59 Chapter 58: Breaking Boundaries

Shade, was being attacked by Grimm. However, Ruby was the target mostly. And the plan actually worked and didn't fail. Neo had taken Ruby's eye out leaving her without an eye.

"Quick, we need to get her patched up." Deity said. "Go find me a empty room away from Grimm."

"On it." Sun said dashing off. "Crap, crap. Ruby's out, what are we gonna do?"

Theodore noticed as he was too distracted by his conversation with Diamond, he noticed Sun was running somewhere as he knew what he had to do.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck." Sun mumbled under his breath, as he found a empty room away from chaos.

"Well I believe that cuts our talk short." Diamond said to Theodore, hearing running but not seeing who it was.

"I must go make sure the relic is safe." Theodore said as he nods his head. "You go help them out. I've got a bad feeling about all this, all of a sudden."

Sun ran back to Deity as he was already out of breath. "....I...I found...empty room..."

"Good." Deity said lifting Ruby up on her back. "Let's get moving then."

"Good luck... it feels like I should say, old friend." Diamond said to Theodore as he runs out of his office. Trying to track down where the group was, he attempted to retrace where he heard the footsteps.

"Theo isn't the only one with this bad feeling." Ozpin said. "I fear Scarlet's slowly making her plans to come here, but having the Grimm do her dirty work."

"You said it." Oscar said.

"Well let's wipe them out." Diamond said as he turned on his hard light sword while he ran. He listened to see if he could hear anyone so he can meet up with them.

"This way." Deity said as she carried Ruby still, she ran past the tired monkey faunus as Neptune followed behind with Sera in toe. "Hang on Ruby, don't die on us."

Diamond comes sliding around the corner, "You miss me guys?!-Fuck!" And he slid right into the wall.

"Diamond, look at Ruby." Ozpin said. "It seems she was attacked, something isn't right."

"The hell took you so long?" Sera asked. "Ruby got her ass handed to her by Neo."

"I... was discussing plans with Theodore..." Diamond said wide eyed examining Ruby. A sense of dread and guilt swept over him as his golden eyes softly began to glow alongside the tips of his hair once again.

"Neo yanked Ruby's eye out, and my team is dead." Sun said finally catching up. "Scarlet has a freaking Minotaur Grimm that has a axe."

"We gotta get Ruby patched up, I can make her an eye patch to cover the wound, but we don't know how long she'll be out. Or when Scarlet's going to show up." Neptune said.

"N-No... We.. no I won't let Scarlet and her band of bitches do this anymore!" Suddenly a golden flash of light erupted from Diamond and flooded the hallway briefly.

Neo stopped half way as she noticed the light, she didn't look to happy as she was about to sneak into Theodore's office to go to the vault. But something was blocking her path there, Ruby's wounds however were healed thanks to Diamond.

Diamond looks confused by what had just happened, "Did... did I just heal?" He asks dumbfounded at his ability, still not properly understanding its capabilities.

"You did." Ozpin said.

"I should mention." Neptune said. "Neo hit me and Sun with some sort of power...I don't know what."

"Power?" Deity asked. "....It can't be..."

"Great, ice cream maiden from hell." Diamond says frustrated, knowing full well what it all means.

Deity nods her head. "Scarlet must've given Neo the Fall maiden powers, since she didn't need them anymore. Due to the fact she has Salem's magic now, Neptune..how face can you work on that eye patch?"

"I can get started right away." Neptune said.

"Well time for me to melt that ice cream cone into a sticky mess." Diamond said not realizing how bad that sounded.

Sun looked a bit dumbfounded. "How bad can she be? I mean...if she has an army of Grimm on her side, then yeah it's bad. But, if she's coming here alone. It should be a cake walk...right guys?"

"No, not right." Deity said. "She's slaughtered countless people, you know damn well she killed Ruby's team for pleasure. She won't think twice about killing us all, if we don't end her." She looked over to Diamond. "Ozpin, can the sword of destruction kill her for good?"

Ozpin thinks for a bit as he didn't think using the relic to kill someone would be possible. "It's worth a try, yes...but we can't say for sure."

"He said it's worth a shot, but who knows if it'll actually do the job." Diamond said to the group with a sigh.

Deity puts Ruby down as she looked at her. "Ruby...can you hear me?"

Ruby slowly started to wake up, as she glanced around. "H-How?"

"Neptune's run off to make you a eye patch, right now you need to sit here." Deity said.

"I'm going to find Neo and bring hellfire down on her." Diamond said as he started to walk away from the group, "If I can find her that is..."

The Minotaur rammed towards Velvet's team, as Coco and Ilia tried to hit Neo with their Maiden powers. But the mute Maiden smirked as she fired back at them, Theodore was in the vault as he heard the commotion going on.

Neptune returned to the others with a fancy eye patch with a rose on it, he placed it over Ruby's missing eye as he grins. "Suits you better than it did Cinder."

Ruby got up as she cliched her fist tightly. "We have to go help Diamond find Neo, and stop these Grimm, before Scarlet's given a chance to show up."

As Neo fired an attack, her clothes get hit with the effects of Diamond's semblance, Stasis, freezing her in place, "Hey short stack, I've got a bone to pick with you." He said as the golden aura continued to glow.

Neo glared at him, as her eyes glowed. Clearly she was pissed seeing him again, the Minotaur huffed as it charged at Diamond and was going to swing it's axe at him.

Diamond oddly enough, let it, feeling like standing still was the best course of action he did not even guard with aura as the axe was brought down onto him.

The axe hit Diamond, but nothing happened. The axe shattered, it seems this power Diamond had was like a shell that was hard to crack with a simple weapon. This pissed off the Grimm as it roared loudly.

"That hurt you bastard." Although some shards from the axe's blade stuck into his neck, it only caused the golden glow to amplify further as he pulled it from his neck. He raises his hand to the Grimm as a ray of light floods from his palm into the Grimm. "Just like the fairy tale said." Diamond said as he released the energy.

"Interesting." Oscar said. "I imagined this Grimm was tougher."

"It was, but we had the upper hand." Ozpin said. "Scarlet's making Grimm stronger than what Salem had done."

"It might have been just one Grimm, but the real monster is locked in place right in front of us." Diamond said to them as he turned to Neo with a death glare, "You can act like a turret and fire off magic, but you can't kill me. You won't hurt another soul."

Neo smirked as she had everything planned out already, she had a smug look on her face as the mute maiden glared at Diamond with the same death glare, Ruby and the others arrived to see what was going on.

"Found him." Sun said. "Whoa..he's got Neo in a bind."

"Stasis, he used it to freeze her in place." Deity said seeing the smug look on Neo's face. "And she's just smug as ever as well..fantastic."

Diamond started slashing at the stasis inflicted clothing with his sword, but nothing seemingly happened. Until the stasis was released and all the built up slashes hit all at once.

Neo took damage as she winched in pain, Ruby watched feeling like she wanted to do something. But didn't know what to do at the moment.

Before Neo could move again, Diamond froze Neo back in stasis again.

"Should we end her here?" Sera asked looking at Diamond. "I'll be happy to tear her arms off."

"I mean, I'm sure Oz would say no." Diamond raised his sword, "But I'm not him." He said before looking to Sera, "She herself isn't in stasis, only her clothes. She'll get hit but the force from her clothes would only travel after I release it."

"So, she'll be naked?" Ruby asked cocking an eyebrow up.

"I-... You know I didn't think of that. But that would be the worse case scenario because then I can't freeze her." Diamond explained while being slightly flustered by his stupidity.

"I say we hold her hostage, and use her as a bargain chip to lure Scarlet into a trap." Sun said.

Deity sighs as she puts her hand on Sun's shoulder. "Sun....Scarlet is a monster...you really think she's going to fall for that?"

"I mean...I guess." Sun said.

"Better yet." Diamond looks to Neo, "Why are you working for Scarlet?" He asked forgetting she can't talk.

"Ahem." Ruby said clearing her throat. "Neo's mute, she can't talk...did you really forget that?"

"Ruby I healed you cut me some slack." Diamond said with sass. He looked back over to Neo, "I can attempt to fix your vocal cords if you want to talk about it rather than get killed?"

Neo just casually stood there, as she shook her head. Sera face palmed as she groans.

"Alright since you want to be sassy." Diamond in once swift motion rapidly slashed at Neo, "Time for some fan service." He unlocked her clothing from stasis and left Neo thankfully in her underwear.

Neo blinked as she covered herself, she glared at them angrily. But a smirk spread across her face as she turned to look at the sandy desert storm.

"What in the?" Coco asked.

"Oh good… more trouble by the looks of it." Diamond said as he stasis'ed Neo's underwear so she is still stuck.

"No..we have to run, now." Ruby said as she shivered. "She's here...."

Sun looked at Ruby and then at the storm. "S-She's here? How can you tell?"

Ruby was silent as she watched the storm, soon seeing a silhouette of two people, one was Scarlet's the other one. Ruby couldn't tell who it was, but it wasn't good news. "We have to run, NOW!"

"No. We can't run. If we run we shall lose." Diamond said as he starts to leave the group, "Please get the relic. It's our only chance."

Coco nods. "Right, come one. Diamond should be able to stall enough time for us to get the relic. And use it on Scarlet to end her once and for all."

Ruby hesitated for a moment as slowly nods. "R-Right...."
