1 First Semester Part 1

The Hunter Teams RWBY and JNR stood in the depths of the Dark Lands, surrounded by Grimm on all sides, they duked it out with a complete Grimm form of Salem.

They fought four hours fending off an army of terrifying Grimm with all their might and while Ruby and Jaune fought against Salem herself, after countless attempts, the Huntress and Hunter finally managed to deal a fatal blow against their foe.

Jaune's Long Sword that looked like it was made of pure energy, ran through Salem's stomach as Ruby's scythe cleaved her head off, as Salem died the teams shouted in victory, however, the Grimm around them hadn't disappeared.

Everyone was back to back, they surrounded on all sides, with their stamina failing, and their Auras were running on fumes, the future looked bleak, even Ruby was totally exhausted from overusing her Silver Eyes.

Only Jaune was still going strong.

Jaune healed Nora and Yang while giving them plenty of his Aura before saying, "Since you two are the strongest physically, it's up to you to carry them out of here! I'll clear a path." Jaune pointed to everyone else.

He then raised his sword and slammed it on the ground, a bright wave made out of pure Aura erupted from the ground like a wave and cleaved out a massive chunk of earth, leaving only a massive line-shaped crater in its place.

Miles of the landscape had been cleared out at the tip of Jaune's Aura Blast, including every Grimm that had stood in their path, yet, even as he spoke, more and more Grimm began rapidly spawning from the tainted earth around them.

"I hold them off!" Jaune said as he turned his back to his group

Ruby started to tear up and shouted "No!" as she wrapped her arms around Jaune's waist.

Jaune gave her a soft look, he lifted up Ruby's hood and kissed her, as their lips parted Jaune said, "I can't wait to start family with you, I imagined us growing old together, slaying Grimm and being the world's greatest heroes, and kids, I want so many kids."

Ruby kept bawling, "I won't leave without you! You promised we'd all come back together! You promised you'd take care of me! You can't protect me if you're dead!"

Jaune smiled, "I'm not planning on dying, you guys have to come back and save my ass!" everyone looked down, they didn't want to leave Jaune because it would be hours before they could get support from Ironwood, they knew if they left now, Jaune would most certainly die.

"Yang take care of my wife for me." Jaune handed her over.

"Let me go, Yang!" Ruby shouted while she struggled with all of her might, Yang waved her arm and with a quick tap to the back of Ruby's neck, Yang knocked her out.

As Yang picked up Ruby and Blake, she turned her back to him and said, "Jaune if you die, I'll never forgive you, because Ruby will never forgive me."

Jaune smiled and turned to Nora who was bawling her eyes out, "No Jaune, we can't lose you too!"

Jaune smiled and said, "You've been like family to me, Nora, you've always felt like my little sister, being the youngest in my family, I can say that it was a neat experience for me, Ren, I've always thought of you as my older brother, the smart and caring one I've always wanted, take care of Nora."

Ren was crying while covering his face, "Please Jaune come with us!"

Nora had Wiess and Ren over he shoulders while Jaune turned back to face the hoard, "Now go! The longer you wait, the worst my chances are."

"But..." Nora was about to protest again, "Your leader just gave you a direct order, now follow it!"

Nora turned around and left him alongside Yang, they were moving as fast as they could, Jaune however, surrounded his body in Aura and shook his sword, countless Grimm was being killed while he dove into the danger.

Jaune's long sword cut down through a Gaint Troll looking Grimm, the two halves fell over onto multiple Grimm, crushing them, as a Dragon-type breathed black fire at him, Jaune raised his shield and dove into the flames, bashing the Dragon's head in.

A giant Nevermore swooped down and tried to eat Jaune whole, Jaune raised his sword over his shield arm and jumped forward into the creature's mouth, with a powerful stabbing motion, Jaune came out of the center of the Nevermore's throat, with a simple jump, Jaune kicked his feet off the Nevermore's back, and flew back into the crowd.

Landing on a Gaint Goliath Grimm's forehead, the Grimm's mask broke as Jaune his feet sunk into the creatures face, Jaune quickly stabbed his sword out into the Goliath's head and jumped off of it before a pack of Grand Beowolves attempted to eat him.

With a powerful spinning motion, Jaune's body turned into a tornado-like blur, chopping up everything in his path.

Even though it had only been a few hours since the team left, Jaune had lost all his sense of the time, he no longer remembered how many times he had swung his sword, his arms were burning, callous torn, he could feel the blood dripping down from his hands and falling from the hilt the blade.

"How long have I been fighting?" Jaune questioned, his armor was broken, body covered in wounds, his Aura was barely managing to heal them anymore, his stamina was beginning to fail, and he was starting to doubt whether he would survive this ordeal.

Jaune looked up and raised his sword into the air, a horse-shaped Grimm with a crocodile's head tried to eat Jaune whole, his sword pierced through its mouth and stabbed into the creature's brain.

As it turned to ash, Jaune fell to his knees and looked at the surrounding Grimm before sighing, "I guess this is it for me, I'm almost out of Aura, but don't think I'll let you eat me!"

Jaune started to a chain reaction inside his body, by stockpiling all his remaining Aura into a single point, a dense white drop of solid Aura appeared in front of him, he then tapped into his life energy and poured it all into one final attack.

Jaune shouted as his Aura inflated thousands of times over, creating a giant dome-shaped ball of golden light.

The clouds parted as sunlight covered the entire Dark Lands, mixed with Jaunes Aura, the Grimm's biggest spawning center been purified by a glowing Gold Aura.

All of the rotten and dead greenery that once was; now had fresh flowers and vibrant grass growing, glowing green moss coated the withered trees, and sprouts for new redwoods appeared popping up from the ground.

Every Grimm in a thousand miles radius had all died off and were no longer spawning, the black tar pits that spawned the Grimm turned into clear waters that shined with a white Aura.

Jaune's body fell forward as he placed his sword in the ground to support him, he started panting heavily, his skin had turned pale, almost ashy.

Jaune stayed there for almost an hour, chanting, "I can't die until Yang comes back, she'll kill me." over and over again, his dull eyes still had a speck of light in them, as he watched the sun rising on the horizon he heard someone shouting his name.

A whole group of Hunter's around a hundred strong alongside his friends came running over to him and started shouting his name, however, he couldn't see them anymore, he felt Ruby placing her hands on his cheeks crying with every ounce of water she had in her body.

Everyone used a machine to try to give him their Aura in order to heal him, but it wasn't working, Ironwood frowned and covered his face, "I'm sorry, Jaune used his life energy to do this, all the Aura in the world can't heal him now."

Jaune smiled and moved his dull eyes at Ruby before saying, "I did it, I held on...hey Ruby?" Jaune's voice was getting weaker.

"What is it Jaune?" Everyone's tears were falling to the ground and pooling together, "Do you think they'll remember me as a Hero?"

"Yes! The greatest hero, they'll probably even make a statue of you, so stay with me Jaune, you have to live to see it." Ruby responded kissing Jaune on the forehead.

Everyone was gripping their fist or starring at the ground with a hollow expression as they watched their friend dying, "Ruby, I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise, I'm the worst Arc ever," Jaune said grinning.

Jaune's eyes closed on last time and his body fell forward, Ruby screamed at the top of he lungs, "Jaune? Honey, wake up, please no! No No No, Please, Nooooo!" Ruby rocked his lifeless body back and forth as she was surrounded by her friends and families comfort while she continued to grieve.

Jaune felt his soul leave his body, he felt a great sense of guilt as watched his wife crying over his lifeless body in dismay, "I'm so sorry Ruby, I never wanted to make you cry like this."

He looked at his transparent hands as he floated further into the sky, eventually, he ended up at a large and empty white void.

He was wondering if this was heaven or hell, when all of a sudden, he heard a voice call out to him, it was a voice that he recognized, "Jaune, you've done well."

Jaune turned himself around to see an unfamiliar man standing before him, he didn't recognize that appearance of Ozma, Ozpin's first incarnation, but he recognized the voice.

"That voice? Ozpin! Is that you?" Jaune hadn't seen what the Jinn showed everyone, he only heard about it through Ruby.

"My apologies Jaune, I did not wish for your death, but because you have killed Salem Husk and purified the majority of the Dark Lands, you have freed my soul and bought balance to Remnant," Ozma explained.

Jaune rubbed the back of his head, "No, I didn't do much, Ruby was the one who struck the final blow."

Ozma smiled, "Don't belittle your actions, you have grown so much stronger, thanks to your actions, I have become something other than human, and have hidden away the relics so that no person shall ever call those childish gods back to the planet."

Ozma stared at Jaune, "Jaune you are the first person I will tell the whole truth to, the reason I hid away the relics and tried to hide Salem's history."

Jaune looked over at Ozma with a serious expression, "You know about the Gods of Light and Darkness, when I was younger I believed in them with all my might."

Ozma then somehow summoned a mug of coffee and took a drink, "However, since my time on Remnant, I have changed my opinion of the Gods of light and darkness, compared to how quickly humans mature, as eternal beings the God's could only be seen as children."

Jaune was shocked, "They were also too young to understand what they created, and too immature to consider the consequences of creating a being with such potential."

"But they created us, right? How could we be stronger than them?" Jaune asked scratching his head.

"It's more than that Jaune, we are the combined creation of the light and dark, we can become far stronger than the gods that created us. Even now, I find myself understanding more and more about the universe and how to manipulate it."

Ozma turned to his left and smiled, Jaune was shocked to see that Salem had returned to her former appearance, that of a beautiful human without a trace of Grimm contamination, she walked up to Ozma and held his hand.

"Ozpin, are you saying what I think you're saying?" Jaune asked while pointing his finger at the two.

"It appears like you, we turned lies into truth." Ozma smiled as he was joined by his 4 children. Winter, Summer, Spring, and Fall.
