Chapter 17: Teams and Future Horrors

(An: Happy New Year! I decided to make all the upcoming chapters 1000 to 1200 chapter until Jeff Bezos comes out of his cheeseball filled room and give me my computer.)

(3rd Person Pov:)

Weiss: (blushing heavily) K-K-K-Kirito, why now out of all days!

Kirito: (panicking) I didn't engage the kiss!

Blake: (staring at Kirito)

Kirito: Please say something, that silence is terrifying!

Ruby: (hands covering eyes) Kirito, that's filth!

Kirito: As I said, I didn't start this!

Yang: (grinning) Aww, Kirito! You've conquered one, now whos next?

Kirito: Why do you make it sound like I'm going to take more!

Yang: So your not?

Kirito: No!

Yang: Aww, what about us?

Kirito: (thinking) Crap, I can't really deny that I like the girls, but I can't say it out loud either. Think. Think!

Kirito: Well-

Before he could finish, Kirito stumbled forward a little bit, causing everyone to panic.

Alice: You okay?

Kirito: Y-yeah, I'm fine. Looks like the side effects are still happening.

Ruby: We should start heading back.

Kirito: I agree, though I don't think I can walk that far...

Alice: In that case, I'll carry you.

RWBY: EHH?!

Kirito: (ignoring them) Are you sure?

Alice: It's fine, I can do that much at least.

Kirito: If you say so...

Alice squat down after removing her armor, before Kirito got on her back, dispelling his armor away as well.

Alice: You aren't that heavy.

Kirito: (reminiscing) When I carried you back then, you were pretty heavy though.

Alice: (angry) I will use the knife, don't make me do it!

Kirito: (sweating) S-sorry. Nothing but that...

Alice: (pouting) You're still getting punished though. It won't be just me either.

Kirito: (pale) W-what are you talking about?

Alice: (grinning) You forget where we said "If you get hurt, you're going to get punished?"

Kirito: (thinking) Oi, oi, that's impossible. That thing was twice the level I was.

Kirito: B-but I...

Alice: Kirito~ We're almost here~!

Kirito: (sweating) O-okay Alice, y-you can let me down now.

Alice: (gripping tighter) You don't have to be shy now~

Kirito: I-I can walk! Please, let go of me!

Alice: Nope~

Kirito: (turning around) Guys, please help me!

Jaune and Pyrrha were busy flirting, while Nora was having a very interesting daydream, with Ren trying to snap her out of it.

Ruby was looking away whistling, while Yang was grinning towards Kirito. Weiss was muttering something under her breath very fast, while Blake... had a sign with "retribution" on it? Where did she get it from?

(An: Seriously, where does she pull out flags and stuff from?)

Kirito: (thinking) Ah. Guess I'll just die.

(linebreak)

After arriving back at the Auditorium, where everyone else was, Ozpin walked up the stage, cleared his throat, and began speaking again.

Ozpin: Is everyone here? Now then, before we discuss who the teams are, and how they work, I would like to point out that each and every one of you grabbed a piece, and came back alive. So give yourselves applause for making it this far.

After a short round of clapping, along with a few hoots and hollers, Ozpin cleared his throat once more, before he spoke into the mic again.

Ozpin: Now then, while I did say that whoever you looked at would be your partner, that would only be two people out of the four you need to be in a team. This is where your chess piece comes in. Like in chess, there are two of the same pieces in both colors. So that means that the color and piece you got, will go along with the other two who have the same piece with the same color.

Everyone began to collectively talk at once, trying to find out who had what pieces.

Jaune: (panicking) I don't remember what piece I got!

Kirito: You'll be fine, after all, you have Pyrrha. She's strong.

Ozpin: Now that I have that aside, I shall now be announcing your names, and on the monitor, your faces shall show up. When you hear your name, please come up to the stage. I will also announce who your team leader is.

As soon as Ozpin finished, the giant screen behind him flickered to life. A blue background appeared, along with four blank white squares.

Ozpin: The first team, is Jui Ce. Alcho Hal. Dietso Da. Energei Drink. (the screen of the auditorium shows each of their profiles as the boys are lined up for the applauding audience to see as Ozpin continues) The four of you received the black rook pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team JADE, led by... Jui Ce!

The audience gives the first wave of ovation, while the four students walk down the stage to take their places in the audience.

Ozpin: The next team is...

Ozpin then proceeded to list off name after name, before he finally got down to the final ones.

Ozpin: Russel Thrush. Cardick Winchester. Dove Bronzewing. Sky Lark. (the screen of the auditorium shows each of their profiles as the boys are lined up for the applauding audience to see as Ozpin continues) The four of you retrieved the black bishop pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team CRDL, led by... Cardick Winchester!

The audience gives one more wave of ovation, while four students walk up to the stage to take their places in front of the headmaster as their faces fill the screen.

Ozpin: Jaune Arc. Lie Ren. Pyrrha Nikos. Nora Valkyrie. The four of you retrieved the white rook pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team JNPR.

Amid the clapping, Nora laughs and gives Ren a hug.

Ozpin: Led by... Jaune Arc!

Jaune: Huh? L-Led by...?

Ozpin: Congratulations, young man.

A grinning Pyrrha offers a friendly shoulder bump to Jaune, but her "fine leader" is knocked over and falls to his butt in front of the laughing audience.

Ozpin: And finally: Blake Belladonna. Ruby Rose. Weiss Schnee. Yang Xiao Long. (motions over the four as they stand before him) The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team RWBY. Led by... Ruby Rose!

Weiss looks to her right surprised, where Ruby is obviously in shock as Yang goes over to hug her sister.

Yang: I'm so proud of you!

Blake: Wait, what about Kirito and Alice?

As the clapping died down, and the team headed down the stairs, Ozpin then proceeded to continue.

Ozpin: Some of you could probably tell that there are two people missing. Kazuto Kirigaya, and Alice Kirigaya, please come up.

As Kirito and Alice headed up, a lot of murmuring could be heard.

Yang: They did grab a piece right?

Ruby: Pretty sure...

Ozpin: These two on stage are quite special since they grab a piece, the white King Piece, and they did look at each other, so they are partners. they are also strong and defiantly courageous.

The screen then switched to a picture of the two riding a dragon, followed by a video of Kirito fighting off the horde of [Grim]. Another video appeared, a small clip of Alice's Exxe-calibahhhhh! Knockoff.

Student 1: (shocked) They are that strong?

Student 2: (wondering) What's going to happen to them?

Student 3: Motahama, I just want to see some boobs, move over!

(An: Hint for the future? Who knows..?)

Ozpin: While they are indeed strong, one purpose of Beacon is to get along with teammates, and to work together, which is what they are going to do. So Kazuto, Alice, you may pick up to three teams to hang around with and to work with. Who will you choose?

Kirito: JNPR is going to be one. I can't leave my brothers-in-arms behind!

Alice: RWBY is going to be the second one. I can't separate from them.

Ozpin: And your third choice?

Kirito and Alice looked at each other before they shrugged.

Ozpin: Very well, you make pick later. After this, teams JNPR and RWBY, along with Kazuto and Alice, please come with me so we may discuss dorms.

Everyone began to clap once more, while the 10 people all looked at each other, some with grins, some with laughter, and one with disdain.

Ozpin: (amid the last round of cheers) It looks like things are shaping up to be an... interesting year.
