1 Prologue

"Honey, listen to me. Tonight, you have to go here. Do you understand?"

The woman handed her made-up map, showing a secret path to a secluded place. Everything was in a hurry, so the plan wasn't that perfect either. The woman was also afraid of her dear one could not even find her way to the private home that she had provided in the past. She was the one who drew the map because it was confidential, so that she couldn't ask anybody else.

"But mother, you're coming with me, aren't you?"

The woman flinched after listening to the question. She later stood under her knees to match her height with the girl in front of her, tears brimming. She patted the girl's head so tenderly and lovingly.

"Everything is going to be alright."

She put on her brightest and most beautiful smile, but the girl wasn't convinced. The girl knew it was going to be the last moment where her mother twinkle.

The girl clenched her hands and circled them tightly to her mother's body. She hugged her closed firmly as a sign of goodbye. Parting for good. Parting forever.

"And don't forget..."

"... to stay away from the imperial family and nobles."

The sun shone through the window, bringing warm light to the room and making its way right to the girl's eyes. The window was opened, allowing a nice breeze to fill the chamber.

"Sister Emeline, what are you mumbling about? Did you have a nightmare?"

The young lad stood beside the bed, looking right to her sister, who was still laying on her bed. He showed his displeased expression, so Emeline got up right away to calm her brother down.

"A-Ah, so it's already morning. Ahahaha."

"You better take a bath now. The store will be opened in thirty minutes."

"I-I see. Then, I'm going."

Emeline stopped before going out. She came closer to the young lad and looked straight into his eyes.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

She shrugged off and took a deep breath. She then answered, "Well, you're too stiff and boring. You weren't like that in the past, so w—"

He covered Emeline's mouth with his hand because she loved to tease him, which annoyed him.

"Please just go and shut up."

"HEY, I'M YOUR SISTER. DON'T BE RUDE TO ME."

"We're only one year apart."

"But still..."

He dropped a heavy sigh like he wanted to crush the floor. He knew that this morning's argument was tiring and meaningless to begin with. Emeline turned her body and was going to leave her room.

"I know your dream earlier, and I wish that you will keep the message in your mind."

After listening to her brother's utterances, her expression changed abruptly into a dark countenance. Then, she left without saying anything.

[ Year X539 ]

[ Sireniel Kingdom Palace ]

[ The Crown Prince Study Room ]

"Your Highness, it's been two years since we invaded the Sireniel Kingdom. We believe that the missing princess has passed away, either inside the burnt palace where her mother, the fourth concubine, died or during her escape.

The prince knocked his fingertips on the table, playing such a consistent rhythm.

"Marquess, there is no proof. Her body hasn't been found yet. She must be alive, somehow somewhere."

The Marquess Klemenis gulped, didn't dare to say anything back to only second to the Emperor of Frarien Empire. But that was the truth. They lacked pieces information about the missing princess, which is the fourth princess of Sireniel Kingdom. She is the only child between the fourth concubine and the late king, and she used to have a nickname, The Outcast Princess. That was the reason why the search was pretty hard. No more painting could show the princess's feature unless her long silver platinum hair and jewel amethyst eyes, the descendants' identical color in Sireniel Kingdom Family.

"Your Highness..." This time, Marquess Monnier put up his courage. He talked to the crown prince, "There is once a rumor going on inside the palace, especially around the fourth concubine palace."

The crown prince was to shrug it off because he wanted an immediate answer and a result from the search, but he became interested after noticing the word 'rumor' from the marquess.

"Oh? What is that?"

"The maids were saying before we sent them to the capital city, there was a fairy inside the palace at night."

"Fairy?"

"Some said she was a fairy, but some also said that she was an angel."

The crown prince's curiosity developed more and more whenever the Marquess of Monnier telling such a fairy tale to him.

"Why did they call her a fairy or an angel?"

"Because they accept money and medicines from the angel or fairy. She also offered to heal them when they became ill. But until now, they didn't even remember her. They believe that they were put under a spell so they wouldn't remember anything after the morning came. But one maid said that she remembered the fairy because she had different eye colors. One is like a ruby, and one is like a topaz. She also had a human-like appearance."

After finished talking about the fairy tale, the crown prince stopped tapping his fingertips on the table. He laughed a little. He felt ridiculous because he somehow believed in the story that Marquess Monnier just told him.

"Considered to Marquess Monnier's story, the priority is still the fourth princess of Sireniel Kingdom. And, find out this so-called 'fairy' and bring her to me. She must have a high-level divine power if she could heal someone."

"Yes, Your Highness."
