Ch. 77 Battle of Marley vii

Pov.

-Colt-

"Enough!" Magath shouts

He pulled Gabis arm into the air just as she pulled the trigger

"Kgh*" I grit my teeth seeing she was really going to blow his brains out

"Magath.." I huff under my breath as he took the handgun away from Gabi

His pants were torn and his shirt had been burnt off

"Falco.. Colt, I don't know what's going on but it isn't looking too good for Marley.." he huffs "Zeke been sitting there for a while now and Gilliard is surely about to fall"

"Shut up Magath, don't talk to them!" Gabi growls

"Now's not the time!"

"You're the enemy! Your dad killed them!" She charges at me before Magath yanks her back

"Calm down, Gabi."

"Zeke isn't one of yours.. you know that right?"

"What are you talking about?" Magath asks

"Eren tried to ambush Pieck and I back in Liberio, Zeke was there with him."

"Bullshit!" Gabi growls

"Shut up, you idiot!" I shout before Gilliard gets smashed into the ground

"That's enough of that" Zeke pulls himself up

"This can't be good for either of us" I say as Zeke let's Eren devour Gilliard

"Falco, what do you think?"

Knowing him, he's the most likely of us to figure out what Eren is planning

"W-well…" he thinks "looks like they're waiting for my father to defeat the War hammer at the very least"

"Right.. they aren't a match for either at full power," Magath says

"Zeke has a good arm so I'm assuming he'll launch rocks at dad once he beats the war hammer" Falco says

"Or whoever of the two wins" Magath says

"The War Hammer doesn't stand a chance." I tell Magath

"Her hardening is infinite, there's no way he can stand against that"

"You haven't met my father.. he's a monster, he can control the power of the Titans he possesses even in his human state, if he wanted to he can use the colossals strength without having to transform into it"

Magath doesn't respond

It's the reality, father is nearly invincible as he is now

"There's three likely ways this can go.. first off their plan has many holes, it's more of a gamble than anything.." Falco says "if they don't manage to get to dad before he devours the war hammer.. than we win

If they get to dad then Eren will surely eat the war hammer and we're all done for"

"What's the third possibility?" Magath asks

"another gamble." Falco smiles "we have to let Eren and Zeke go before we pull Reiner out. Eren will most likely have the War Hammer by then. They'll likely beat the shit out of dad but knowing him, he'll manage.."

"Why do we have to wait till they go? Can't we just help Reiner out now?" Gabi asks

"If they see Reiner is still alive they'll surely deal with him first" Falco says

"After Reiner is free we have to hope he'll be able to reach dad in time, the both of them should be an equal match for Eren and Zeke," he says "no they'll slaughter them if anything"

"And whoever is the last one standing will decide on our future" he adds

"So this is it then.. the grand.. finally" I smile

"Reiner isn't going to lose to your dad" Gabi says

"Is that what you think?" Falco smiles

"Tch" Gabi crosses her arms

"Now we play the waiting game" I say

And so we did

We waited and waited and waited and waited

Minutes felt like hours depending on how fast we move will decide on our fate..

Pov.

-Sasha-

We were all waiting for the moment Zeke and Eren decide to launch their assault

We had been listening to Falcos plan with the devices Hange bugged them with when they saw them leave our house earlier today

"Wow, is Falco really yours?" Connie asks

"For real he came up with that solid plan without hesitation…" Hange says

We waited for a few more minutes before..

"Now," Zeke grumbles

They both launch themselves towards Kara, sprinting as fast as they could

The moment Zeke decided to follow behind Eren was the moment we all took our shot to get to Colt

General Magath pulls Gabi behind himself

"Sasha.." Colts eyes widen, surprised to see me

"Mom we have to.." Falco says

"We know" I say before he could explain a thing

"Wh-what?" Falco asks

"We kinda sorta bugged your clothes" Hange says

"Hange, hey, what's up?!" Colt calls out as she landed right beside me

"Colt?" She turns to him

"Colt?!" Connie and Jean shout as well

"Hey you guys" Colt smiles widely

"Hey, whoa?! you're massive!!" Connie pats his back

"I remember when you were so tiny and adorable, now you're one big hunk, am I right?" Hange nudges his shoulder

"Almost twenty years, damn it's been a while" Jean smiles

"So where's your kid, Sasha?" Connie asks

"H-hey what do you mean you bugged my clothes?" Falco asks

"Hehe" Hange giggles "we put this weird small box thingy in your wallet that absorbs sound and sends it to our bigger box thingy" she poorly explains the function on a radio

"I-in my wallet?" Falco asks

"W-wait so how much have you been listening?!" He asks

"Well ever since we saw you leaving Sasha's house, we knew you might be close to Kara, but we never thought you'd both be his, till your mom told us of course" Hange says

"You and Gabi did clean after yourselves, right Falco?" I ask hoping I won't find the house in a mess and smelling like fish if we ever get back

"W-wait you heard that too?!" His eyes widen

"Hehe, yeah that was freaking hilarious man you should've seen how angry your mom was" Connie giggles

"Wait.. so does that mean you've known about Eren?" Colt asks

The question kills the mood and everyone went silent

"Yeah.." Connie sighs

"C'mon we've wasted enough time" We hear Mikasa pushing through the crowd

She raises her blades and Falco quickly ducks

Her swing slices the armored Titans fingers off

"H-hey what the hell was that?!" Falco jumps to his feet ready to square up with Mikasa

"Hurry up we have to free him" I say as I jump inside with Falco

"Here this should do" Hange tosses me an adrenaline shot, though I still had one left

I stab it into Reiners neck before stepping back

"Aagh!" Reiner gasps

I quickly draw my bow, aiming straight at the space between his eyebrows as everyone else trained their rifles at his head

"L-Lisa.." Reiners eyes widen as he calls me by my alias

"Try again."

"S-Sasha…" he sighs

"I don't suppose you forgot about your good old section commander Hange, did you?" Hange smiles

"What about your friends? You know the ones that were there for you since the beginning" Jean asks

"Yeah, tell us Reiner, you remember stabbing us in the back?" Connie asks

He doesn't respond

"You know what, Hange? I'm thinking we should just go ahead and kill him before he turns on us again" Jean says

"No, stop!" Gabi shouts "don't you dare touch him!" She growls as they cuffed her hands behind her back

"Heh, yeah that does sound like a great idea" Reiner chuckles "but from the looks of it you need me now more than ever"

"You were listening?"

"Yes.. I was.." he sighs

"There are only two sides… pick now"

"Tch*" Reiner smacks his lips "I'll make up my mind the moment I am brought to my knees" he stands up

I lower my bow before signaling everyone to withdraw their weapons

"Right now, Zeke is my only enemy" he clenches his fist

"I'm glad you know how it feels" Connie says

"Make sure Eren doesn't get his hands on Kara," I add

"You do realize Kara would much rather die than fight by my side"

I smile

"Well you're free to do what you'd like with Kara afterwards, but.. I can guarantee, you don't hold a prayer"

"Is that what you think?" Reiner smiles

"Do you need a knife?" Jean asks so that he can transform

"No, I have trained beyond that" he walks towards the crowd that opened up for him

"What are you talking about?" Falco asks

"Ask your father.. I'm sure he would understand" he gives us a little smirk as he walked himself onto the open field

We all watch as a massive lightning strike blasts Reiner in the chest before he began growing limb by limb

His main body was transforming into the Titan itself

Just like.. Kara..

It was only a matter of time till he was a 20 meter Armored Titan

His armor had been reinforced with hardened skin, even his joints were blocked

There wasn't a single visible weak spot

"He made that power his own.." Falco says as Reiner began moving

"I have to go"

"What? No they should be fine on their own" Connie says

"Kara might need me, if he's in no condition to fight he'll be killed" I shoot my anchors at the building launching myself out of there

"Sasha no!" Hange shouts

"It's fine, round up with Levi and we'll get out of here the moment we have the chance to escape!" I shout before I land on Reiners shoulder

"Hmm?" He notices me

"Take me with you"

He holds his hand out for me

I jump into his palm

"Hold on tight" he grumbles before clenching his fist making sure I wouldn't fly out

I could feel him picking up speed charging straight into battle

"GRUAGHHHH!!" he roars as I hear him slam his fist onto Erens jaw

He opens his hand catching Kara before setting us both down

"REINER!" Zeke roars

"Kara!" I shout

He had a massive hole in his chest where I could very clearly see his heart pumping

But it was slowing down fast

"J-just stay with me for a little longer, Kara!" I reach inside his chest

I squeeze his heart, hoping I can force it to pump blood through this body for a while longer as I tried finding the adrenaline shot I had in my pocket

Wait..

"N-no, no, no, no, no!" I shout as the hole began closing

"Why is it closing?!" I scratch at his chest after his body somehow managed to close up the hole, protecting his heart

I set my ear on his chest in hopes that his heart kept beating on its own

I heard it thump once.. then once more.. and then…

It went silent

I couldn't hear a thing..

Nothing.. not a single beat…

I set my fingers on his throat, trying to find a pulse

But nothing

I grab his wrist

Again..

nothing…

I felt my eyes already drowning in tears

He's actually..

K-Kara is actually…

"He's.. gone…" I cry under my breath
