4 Half-Moon Mage

Selling items on the Auction House had a tax rate of 5%, that means that if one sold an item for 100 copers, they would receive 95.

The amount of money charged from it made players curse out loud, and because of that, it was more expensive to buy items there that in the streets, on the other hand, you could put the items in the Auction House and go do other things while the system notified you.

The Auction House had items submitted by players from all towns and cities in the Star-Moon Kingdom.

In front of the Auction House was a youth with black hair at the height of his shoulders with a slight amused smile, Leroy was really enjoying the game so far and it would get even more interesting, it was something unique, without the constant fear of death that he had to experience in the past, even if the Spiritual Energy in the real world was basically non-existing, the Internal Energy made humans not too weak as compared to others in mortal realms.

He couldn't help but feel that humanity here had a great kind of life despite their lack of powers.

He was already level 3 now, he went to check if there was any interesting equipment or item in the Auction House.

He stepped inside the building and saw some players enter and exit.

He checked the items submitted to the Auction House and saw several kinds of herbs, he saw some Falling Moon Fruits that he brought at 10 coppers without hesitation. Pieces of equipment were rarely seen, bronze rank equipment would disappear as soon as it appeared.

In the end, he choose to put 100 Basic Health Potions and 50 Basic Mana Potions, set the price at 23 coppers each and left the building.

Although 23 coppers per potion was in the high spectrum, with the number of first-rate guilds in the town and the low supply, they would still grit their teeth and buy them.

He brought some herbs that caught his interest.

With the rest of the money, he choose to buy a skill

Observation Eyes (Active)

Allows user to see the information of NPC's and monsters.

If the target is too high lvl, no information will be seen.

It costed him 1 silver and 25 coppers in total.

He chooses to return to the alchemy room to test an idea he had in mind now...

Inside the room

Wearing Vielo's Gloves, Leroy started peeling the Falling Moon Fruits and then cut it in two pieces, casually eating the flesh of the fruit.

Separating the skin and the core seed the size of a thumb. He put the fruit skin in boiling water and then added Despair Bud, Black Veined Leaf, and Evergreen Plant's root.

After trying this new recipe with his own technique the color of the liquid that fell into the bottle changed from drops of dark grey to pitch black, after a few seconds.

Leroy stared at the unexpected chain of messages.

In God's Domain, players could create their own potions and equipment. However, this was extremely difficult to accomplish for players, they would need to be familiar with the profession and materials used.

"Call it Sensations Casting Potion" he confirmed the name and designed an imprint of a black ankh with a pair of wings around the ring.

This Imprint would be equivalent to the player's name, it would be how the items the player crafted would be recognized when players see the symbol they would recognize which player made it.

And so the potion's information changed.

[Sensations Casting Potion]

A potion crafted by Alchemy Genius Sensations.

A window appeared in front of Leroy's Lifestyle Panel called Crafting Recipe Creation, and it allowed a player to create their own recipes.

Leroy wasn't really surprised, in this aspect, it was not much different from other games played by the previous host.

He continued to craft, now that he was an Intermediate-Apprentice, the effect of his potions would be slightly stronger.

With his technique and Vielo's gloves, he had a 90% success rate at crafting the Sensations Casting Potion.

He ended up crafting 25 of them before running out of materials

Finally, he got tired of being here and put 5 of them at sale in the Auction House at 4 silver coins each.

Although it was expensive for a single potion, Guilds were doing all they could in order to recruit talented experts in the early stages of the game, the best way to do so was clearing Dungeons and having their names in the System Announcements, increasing their Guild's prestige and attracting experts, to accomplish it before others, Guilds wouldn't spare coins on quality items.

He also brought inventory bags, a player started with a 100 slot inventory by default, and could buy up to 7 bags to increase the capacity.

He brought the 7 bags at 25 coppers each, increasing his inventory to 220 slots.

He was eager to go hunting monsters already and test the Half-Moon Set, but before leaving, he still had something to take care of.

Dark Letter (Quest Item)

A letter left behind by Half-Moon mage, it contains a seal.

Bring the letter to Old Sedma at Falling Moon Town, maybe she could know how to open it.

He spent nearly 30 minutes in order to find Sedma, she was an old woman that lived near the town walls in a little home.

Lightly knocking the wooden door for the second time, Leroy had an impatient look on his face.

The door opened when a tall old woman with black hair and a straight posture appeared in front of Leroy, 'This... was not what I expected when it said Old Sedma at a...' He thought. He was expecting a white-haired little lady to receive him.

"Hello, may I ask if you are lady Sedma?" He asked, doubting that his information was right.

"That would be me, lad" Sedma answered with an energetic voice that surprised Leroy once again.

"I have come to find you because of a letter... a dark letter" Leroy word's made Sedma's eyes grew bigger for a moment before turning to normal.

"I see, I have been waiting for you..." Sedma had an unnatural expression on her face "What are you standing there for, come in".

With slow steps, Leroy followed Sedma into the house, they arrived at her bedroom and walked down some stairs... the whole thing made Leroy have an amused smile on his face.

Arriving at the basement he could see paintings of different people, while the centermost paint caught his attention, bigger and boarded with hand made gold patterns on it, a young man that could be no older than twenty, black hair and eyes with a pale face, holding a staff sitting on a throne.

"Ooh, do you know who he is?" Sedma asked him

"He should be... the Half-Moon Mage?"Leroy said the young man was wearing the Half-Moon Set that he had in his inventory

"Hehe so you really were the one approved by Flay..." he laughed with strange emotions... "It has been so long... too long I would say..."

Leroy didn't know who Flay was but he couldn't help but think of the raven he met in the forest, he didn't come in contact with anyone else so far.

"Ancestor Vlaric... that was the name of the world's most talented mage of his generation, the one that others would refer to as Half-Moon mage" she couldn't help but sigh... "Now his name is long forgotten because of them, because of those jealous Gods!!" Leroy could only stay silent as she raged.

"He was extremely talented, practically one with mana and specialized in Dark Elemental Magic... his advancement was so fast that he outshined any talent ever recorded at such a young age... that was how he got his name as Half-Moon Mage... the moment he developed his powers he would eclipse anyone else.. but..." taking a moment to regain her calm, Sedma continued "But the Gods were afraid, someone who grew so fast could become a threat to their hegemony, Gods and Demons were jealous of him and didn't want anything more but to examine every bit of his body."

Leroy was shocked, Gods? Jealous of a human's talent?

Sedma looked at Leroy's socked eyes with satisfaction and continued " and so... together, they planned a trap against him, they trapped him inside of an array and attacked him for two days and two nights, one by one without stop, demanding him the treasures that he used... he battled frenziedly without saying a word, many gods and demons fell until the array that trapped him run out... fatally injured, he casted his last resort spell, killing several gods and demons that were waiting outside the barrier and turning the surrounding lands in a place that no even gods would dare venture into even thousands of years after." Sedma started walking close to the painting.

"This place had nothing more than a dozen people living in it at that time, it was the birthplace of Ancestor Vlaric, after many years, neither God or Demon managed to get anything from the place of catastrophe. With his last dying breaths, Ancestor Vlaric give a command to his most trusted pet, Flay and teleported to some other place, never to be heard of again... that is what the teachings of my family said, to keep him in memory to the ends of time, even though we, his descendants have tried to find his will, no one was chosen by Flay.. but..." casting her gaze to Sedma, a solemn expression on her face.

"But Flay recognized you and tested you somehow... it approved you... the letter, it should have a seal on it?"

Leroy handed over the Dark Letter to Sedma, he knew that NPC's wouldn't steal items, at least that was the game information said.

Sedma bit her finger and her blood dropped into the seal of the letter, the seal turned to grains of dust while the letter gave a strange glow.

Without reading its contents, Sedma returned him the letter.

"The letter had a bloodline seal on it, you are the one recognized by Flay, so you should be the only one to read it" Sedma said with relief, this is something that Half-Moon descendant had been carrying for a long time now, though no one of them would be recognized by the undead raven.

Holding the letter in his hand, Leroy couldn't help but ask "How did you know that the raven recognized someone to read his will?"

With an amused expression, Sedma said, "The ancestor left a candle that would never burn out unless Flay recognized someone and self-extinguished his soul."

"What do you mean? The raven was clearly killed by me and dropped this letter" Leroy somewhat felt upset at her explanation

"Foolish lad, Flay was a Tier 6 Undead Raven, if he wanted to kill you he only needed to will it"

"What is a Tier 6 thing?"

"Besides Levels, creature's powers are also divided in Tiers, starting from Tier 1 to 6, Tier 6 is the strongest state a being is known to be achieved, it is at this stage when one would be qualified to the title of God."

Was she telling him that the raven was actually a God? but... suddenly understanding it, Leroy gasped... the raven probably choose him because of his previous life aura that he carried into this one... that was the only explanation as to why would such an unimaginable powerful creature would choose to pass down his master's will and destroy its soul.

"So... a god left this letter"

"Hahaha, as if!. Ancestor Vlaric was a Tier 5 being, if he were to achieve Tier 6, which he would surely have, no amount of Gods would be capable of touching him!" Sedma said with a self-mocking laugh.

Leroy didn't know what Tiers were but he knew that it should be a form of ranking the levels of powers.

He read the letter...
