60 Chapter 59: Hell Fire

The sand storm was blowing hard, two silhouettes could be seen in the storm. One was Scarlet's as the other one was not a familiar one to Ruby and the others, but it was time they got the relic.

"We have to get the relic." Ruby said. "Diamond is going to hold Scarlet off as long as he can." She looked over to Coco and the others. "Get to the vault."

"You go ahead." Deity said. "I'm going to help Diamond."

"A-Are you sure?" Velvet asked looking at Deity.

Deity nodded her head. "Yes, now go. We need the Maidens alive, so you can get the relic." She turned her head to face the sand storm. "GO!"

Ilia hesitated for a moment. "Let's go then, Charlotte come on."

"Coming." Charlotte said.

"Ara ara, you've put the welcome rug out." Scarlet said as she stepped through the sand storm, she had a smirk on her face as she noticed Ruby and the others going inside. "Oh?"

"Hey, ugly. It's one against two." Deity said. "We're going to put you down for good."

"One against two? Ara ara...you're counting is off." Scarlet said as she snickered. "Oh Pyrrha."

Deity's eyes widen as she heard Scarlet say Pyrrha's name. "W-What?"

Pyrrha soon stepped through the sand storm, standing next to Scarlet. She glanced around as she noticed Deity and Diamond, her Wyvern tail swayed behind her.

"No..what did she do to Pyrrha?" Oscar asked. "Didn't everyone say she died?"

"Indeed." Ozpin said. "It seems Pyrrha has fallen victim to Scarlet's control and was reborn as part Grimm."

"You sick monster!" Diamond shouted at Scarlet. He clenched his fist tightly around his sword's handle. "You can't play with death like it's something you control! Especially not to turn someone into a monster!"

"Is that so?" Scarlet asked as she grins. "Pyrrha, take care of Deity....I'll deal with Diamond."

"Of course." Pyrrha said as she glanced over to Deity.

"Shit." Deity said. "I really don't want to harm you Pyrrha.."

Diamond scoffed at Scarlet, "Like you could handle me." He assumed his battle stance as he said to Deity, "That's not Pyrrha anymore. Pyrrha wouldn't fight people she cared about, just because someone she hated told her to."

Deity hesitated but nods. "r-Right.." She glared at Scarlet and then over to Pyrrha. "Come on."

Scarlet snickered a little as she dashed towards Diamond. "DIE!"

"Get ready." Ozpin said. "She's coming."

"Right." He said to Ozpin. Diamond's eyes glowed as he dashed forward towards Scarlet."Why don't you?!" He swung his sword on an angle once the two had gotten closer.

Inside Shade academy, the vault containing the sword of destruction was opened. As Ruby was going to retrieve it, Velvet was keeping a look out in case something happened. Her ears perked up a bit as she heard the commotion coming from outside, but then her ears went down.

"Velvet?" Sun asked. "What's wrong?"

Velvet glanced at Sun. "It's.....Pyrrha..."

"WHAT?!" Ruby shouted. "No...no...don't tell me Scarlet..."

Velvet was silent as Neptune looked at Ruby. "Get the sword, we need to get out there and help them."

"No, you heard what Deity said." Sera said. "Her and Diamond are going to buy us time, we have to know if the sword would kill Scarlet or not. We don't have no way of knowing that, it's best we come up with a plan. Instead of going out there."

Neptune was about to say something, but Coco nods. "She's right. Me, Velvet and Ilia may be the new maidens. But we can't just walk out there expecting to have to upper hand on Scarlet."

Ruby glanced at the sword as she looked at it for a moment. "Then let's plan a strategy..." She reached into the vault and grabbed the sword pulling it out. "Scarlet may have the lamp and staff, but we have the sword now. So, who has a idea of what we can do?"

Charlotte was thinking for a moment as she walked back and forth as the vault closed after Ruby had took the sword out.

Scarlet headbutted Diamond as she was going to stab him with her horns, Deity was avoiding Pyrrha's attacks as she ducked and rolled out of the way of Pyrrha's tail and claw.

As Diamond recoiled from the headbutt he back dashed away to just barely avoid impairment, "Okay, you're a bit fast I'll give you that."

"Stay on your toes." Oscar said. "I don't like that look on her face."

Deity jumped back as she looked at Diamond. "I would say switch, but...I'd be dead by Scarlet's hands before I could get any room to attack her."

"What's wrong? Don't tell me that's all you've got." Scarlet said as she held her hand out. "Allow me to show you what true power is." She grinned widely as she shot magic from her hand at the two.

Diamond reacted on instinct, and held his hand out to shield. However, a large shot of golden light emerged and counter reacted with the two shots, "I… totally meant to do that."

Pyrrha ran over, and without warning. Kneed Deity in the gut as she wrapped her tail around the goddess's throat, taking her by surprise.

"Good." Scarlet said as she cackled as she shot more magic at Diamond. "Kneel down to me."

"Dirty!-Gah fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Dick move!" Diamond shouted as he was pelted. He released a burst of light to disrupt the onslaught of magical shots.

"Careful, if she gets the upper hand on us. We're screwed." Oscar said.

Deity tried to get free from Pyrrha's tail, but Pyrrha started to drag Deity on the ground as she slammed her into the wall of the academy.

Scarlet snickered as she flew into the air and came flying down towards Diamond as her horns were aimed at him.

Diamond waited until she was close enough before he grabbed Scarlet by her horns and flung her into Pyrrha, "I won't let that happen, Oscar. Don't you worry."

Deity got up as she coughed. "Y-You could've done that a lot sooner..Diamond."

"I've got it." Charlotte said. "Right now Deity and Diamond are fighting, if they manage to make Scarlet tired out, we'll go distract her. As well as dealing with Pyrrha...I know it's not the best choice on this plan, but Ruby would then run out carrying the sword...and swoosh, using it on Scarlet to end her."

"That's not a bad idea...but what if we get ourselves killed out there?" Sun asked.

"You're kidding right? We have three maidens with us." Sera said. "I highly doubt we'll die in a snap of a finger."

"We can try our best." Ilia said. "We need to avenge everyone who died."

"Alright...we'll work with this plan." Ruby said as she held the sword of destruction. "I just don't know about harming Pyrrha...what if she's..."

"No, she's not all there. You saw what Cinder did to her." Coco said. "That's not Pyrrha out there, that's a monster..just like Scarlet is. We have to end them both, there's no alternate option."

Ruby looked down as she nods lightly. "Right..." She clinched the handle of the sword tightly as she looked up. "Let's wait then..it shouldn't be too long."

"Dammit." Scarlet growled as she got up and glared at Diamond.

"Well I thought you liked being choked." Diamond said to Deity as he attempted to get her pissed off.

"Not funny." Deity said. "How long does it take to get the sword of destruction?"

"It's no use trying to buy time for your friends." Scarlet said as she slowly approached with Pyrrha next to her. "Once we kill you both, I'll make sure to make Ruby watch everyone else die slowly...then I'll kill Ruby after."

"It depends on how long the maiden takes to open the door, and if they go in to grab it." Diamond told Deity. He looked to Scarlet, opening his mouth as if he were to talk, but remained silent.

Deity scoffed. "Let me deal with her this time." She glared at Scarlet. "I'm going to make sure you don't get up after I beat you to a pulp."

Scarlet laughed as she grins. "Please, what is a goddess going to do to me? Tickle me to death with feathers?"

"Diamond, I have a plan." Ozpin said.

"I'm listening." Diamond said to Ozpin as he decided he should at least keep Pyrrha preoccupied. He got between Deity and Pyrrha awaiting Ozpin's plan.

"This is a stretch, but it might work." Ozpin said. "If me and Oscar combine our power with yours, we should be able to at least weaken Scarlet. But also kill Pyrrha in the process as well. I'm aware she isn't who she was before, we have to put her down before things get worse for her."

"Killing Pyrrha...that's not gonna be fun, but you're right." Oscar said. "She's suffering look at her."

"Then let's give them one hell of a time." Diamond said to them as the golden energy began to rapidly increase in output.

Deity was able to jump over Scarlet, as she grabbed onto her Nevermore wings. "I'll be taking these off of your hands." Deity smirked a bit as she started to pull at the wings ripping them off of Scarlet's shoulder blades. "That's for Atlas." She then elbowed Scarlet in the back hearing a crack. "That's for Everyone you killed."

Scarlet growled as she stumbled forward. "You little shit."

"Hey Scarlet!" Diamond shouted at her.

Scarlet glared at Diamond, she didn't know what Ozpin had just told Diamond. Deity moved out of the way giving the thumbs up to Diamond.

"Here's for causing all of this!!!" He tucked his arms in before rapidly extending them upwards, releasing a massive blast of golden light that flooded the area.

The golden light could be seen from inside Shade academy as Sera and the others noticed it. Ruby saw it as hope but somehow knew it wasn't going to kill Scarlet. "Kick her ass!"

Pyrrha was caught in the blast as well, Scarlet scoffed as she shielded herself from any damage from the attack.

Diamond panted as the light slowly faded, "How'd you like that?!"

Scarlet stood there, her horns shattered as she glared at Diamond, smoke and steam was coming off of her as her body was slowly healing. "What was that?" She noticed Pyrrha was no longer around as she scoffed. "So, you killed her...no matter..I'll just end you all myself."

"Damn it, it didn't work." Oscar said.

"It did." Ozpin said. "She's exposed to a fatal attack now.."

"HEY!" Ruby shouted as her and the others came out. "We're not done with you yet Scarlet." She held the sword tightly as she glared at her. "It's time we end you here and now."

"And let's make sure the attack hits!" Diamond declared as he activated his semblance to stasis Scarlet's clothing so she couldn't move, "Ruby now!" He said looking to her.

Scarlet cocked an eyebrow up. "Ara ara, you think this will hold me? You were to busy to notice."

"Notice what?" Sun asked.

"This!" Scarlet yelled as her Grimm eyes glowed red.

The area started to fill up with barbwire and chains, as the chains latched onto everyone expect Ruby. The chains started dragging Sun and the others into the air, Ruby looked horrified as she glared at Scarlet, who was laughing insanely.
