7 Ch7: First Visit

Ryan made a lasagna for dinner that night, with some garlic knots to go with it, Granny Luna couldn't stop the praises which actually made him blush. After dinner he went up to his room to finish his homework, he also ordered the other equipment that he would need for the engine and transmission of the car.

As he was doing that he ended up getting a message from Brooke, apparently she got sick from something, she would be out of school tomorrow and miss the basketball game. He was fine with it though since he wasn't going to the game anyway, he would be with Lucas and the rest at the river court running some pick up games.

For the rest of the night he actually made a little money, it was just over three thousand but it was enough for him, hell it was the most he has ever made. He got it by fixing some coding for people, though there were some he had to reject seeing as it was some spyware or it was something to steal money from others.

Ryan woke the next morning with a yawn, he still had two days before he could get his license and three before he would work on the Camaro Z28. After a quick shower he went to make his breakfast plus his lunch, he left a plate covered for his granny Luna before he took off, "Hey Ryan, do you want a ride?" He looked over to see Nathan calling out to him.

"No that's fine, I enjoy the ride." Ryan answered while shaking his head, he didn't want to be stuck at the school waiting for Nathan to come pick him up, plus the dude had to stay after because of basketball.

"Alright, well how about some burgers Saturday? We could all chill by the pool." Nathan said with a smile while looking longingly at the pool in the back.

"Who is we?" Ryan asked knowing that he wasn't just talking about Ryan and him.

"Peyton, Tim, Brooke, and maybe some more girls and guys from the team, it will be to celebrate our win." He said with a cocky smile.

"Let me ask my grandmother first, and even then it better be just some of you, I don't want a pool or house party, otherwise you can forget it." Ryan said while shaking his head as he got on his bike before taking off.

He didn't really want a lot of people over, he already promised to got to a party with Brooke Saturday, she said no matter what that she wasn't missing it because it was a college party. Laughing internally he went to school hoping that Nathan wouldn't just assume he could invite the whole team over, he didn't even know the guys.

The day seemed to go by slow as he made it to lunch, he noticed that without Brooke there it seemed to go by slower, he ended up talking more with Lucas and Skills since she wasn't there. Haley was sitting with some of her girl friends at another table, all the guys were at the table talking about basketball and homework.

Jimmy and Mouth talked about making a podcast or website for their River court games, apparently they both wanted to be sports announcers when they grew up. By the way that they talked about it they he could see it happening, they were able to spout facts without even looking them up, the two knew a lot about basketball.

Seeing how they looked though he could tell why they would prefer to tell about it rather then playing, they didn't exactly have the height or body for it, so they couldn't really play.

He noticed that he actually grew since that day his body changed, he was now standing at 6'2 rather then 5'11, he was the same height as Nathan and Lucas. That was another thing he learned, his granny Luna talked about it at dinner last night, it seems that the two boys are brothers but Lucas had a bad relationship with his father.

"So are you going to be there tonight?" Skills asked as Lucas paused to eat some of his food.

"Yeah, I don't have anything else to do tonight, what time should I be there?" He asked while biting into the teriyaki chicken he had made, thankfully he bento lunch box so it would stay warm all day.

"We will be there around six and play maybe until nine or ten, we just don't want to go to the basketball game tonight. Plus the town will be deserted since everyone goes to the games." Mouth said adding in.

Ryan nodded and they talked some more for the rest of lunch before they went back to class, he had been texting Brooke too since she was bored at home. She complained a lot about not being able to cheer at the game tonight, and said he was a sin for him to tell her it was just one missed game, she really loved cheering on the side.

For the rest of the day he messaged her before leaving school, he didn't let her know but he got her address from Peyton, he was sending her some food. Since her parents weren't home she planned to order out, but he was going to surprise her before she made the call, no need for her to waste money on that.

It only took him twenty minutes to get there from the school, his body was a big help, with the upgrade something that would have taken him an hour only took twenty minutes. She stayed on the edge of town in the other rich neighborhood, it was almost and hour and a half ride on a bike from his house, but a car would only take like ten minutes.

Walking up to the house with the red door he was use to how big houses got now, his grandmothers house was about the same size as the one that he was at now, plus Sandy had a house this big. Knocking on the door and ringing the doorbell he waited to hear if anyone was coming or not, depending on where her room was he it might take a minute to get to the door.

"Just a minute!" He heard her yell out as she was getting closer to the door, when she finally did open it she was wearing some sweats without any make-up, "Ryan! What are you doing here? How did you even know where I lived?" She asked as she looked around him.

He smiled down at her, "Well Peyton helped with where you lived while me being here is cause I wanted to bring you some food, figured you could save your money before you ordered out."

She was stunned before realizing what she was wearing, she looked down at herself before looking back at him wide eyed, with a scream she took off though stopped as she was about to run up the stairs, "You can come in, just let me get changed real quick!" she said from around the corner before he heard her stomp off.

Laughing to himself he walked off to the kitchen, he had to go through the fancy dining room before he walked into the kitchen, the place looked like it was made for fancy parties.

Entering in the kitchen he walked over and got a plate for her food, he had just enough time to make a steak before he took off that morning, which was for her. Since the bento kept it at a well heated temperature thanks to the potato soup on the bottom, along with that was some white rice.

"Thank you for the meal, you didn't need to do this though. I was perfectly fine ordering out, the little stomach bug I had last night and this morning is gone." She said with a smile as she sat in the stool where he put the food down at.

"It was no trouble. I made it this morning along with my lunch, I am just glad this bento box is good enough to keep it warm for almost twelve hours." He said while waving her off.

She nodded, "Well thank you anyway, it was sweet of you to do this for me." She added as she dug into her food with him just watching her, it was still only around four thirty so he wasn't going to meet the guys yet for basketball, plus he needed to stop to buy some Gatorade or something.

"So what are you going to do for the rest of your day? You can still go to the game even if you aren't allowed to cheer there." He said while wiping her mouth with the napkin when the soup started to dribble down her chin.

She looked thoughtful at that before shaking her head, "Nah, I would rather go to the mall and get something to wear to the party for Saturday. Oh, I heard from Nathan you might be having a little cook-out for your welcome to Tree Hill?" she asked looking up at him.

He shook his head, "I told him I would ask my Grandmother if I could or not. She might want to do something that day since she knows I am going out that night, so I told him to wait on asking."

"Oh, well hopefully you do, that would be two parties in one day." She said grinning.

"Nope, no party. If I end up doing this then it will be no more then five to seven people, I will not hold some loud pool party, I will never throw a party at my house." He said shaking his head at her excited expression for the thought of him having a party.

She pouted but nodded, "Fine. I will make sure he knows that too, it can be Me obviously, Peyton, Nathan, Tim, Bevin, and Jessica. That is the perfect amount and it will be just a small little hang, since it is getting warmer it is the perfect time to kick off with a pool party."

He looked her in the eye, she was pouting and he could see how hopeful she was looking, sighing he knew that he couldn't say no to that look, "Fine, but only if it you six no more, the moment someone else shows I will close it down." He said while taking out his phone.

She squealed happily before going back to her food, sighing he called his Grandmother, the phone only rang twice before she answered, "Hey sweetie, what is wrong? Do you need anything? Are you doing okay?"

He laughed a little hearing the real worry in her voice, "I am doing good Granny Luna, I just called to ask something. Some friends want to have a small get together at our house for a pool party, it will only be six plus me, is that alright?"

It didn't take a moment before she answered, "Yes that will be fine, just be sure that is no more, or I will call the police to shut it down. When were you thinking?"

"Saturday, sometime after I come back from getting my driver's license." He said into the phone.

"That sounds fine. I have a bridge game at Mary's that day anyway so you can have the house, are you still going out that night?" She asked.

He nodded then remembered that she couldn't see him, "Thanks Granny Luna, and yes I am still going out after."

After saying goodbye he looked at the smiling Brooke who was happy, he rolled his eyes knowing that she heard the entire conversation, that is also why she started to text people. He only shook his head at that, at least she was going to make sure that not to many people showed up.

For the next thirty minutes he hung out with her, she showed him the entire house even taking him into her parents room, where they looked through everything. They did run out when she found he mom's 'little friend' under the bed, it was something that they weren't really looking for but just ran into, for some reason it was on her dad's side though.

That was something they didn't want to even think about, instead they just took off back into her room where she tried to talk him into letting her put make-up on his face. That actually ended up in them struggling and him having to pin her down, she wiggled around for a while before finally giving up in a huff while glaring at him.

"You are mean you know that?! You have amazing looks and excellent bone structure, you should see what you would look like in make-up." She said with a smile while looking down at him.

Frowning he shook his head at her, "Nope not happening, I don't need you taking pictures and everyone end up seeing them when you are mad at me."

She pouted while blinking her eyes trying to look innocent but he could see right passed that, "Would I do something like that to you?" she said with an adorable innocent expression.

Laughing a little he leaned down and kissed the tip of her nose, "Of course I do, we have only known each other a day. And I don't trust that easily." he said while getting up and helping her to her feet, "I need to head out, I am meeting some people at the river court to play basketball."

She pouted but nodded, "I am going to head to the mall anyway, do you want to be dropped off?"

He looked at her a moment before nodding, "Sure but I need to stop by the store to get something to drink first."

She nodded before grabbing her keys and leading him out, it didn't escape his notice that in all the time that he was there her parents didn't show up. He father was the worker but it seemed her mother was someone who went around spending money, she wasn't really involved in Brooke's life at all, which was sad.

His mother was kind of the same but it was drinking and it was her sticking with boyfriends rather then taking care of him, that still made him sad as he thought about her. "Alright, put you bike in the back and let's head out!" she said while climbing into the front.

Rolling his eyes he climbed inside after stuffing his bike into the back, Brooke was singing along to the song as he climbed into next to her, "I know my voice isn't the best but hush it! I love this song."

"Don't worry I--" He was going to comment on how his voice wasn't any better but at that moment his condition acted up, with him gaining the vocal cords of an Angel, it made him sigh, "It is beautiful, I wasn't going to make fun of you." He said with a light smile to her getting one in return.
