2 The Beauty in Black

The day came soon after he collapsed onto the bed, though the servant came in with food for him. He dared not to wake him up knowing what the consequences would be.

He quietly left the room leaving his breakfast on the table, while Daniel slept like a child cuddling in the pillows until it was mid-day.

Even though the food had gotten cold he ate everything and loosened up the bandages to see what his wound was like.

The wound was indeed deep that it need a few stitches, but he wasn't sure whether he could saw up that part of the hand like that.

He went into the bathroom and buried himself in the bathtub full of mildly hot water, and dived into his memories to put together everything that happened last night.

Last night not being the first time he had tried to sacrifice himself reminded him of all the other pain he went through in the past trying to be a sacrifice to the devil. Even though sometimes he wanted to admit to the fact that there is no devil, he always had to go through a messed-up situation that made him want to end his life.

So his try to get into the hands of the devil never ended.

He quickly got dressed to go to the university as he had his lectures in the afternoon. He got into his car and drove straightly to the university. He knew that literally, everyone around him hated him, they all wanted nothing but the money he possessed.

All the girls that came for him didn't come for him because they loved him, it was always because of the money.

He parked his car and walked into the building not minding what others were calling him. As expected the trouble makers were waiting for him.

"Oh, our best friend is here!" they all confronted him not allowing him to take another step further.

"The Professors are here," he said not wanting to get into any trouble.

"So what, huh? Do you think that we are scared of them? If you want to get out of here without any trouble, I think you know what you should do," one of them said putting his hand to the front.

Daniel took his wallet out like he always did, because of what happened the previous night he forgot to withdraw money from the bank, though he wanted to walk away after handing away a card of his, he couldn't because if he was to do that an amount that he couldn't even imagine would be gone from it.

"I am sorry, he said looking down. I forgot to bring money today."

"Oh, really pretty boy? Guys take him away," he said looking at the others who were beside him.

They grabbed Daniel and dragged him away to a place in the university that was abandoned and no one would come.

"Please don't do this guys, I really don't have any money on me today," Daniel said hoping to escape the trouble.

"Oh, we know that, we are just annoyed with what you did to us. Do you know that I was expecting to go on a huge shopping spree with my boys today, and you completely ruined it!"

Daniel wanted to raise his voice at him, but he just couldn't, he just wanted to end his life in silence

"Look at me you prick!" He said grabbing his face by the chin.

Daniel's heart felt like he was about to burst out from the anger that was developing in him. The anger that he was burning with was more than enough to murder everyone who was standing right in front of him.

But he waited, knowing that he will be getting his chance soon enough.

The same boy who was holding him by the chin punched him in the chest making Daniel fall onto the floor and hit his head

He got on his feet ready to get into a real fight with them, but right then a girl dressed totally in black appeared and kept looking at them.

"Oi, get lost!" One of the boys shouted to drive her away. Instead, she just kept walking toward them.

"Didn't I just ask you to walk away, do you want to get beaten to a pulp like that prick over there!" one of the walked to her.

"Couper! He shouted. She is a beauty. Shall I bring her over to you?

Bring her here, let's have some fun, he said looking at the girl who was willingly coming towards them."

It was a girl who was completely dressed in black clothes, her hair was black but her eyes were blue. From the first glance, Daniel took he knew that it was the real colour of her eyes.

In his eyes, she was a true beauty, but regardless of the admiring, he did he also knew that she and he were both in trouble.

He had to do something to save her from the men who were ready to ruin her any minute, Daniel punched the guy who was right in front of him across the face making him fall to the ground.

"Oh there you are pretty boy, you are finally revealing who you really are? Guys get rid of him, teach him how it is like not to behave according to the way we want him to."

The other 4 of them who were watching everything that was happening, came to Daniel and started beating him up, but Daniel was not as weak as everyone thought he was. In secret, he had trained how to take care of people like that.

While he was fighting them, he witnessed the best sight in his life, the girl who came to them punched the guy who was dragging her to the others right across making him fall to the ground.

She then punched the guy who was ordering right across the face, making him fall to the ground unconscious.

Daniel finished off the others and wiped away the blood that was coming out of his nose

"You are one interesting fellow," the girl said turning away while wiping her hand with a tissue.
