42 Chapter 39: Reminded of you

The town of Magnolia, The home of the Fairy Tail guild and it's people. The year is X791, after being frozen in time for seven years, Natsu and co had returned to the guild. But one guild member was Ryuko Matoi, the seventeen year old girl had been part of Fairy Tail ever since her world was taken over by Grimm. All thanks to a certain red headed Grimm girl, Matoi trained hard ever since joining the Fairy Tail family. She swore that one day she would make Scarlet pay for the crimes she had done.

However, what she didn't know was that Scarlet was coming to Magnolia to cause havoc for everyone. Ryuko had the Fairy Tail emblem printed on her stomach, the color of her emblem was a dark shade of purple, of course she didn't have any magic nor did she care to know any magic. She had her partner Senketsu and her scissor blade to help her out in tough situations.

Ryuko yawned as she rubs the back of her head. "Man I'm beat...I'll catch you all later, I need a nap."

"Oh come on Ryuko, don't be a party pooper...we just got back...it's been how long exactly?" Natsu asked.

"Seven years." Macao said. "It's been seven long years since you all vanished." Macao was the new master of the guild but Markarov was still the master, but didn't say much to Macao about his choice.

"Party or not, I'm beat." Ryuko said grabbing her bag and flinging it over her shoulder. "Have fun without me." She mumbled something as she walks out of the guild.

Senketsu looked up at Ryuko as she walked away from the guild. "Ryuko, I know what's bothering you... It's been seven years. You heard what Macao said, besides. I don't think we'll be seeing you know who again anytime soon, you need to relax. We still can take back our home from the Grimm, but we can't if you're picky about the plans going forward."

Ryuko rolls her eyes. "Did I ask you?" As she walked through the streets of Magnolia, the rift opened in an alleyway as Scarlet had came through. Ryuko hadn't noticed as she glances at the people in town whispering. "Take a picture, it'll last longer!"

The people turned their heads away from Ryuko, she stopped by one of the shops and walks in. Her stomach grumbled as it hadn't had any decent food. "Damn it, being frozen in time for seven years works up an appetite." She reached into her pocket on her jacket as she pulled out some money and noticed some folded up pieces of papers. "What's this?"

She unfolded one as it was a picture of Scarlet, a wanted poster no doubt. She had them displayed all over Magnolia from the very start before being frozen in time, she scoffed and placed the wanted poster down by a shelf of snacks. "Not a single person had told me if they've seen her or not." She grabbed a chocolate bar, a sandwich and a drink. She paid for it as she walked out of the store, she started to nibble on the sandwich as she then stuffed it into her mouth chewing it and gulps it down. She had done the same with the candy bar and drink as she let out a small burp, she covered her mouth and pats her full stomach as she grins a little. "Now to go get some rest."

Scarlet watched Ryuko as she stood in silence, she noticed the water poster on the wall next to her as the Grimm girl tore it off and balls the poster up tossing it behind her. Ryuko stops as she glances over to the alleyway that Scarlet was standing in, she hadn't recognized her as she hadn't seen this form of Scarlet before.

"Careful Ryuko." Senketsu said. "Picking a fight will only get you worn out."

"Relax Senket, I'm not going to fight." Ryuko said as she walks over and stops half way. "Hey lady, have you seen a girl about this high, with scarlet red hair?"

Scarlet stayed silent as she shook her head, she wanted to throw Ryuko off on her search for her. But knew that when the time was right to strike, she'd reveal to Ryuko who she was. Ryuko sighed as she rubs the back of her head, she turned around and walked off. "Thanks I guess, I'll see if anyone else had seen her lately. But right after my nap..."

Twilight Ogre guild, the strongest guild in Magnolia. They have Fairy Tail pay them up front, but things were about to get a bit hairy for the strongest guild. Not a single member of Fairy Tail was there to pay them a visit, but one person in particular was.

Scarlet stood outside of the Twilight Ogre guild as she grins. "Ara ara, so this guild is putting Fairy Tail to shame? Then I suppose it's my time to show this filthy guild what terror looks like." She walked through the doors as she enters the guild hall.

Some of the guild members looked at Scarlet as she walks in like she owned the place. The master of the guild, Banaboster noticed as he snapped his fingers as team Twilight Ogre stood in Scarlet's way as well as Mattan Ginger. Thibault stepped forward as he smirks looking at Scarlet, he held his kanabo as the large spiked mace was larger than Scarlet was.

"What's this? Walking into our guild like you own the place." Thibault said as he chuckles. "Say master Banaboster, shall we show this chick a lesson or two?"

"By all means, show her what happens when she messes with the Twilight Ogre's." Banaboster said as he grins. "After that, we should give Fairy Tail a visit about their money they owe us."

Scarlet folded her Nevermore wings behind her as her Grimm eyes glowed red. "Ara, you want to show me what happens? But what if I show you something terrifying?"

"Eh?" Thibault asked confused. "Terrifying? The only terrifying thing here is us! Not some lowlife scum like you."

Scarlet snickered as she shadow hands wrapped around Banaboster from where he was sitting. "Let's make a deal then, if you can beat me. I'll let your master live.... but if you fail, and I beat you filthy humans. I get to paint your guild with your blood!" Her aura was flowing off of her as it sent chills down their spins. "Do we have a deal?"

While Ryuko slept in her bed, she was dreaming that she had beaten Scarlet and stood proudly over her. Then her dream started to get twisted and turned into a nightmare, she was flung off of Scarlet as she hit the wall. Scarlet slammed her foot down on Ryuko as she yelled in pain, which caused her to wake up drenched in sweat.

"Ryuko, are you alright?" Senketsu asked looking at her from where he was hanging at. "You're sweating...another nightmare about Scarlet?"

Ryuko panted as she gulps down some air. "Y-Yeah...I thought it was going to be a peaceful one where I had defeated her, but it changed." She places her hands to her face and shakes her head. "It's like my dream is telling me she's coming here to Magnolia for some reason..." She got out of bed and put Senketsu on.

"It's probably nothing you have to worry about." Senketsu said. "There's no way she'll be showing herself around here. Wizards are powerful here, you have Dragon Slayers and other magic mages..."

"Easy for you to say." Ryuko said as she grabs her scissor blade. "I can't stop thinking about her..." She looked down at her feet as she slips her shoes on. "....Maybe Cana can help me." She walked out of her apartment as she walked down the street.

Suddenly a eerie feeling stabbed Ryuko right in her nervous system. She had walked past the Twilight Ogre guild as she stopped half way from it's doors, she had goosebumps on her body. The door to the guild was left opened as a foul stench flowed out from the building.

"Senkets...you feel that?" Ryuko asked as she plugs her nose. "That feeling...that sinister presence, it has to be...."

Senketsu was silent as he could feel the shaking of Ryuko's body, her blood ran cold as well. "Ryuko, I'd highly suggest you go back to the Fairy Tail guild, have Markarov and the others come back here and check it out. We don't need you going in there alone."

Ryuko didn't listen to Senketsu as she grips her scissor blade and rushed into the guild. "This is my one and only chance to take my revenge on Scarlet, I'm not letting the Fairy Tail guild take that chance away from me Senkets. She has to pay for what she's done!"

The moment Ryuko had entered the Twilight Ogre guild, she stepped in a puddle of fresh blood as she stood there. Eyes bulging out, almost ready to pop out of their sockets. What she saw was indeed a sign that Scarlet had been under her nose the entire time, Ryuko went pale as she vomits from the sight and stench. The members of the guild were torn apart, blood was painted all over the inside of the hall, body organs hung from the ceiling and statues. Fresh blood dripped from the organs and severed bodies, Matoi clinches her sickly stomach as she tried to leave the guild without trailing any blood behind her. But it didn't help, she reached into her skirt pocket and pulled out one of Cana's calling cards.

The card flashed as Ryuko stood in the bloody guild. "C-Cana, I'm at the Twilight Ogre guild...tell master Markarov to come quick with the others..." She put the calling card back in her pocket as she fell to her knees splashing in the puddle of blood. "Damn it! She's here in Magnolia... Scarlet's here!"

Cana's card flashed as she did get the message from Ryuko, but Erza was already gone from the guild. Scarlet flew in the air of Magnolia as she glances down at the town below as she spoke in unison with Salem's voice. "Hope.... It makes you weak. Humanity clings to the belief...That a savior will come, that a hero will rise. Shrouded in armor to save you... It won't, armor can be broken. Bodies shattered... When you look back on these last days, you will realize that all you've built. Was a tomb, a place where hope dies..." She turned her head to the side as she saw Erza floating behind her, in her Heaven's Wheel Armor.
