61 Chapter 60: The End of Everything

Barbwire, and chains had surrounded Shade academy and the battle scene. The chains and latched onto Sun and the others, expect for Ruby, Scarlet and Neo.

"Hahaha, is that really the best you got?" Scarlet asked as she laughed. "I can end you all now with a snap of a finger."

"NO!" Ruby yelled seeing the chains pulling on her friends. "Stop it Scarlet!"

Neo smirked as she kicked Ruby in the shins. The mute maiden used her powers sending Ruby flying back, she twirls her umbrella around behind her back as she had a smug look on her face.

"Ruby no!" Deity shouted as she struggled. "Scarlet! You're just like your mother. Playing dirty.."

Scarlet snickered as her body was still slowly healing. "Why thank you, my mother's blood runs through my body. Now it's time to silence you for good!"

Velvet's eyes widen as she saw Scarlet shoot magic at Deity. "STOP!" Her eyes glowed as the faunus maiden tried to break free from the chains.

"It's no use." Scarlet said as she moved her hands as the magic soon hits Velvet, she licked her lips and cackled. "Tonight I dine on rabbit stew."

Ruby got up, she stumbled as she spat up blood. "D-Dammit..." She jerked her head up as she heard Velvet yelling in pain. "No..."

Neo had noticed Ruby had gotten up, as she was about to dash towards Ruby to finish what she started. Ruby glared at Neo with her one glowing silver eye as she gritted her teeth, Neo stopped as she was startled as she jumped back.

Scarlet cocked an eyebrow up as she glanced over to Ruby. "Ara ara, you finally want to unleash your anger on me? It won't do you no good!" She flung her hand forward as barbwire rose from the ground and wrapped around Ruby's legs. "Die!"

"G-Gahhh!" Ruby cried out in pain as the barbwire that had wrapped around her legs were digging into her flesh. She fell forward, as she started to crawl her way over to Scarlet. "I'm...going to be the one...killing you..."

"Try as much as you like...you can't kill the devil!" Scarlet said as she jumped up and lands on Ruby's back with her feet. "Oops, I think I broke something."

Ruby yelled as she tried to roll from under Scarlet's feet, Sun and the others could only watch as the chains held them high. "Y-You're the worst kind of person to ever exist!" Ruby bit Scarlet's leg hard rolling away successfully.

"It's no use, we can't get free." Ilia said as she struggled. "It feels like my maiden powers are being sucked out of me."

"We have to try, we need to help Ruby." Neptune said as he glanced around not seeing Diamond anywhere. "Where?"

Diamond was dragged higher into the sky by the chains, so far up. No one could see him, but Ilia was right on one thing. The chains were specially made to drain any sort of power from them, Ruby used the sword of destruction to cut the barbwire from her legs as she slowly stood up.

"Don't worry guys...I'll get you down...I have to kill Scarlet first." Ruby said looking up. "Hang in there!"

Neo stepped forward as Scarlet blocked her. The mute looked at her with a confused look on her face, wondering why Scarlet had stopped her.

"Neo, go back to Watts. This is mine and Ruby's fight. Don't get in the way." Scarlet said as she glared at Neo with a stern look.

Neo would nod a little as she shattered into glass, Ruby noticed as she was confused. But she shook her head as she gripped the sword tightly.

"Now then." Scarlet said. "No more distractions."

"Oh....Oooh." Ruby said as she slapped her face with her hands, leaving red marks on her cheeks.

Scarlet grinned as she snickered, she dashed towards Ruby as she pulled her arm back and went to stab Ruby with her nails. Ruby saw this coming, as she ducked and swung the sword at Scarlet's side.

The sword cut deep into Scarlet's side as Ruby yanked it out. She backed up and watched Scarlet bleed out from the side. "How does it feel? Not being able to heal from a powerful attack Diamond had done on you, and getting cut by the relic?"

Scarlet glanced down as her black blood was seeping out like a waterfall. "You..." She covered her side with her hand as she glared at Ruby angrily. "I'll be sure to devour you nice and slow Ruby."

Ruby smirked. "Over my dead body!" She quickly blinded Scarlet with her silver eye power as she ran behind her. "I've got you now!"

Scarlet spun around and grabbed Ruby's face slamming her down into the ground. "Blinding me won't do no good, I can still smell and hear you." She started to drag Ruby across the ground and flung her towards some barbwire.

Ruby coughed up blood as she stops herself with the sword of destruction. "That hurt." She stood up.

Scarlet shot magic at Ruby's feet as she smirked. "Dance for me, dance till you die."

Ruby yelps as she jumped up and used her semblance to dash away. "I can't let her get the advantage...I need an opening..."

Scarlet had her vision back as she scanned the area. "Where are you little Rose? Come out so I can gut you, and use you as a scarecrow." She sniffed the air for Ruby's scent.

"That's it.." Ruby said as she stopped behind the gym. "I have to cover my scent somehow..."

Scarlet sniffed more as she glanced around. "Where are you?"

Ruby could hear Scarlet's footsteps as she looked around. "Come on...think..." She reached into her pouch on her belt as she pulled out dust. Fire, ice and lightning. "Wait...I don't need to cover my scent...if I recall...if I combine these..it would result in a explosion." She smirked as she peeks from behind the gym.

Scarlet scoffed as she stood in the center of Shade, her back was turned to Ruby as she scanned the area a bit more. "Where the hell are you?!"

"Over here!" Ruby shouted as she jumped from behind the gym as she shook the three dust vials she had.

"There you are." Scarlet said as she spun around, she went to reach for Ruby's leg but didn't even notice what Ruby had done.

Ruby had sneezed from the shaking of the dust she had did. Which caught Scarlet in the mix of the explosion of the fire, ice and lightning dust. Ruby nearly fell on her butt as she looked at the smoke, she gripped the handle of the relic tightly.

Scarlet coughed as she gagged. "W-What the hell?"

"It's time to end you here and now." Ruby said. "In the name of hope, justice and love...this is where you die Scarlet!" She rushed forward and stabbed Scarlet with the sword of destruction.

"Did she..?" Sun asked. "Did she win?"

"I think so." Neptune said.

The smoke cleared as the lightning still stayed as it shocked Scarlet, Ruby kept the sword stabbed in Scarlet's body as she glared at her. She deepened the sword, as it pierced out through Scarlet's back.

"You're done for." Ruby said as she felt Scarlet's hands grip her shoulders. "G-Gahh..."

"I'm taking you...with me to hell..." Scarlet said as she coughed up blood as it splattered onto Ruby and the relic.

Ruby stayed silent as she twisted the sword and pulled it up Scarlet's body. Slicing her in half, Scarlet's arms fell as her hands slid off of Ruby's shoulders. Ruby pulled the sword out as she tossed the relic onto the ground, she fell backwards onto the ground as she panted.

"She's dead...the nightmare's over!" Ruby said between breaths, she held her arm up and made a thumbs up. "W-We did it...."

The barbwire and chains remained however, but the chains that had dragged everyone away started to lower down as everyone was let go. The nightmare was over, Ruby had returned home to patch but her voice only fell on deaf ears as Tiayang had heard what had happened to Yang and the others.

A few years had passed after what events had occurred, Ruby stayed in Patch with her dad and Zwei while Velvet, Coco and Ilia remained as the three maidens. As for Scarlet's Utopia that had been built in Atlas' place, It was repopulated and was announced as the new Atlas. Neo and Watts were missing after Scarlet had died. The Grimm that were being made were killed by huntsmen and huntresses.

Deity had sworn to protect the relics from any evil that would threaten to take them. Sera had built a new White Fang group from the ground up, as she was the leader of the new Fang. Charlotte on the other hand had told her family what crazy events she's been through while waiting to attend a new academy.

Diamond had became the new Headmaster of Beacon academy, since he still had the souls of Ozpin and Oscar. But that didn't bring any complaining to the academy, but there in the middle of the rebuilt Beacon stood a statue of Ruby Rose, the savior of Remnant.
