58 Chapter 57: Dice of Fate

The students at Shade academy were preparing for the arrival of Scarlet, however. Everyone was still unaware of Neo being there, expect Sera knew the mute was there and didn't say anything.

"We're on the edge of our seats." Sera said looking at Ruby. "We need to get that relic, and use it on Scarlet."

Ruby looked at Sera as she cocks an eyebrow up. "News flash, she's immortal."

Sera face palms. "I'm aware of that, but can't we just like cut her in half with the sword of destruction."

"Maybe." Deity said as she rubs her chin. "But we can't say for sure...Diamond is out talking to the headmaster, so we can't really ask."

Ruby crossed her arms. "Crap."

"Meaning?" Sera asked.

Deity looked at her. "Meaning, we have to wait for their chat to be doing." She looked over to Ruby as she ponders for a moment. "We should do a quick scan of the area, to make sure there's no Grimm coming. Or any spies Scarlet sent...but the only two who were alive at the time, were Watts and Neo."

Ruby would nod her head. "Yeah, plus I think Charlotte's trying to figure out what Coco and the other two are doing with their maiden powers."

Sera groans a little. "Fine, we'll search the area."

While Ruby and Sera were scanning the area of the academy for any Grimm, or Neo. The sound of Grimm howling and roaring could be heard as Ruby jumped hearing the sound.

"That....was a new sound." Sun said as he quickly showed up.

"You're telling me." Neptune said. "What kind of Grimm is she making that sounds like that?"

Ruby would squint her eyes as she waited to see what would come through, the silhouette of the Minotaur could be seen soon after. It was carrying a large axe, as it snarled.

"RUN!" Ruby cried.

Sun and Neptune looked at each other as they started to turn around, the Minotaur Grimm huffed as it started to charge head first at the academy. Ruby quickly used her semblance and grabbed the two boys and dashed out of the way.

Charlotte heard Ruby yell, as she looked out seeing the Grimm charging towards the academy. "Wait, the defenses are down. How?" Little did she know, Neo had put the defenses that surround the academy down. "We gotta help."

Ilia nods. "Good idea, what are we dealing with?"

Charlotte looked again. "Uh, I don't know. This looks like a new type of Grimm we haven't heard of before."

The Minotaur rammed into the side of the academy as it shook the building, more Grimm started to make their way in as each and every huntsmen and huntress were on standby to kill the Grimm.

"Quick, we need to get to our team." Neptune said. "Ruby, can you take us to them?"

"You mean David and Sage?" Ruby asked looking at him. "I can try."

Sun looked at Ruby with a confused look. "Why did you call him David?"

"Uh...if you hadn't noticed, Scarlet shares the same name with your teammate." Ruby said. "It'll be weird saying Scarlet's here. When everyone is on high alert, so it has to be David."

"Oh, good point." Sun said.

Ruby looked at the two as she stopped, as she saw Deity rush past her. "Sun, where were you and your team at before you two came running."

Neptune ponders for a moment as he glanced around. "Oh right, over by the....gym...right where that Grimm is..."

"Crap, we gotta run." Sage said.

The Minotaur smashed it's way into the gym as the Grimm huffed, it held it's massive axe as it looked at the two members of SSSN.

"We can't go anywhere." David said.

The Minotaur charged at the two as it swung it's massive ax at the two as it missed. The two boys dodged, but weren't so lucky as the Grimm kicked them back.

David and Sage coughed up blood as the Minotaur raised it's axe up and swung it down, right as Ruby had arrived with sun and Neptune. Blood splattered on them, as David and Sage's heads were cut clean off, Ruby gritted her teeth as she dashed forward and swung Crescent Rose at the Grimm.

"Ruby wait!" Sun shouts.

"I'll kill you!" Ruby yelled as she hits the Minotaur with Crescent Rose, only to get hit in the face by the Grimm's fist.

Once Ruby was hit, she went flying back. Crashing into Sun and Neptune, the Minotaur stomped it's way over to them as it snarled.

"Ruby, get up." Sun said.

Ruby got up as she glared at the Minotaur, her eyes glowed but was soon stopped completely. Neo Mary Poppins into the gym, as the hidden blade in her umbrella was thrown at Ruby's left eye.

"GAAAHHH!!!" Ruby cried out in pain as she heard Neo's foot steps coming towards her. "G-Get away!"

Sun and Neptune rushed over, but Neo smirked as she blasted them away with her Maiden powers. She watched Ruby kneel to her knees as she grabbed her sword, and yanked it out resulting in Ruby losing an eye. the mute Maiden smirked as she looked at the eye and slid it off of her blade, before putting it back.

"Y-You..." Ruby managed to say as she passed out from what had happened. Her vision was blurry for a moment as she watched Neo skip away as the Minotaur left.

Deity rushed to the gym with Sera and the other three Maidens as Deity picked Ruby up, she glanced at over to the others. "Quick, we need to take her inside, so I can treat her wound."
