house back home, and I couldn't believe that I was going to be living here for the next few years.

I also saw on the map that the island was equipped with various training facilities, including a swimming pool, a gym, and several fields for practicing battle techniques. I knew that I was going to be able to train and learn a lot on this island.

I won't be going into too much dept with the academy. I want my MC to start his pokemon journey as soon as possible.
