Ch. 2 Image Training and Level Ups

As Tom's surprise grew, so did Bardock's Disappointment, his face now glaring at the number that the scouter reported. "Just a measly 50, pathetic, how could my son be so weak" scoffed Bardock as he noticed that Raditz's(Tom's) eyes were open and that he was staring at him. "Hmm, it's unusual for the younglings to gain consciousness in the Nutrition Pods this soon after they're born, in that case maybe you won't be as big of a disappointment as I thought" he said while smirking then went away. After building up his thoughts for a bit Tom finally collected himself. "This is crazy, to think I reincarnated into one of the evil Saiyans, and Goku's Brother of all of them! If that's the case I probably arrived five to six years before Goku was even born. Hmm, five or six years until this planet's eventual destruction, and I'm the only one who has the faintest idea." If he was gonna prevent the destruction of Vegeta he would need to become much stronger, but five or six years wasn't a lot of time, that is if you don't have the overpowered abilities of a system. With that in mind he quickly checked for status in the System. Name: Raditz Level: 1 (0/20) Race: Saiyan Power Level(PL): 50 S-cells: 100 [Skills: Battle Prowess (Lv. 01), Ki Manipulation (Lv.01), Enhanced Senses (Lv. 01), Enhanced Metabolism (Lv.01),Saiyan Tail (Lv.01), Oozaru Form(Lv.01), Zenkai Boost (Lv. 01).] The first ability that piqued Tom's interest was Ki Manipulation, obviously as a Human he never had experience manipulating Ki since he wasn't some secret martial master, but that didn't stop him from dreaming that he was, or even from trying to perform some of the more iconic beam attacks like the Kamehameha and Galick Gun. At first he tried to sense for Ki through visualization of some life force that he couldn't sense with his five senses but it was hard, at first. After trying to visualize it for a while the Ki Manipulation Skill passively activated which resulted in Tom sensing Ki. "So this is Ki huh, it feels different from what I imagined by far but feeling it now, it almost feels natural, well duh I suppose that Saiyans are natural Ki Manipulators" Tom thought to himself. [The [Ki Manipulation] Skill has leveled up to Level 2] Tom, impressed by the level up of one of his Skills, spent the next few hours playing around with his Ki Manipulation as well as Playing with his tail to increase his muscle control since he wasn't too familiar with controlling a tail, although it soon came naturally too. [The [Saiyan Tail] Skill has reached Level 5] [The [Ki Manipulation] Skill has reached Level 5] [The [Ki Manipulation:Level 5] Skill has evolved into [Ki Control:Level 1]!] Ding! [Due to your progress with Ki you have leveled up!] [Your Power Level has Increased!] [You have gained 20 S-cells!] [You have completed a hidden Quest!] [See status to Claim Rewards!] After Leveling Up Tom felt a bit stronger and more energized than he did before. Seeing the System Notifications he checked his status. Name: Raditz(Tom) Level: 2 (5/30) Race: Saiyan PL: 100 S-cells: 120 [Skills: Battle Prowess (Lv. 01), Ki Control (Lv.01), Enhanced Senses (Lv. 01), Enhanced Metabolism (Lv.01), Saiyan Tail (Lv.05), Oozaru Form (Lv.01), Zenkai Boost (Lv. 01).] After checking the stat increases, Tom saw a little box in the top right corner of the status window with a yellow exclamation point. After clicking on it a new window popped up ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [You have Completed a Hidden Quest!] [Quest: Gain Ki Control Skill] [You have diligently meditated with Ki Manipulation and Evolved it to a higher level!] [You have Completed the Quest exceptionally early adding to your Quest Evaluation!] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Rewards] [You have Gained 50 S-cells] [You have gained 25 EXP] [You have unlocked the Inventory] [You have gained [D-Grade Gravity Ring] [You have gained the Title [Ki Control Genius] [Title [Ki Control Genius] Gives the user greater control of Ki, as well as increasing the user's Ki reserves. [Due to the [Ki Control Genius] Title] you have gained the [Power Up:Level 1], [Ki Sense:Level 1], and [Ki Armor:Level 1] Skills!] The rewards from the quest were pretty great, aside from getting from the system staple, the Inventory, he gained enough EXP to level up again, even gaining a title. Seeing that his S-cell count was now almost 200 he started to contemplate on how S-cells were probably the focus of the System based on the name. He found the concept of S-cells interesting, the way he understood them S-cells were produced by Saiyans based on certain environmental factors that said Saiyan would go through, stockpiling in the upper back, and the more they produced the more potential they would have. Ironically, one of the biggest factors in increasing S-cell count for a Saiyan is to have a gentle nature, which explains why the Hybrid-Saiyans could so easily become Super Saiyans, while the cruel Warrior Saiyans barely showed power growth outside of small Zenkais. When he checked the item he got from the quest, he found out that when he equipped the ring it increased the level of gravity on him by two times. With that boost he was ready for the next step in his mind, to begin image training. Just like how Frieza spent all his time in Hell image training, greatly increasing his power when he was revived. At first it was difficult for him to Imagine his baby body fighting someone like Frieza but eventually he would have to. He loved the story of Dragonball but wasn't gonna let an entire species be eradicated just to let the story play out like the original did. Well his existence in Raditz's body would already cause a change to the timeline he figured, but still he planned on preventing the Saiyan Extinction of Universe Seven. After two weeks in a state in between conscious and unconscious, stimulating his mind with his fighting spirit, he began to not just see himself fighting different opponents but actually feel the attacks, within another two-weeks he finally unlocked it as a skill. [Due to your mental efforts in meditation you gained [Meditation:Level 1] and [Mental Stimulation Training:Level1] Skills!] Now that Tom had the ability to effectively train in his mind, he trained this way for one year, while also working on his Ki Control, Ki Sense, and some of his other skills, steadily increasing his Ki and his Level, he was now Level 14. One day while mentally fighting a group of Saibamen, he sensed that Bardock had come for him, this time accompanied by a young Saiyan woman who was most likely Gine.
