~Ruby POV~

We finally made it through Weiss's Dream even though it's a bit dark, but I know Weiss is not like this normally.

Remembering the time when Team JNPR described their event and the Professors said that the Nightmare is corrupting the user's dream I could only blame the Nightmare for this.

And Grimm in general.

That was when I saw Yang begin to call Blake with our… dream Scrolls as she got some info for us to be wary about, "Huh? She's got Grimm too? What are you serious about? Oh yeah. Will have a door open soon."

Good thing we have some spare coins on us.

Thank goodness for extra Coins and Jack boosting Semblance he has.

He really is versatile?

I wonder how will fight when the actual Vytal Festival happens?

That was when I saw Yang use up one of her coins as the door appeared in front of us with a door sounding open as I smile to greet Blake, "Blake, so you fought the other Weiss, right? Are you hurt or anything? Did Jack manage to boost you in time?"

Blake comes toward us as she began to summarize what happened to her as she talked to us calmly, "We were basically playing tag. Managed to trick Negative Weiss with my Semblance boosted to leave an actual clone fooling her long enough. In the end, we were just playing tag. But I'm fine thanks."

"Whew…"

At least it's good to know Blake is safe.

The other Weiss is really tough so long as her mind allows her to and it's a very scary thing to fight off against.

That was when Yang began to voice her concerns to us when she told a critical question, "Hey, how many coins do you have left?"

"I have one left."

"Two for me."

"Three for me then."

I have one coin since I was a bit wasteful using them during the fortress to look ahead when we had plenty of coins.

Blake having two means she still had enough and Yang hardly tapped into hers with the spare coins from Shion's aura boosted.

I think I like our odds of completing our goal to save Weiss.

We already discussed that I'll be the one to get us home if needed as we began to enter the path to Weiss's inner heart from what Shion says.

As we enter inside I began to listen to what Yang talked about the warning from the professors in the real world, "The professor told us to never touch the Nightmare's thorns."

Next, I hear Blake reply to Yang about the thorns as she asked confused, "That would've been impossible without the relic."

Although what I heard from Yang did cheer me up a bit as she spoke out, "Ruby had it covered."

"Hehe…"

I couldn't resist a small laugh at that with a goofy grin on my face.

As we enter the place, we intended to see the Nightmare we all couldn't resist the sight ahead of us.

"Oh…"

All three of us had the same reaction seeing the sight.

The Nightmare Grimm seems to be trying to attach itself to what seems to be a blue dress that I saw Pyrrha's dream version had but in red as the thorns tried to grab onto it.

"That's the Nightmare."

Without any words, I already called out to Yang already knowing what to do.

"Yang."

With that Yang began to use the coin to summon up the Dream Hunter as she tries to call him from the real world, "Ah, hello? This is Yang. Wha – "

That was when the ice suddenly attacked the phone booth that Yang summoned our eyes were alerted towards the attacker being dream Weiss we see her enter as she talks to us, "How dare you enter these sacred halls."

Summoning up her semblance she used it to jump forward while doing a backflip landing in front of us with her weapon facing toward us as Yang spoke out the shocking thing in front of us, "Wait, is she protecting the Grimm?"

Blake began to scold Yang as I was left confused by this turn of events, "Do you really not understand why we're here?"

"Stop talking nonsense."

"Get out of here now!"

"AHH!"

That was when dream Weiss rushed us with a pillar of ice forcing us out of the room with the Grimm!

Noo!

We were so close but now –

"No, the relic!"

As I was surprised by the attack the relic in my hand fell out and is now being entrapped by the Grimm thorns dream Weiss calls out to me as I got confused she spoke to me, "Why betray me, Ruby? I must protect what is precious to me."

*Thud*

Hearing and seeing the doors behind Negative Weiss shut down she continues to talk to me with an angry expression, "Why can't you understand that?"

Standing up again using my dream weapon as a cane I began to get myself back up again as I replied to her question, "Sorry Weiss… but I think I misunderstood. I don't really know… what's precious to you. But there is no way it would be a Grimm, right? I'm begging you, open your eyes!"

That was when she said something unexpected that made Yang lose focus of surprise attacking her, "You've disappointed me, Yang. You're the one who made her like this. Spoiling her, coddling her… Your selfish behavior robbed Ruby of the chance to grow up."

That was when I saw Yang come out of her spot as she began to talk back to Weiss about her words, "You know, I'm starting to get, like, really pissed off! You sure run your mouth for an ignorant mouth. Much like a friend of mine said to you during the Bullhead."

That was when I saw Weiss's expression falter with disgust but a hint of sadness again as she began to talk to all three of us as she spoke, "You mean the disgusting Rebel. Every step of the way you have already been tainted by his words… You mean to rebel against the Imperial Empire that my family has created… You would trust his words over mine."

Her eyes now targeted us as three more <Glyphs> appeared above Negative Weiss as she began to attack us with her might, "I'll lock the three of you away forever!"

"Roooaaarrr!!!!"

That was when Weiss summon Ursai Grimm to attack us as I made a mad dash towards the Relic that is within the Thorns clunches as that is our only –

*Creak*

Correction.

Was our only relic to save Weiss as it was soon destroyed I see a Grimm Ursai pounce above me…

Not this time.

I don't need my friends to help me against this.

*Woosh*

Using my Semblance, I managed to avoid the attack as is that Yang and Blake used the coins to bring decoys to distract and take care of the Grimm in time.

"Why you!"

That was when Yang rushed towards Weiss with a jab and she dodged it as Weiss slashes at Yang but evades but followed up by slamming her weapon to the ground summoning another one of her <Glyphs> below her.

At that moment was when we lost.

The volley of Ice Dust beams attacked everything in the room as we were left defenseless but to take the brunt force of the attack head making us lose aura in the process and the decoys are all destroyed.

Holding my last coin in my hand I knew it was time to return…

We need a new plan…

A new means to deal with Negative Weiss.

She's too strong for us to beat as a team…

Tossing the coin, we had no choice but to return.

~Jack POV~

"Ahh!"

Standing by near Shion I saw how Ruby woke up first. I saw the damage to her hand and voodoo dolls as Shion spoke to them in his calm tone, "Phew… Did you all wake up?"

As Team R(W)BY managed to heal up as I offer my support healing Ruby's hand that was bleeding using <Aura Amp> as Shion began to explain to everyone the situation, "I can sense that all the markers in the dream have been destroyed. We have no choice but to enter the dream a third time and replace them."

Listening over to Blake's words as I focus on healing Ruby's bleeding hand to recover, "Starting again from scratch."

Oh…

Sounds like things didn't go as planned even with me helping to boost their auras it wasn't enough…

I wonder how strong the Dream version of Weiss really is for them to have trouble.

I remember my Team saying I was a handful being Negative Jack but for them?

I have no idea how they feel now.

Listening over to Shion's words as did with Team R(W)BY as he gave out what happened and what to expect in Weiss's dream world, "The landscape and the rule of Weiss's dream should not change significantly. Utilize what you learned thus far and devise a new strategy."

Hearing the words from Ruby she mumbles a bit as she spoke as I finished up healing her hand, "A new strategy…"

Listening over to Shion's words he then began to give Team R(W)BY some air breather as he spoke in a serious tone, "It will take some time for my aura to be restored even with Jack's help he needs time to restore his after boosting your group for some time. Until then, the three of you should think about your plan. If you don't succeed in the next attempt, however, Weiss's life will be in danger."

They all nodded at this as they began to leave with some heavy thoughts in their heads.

*Thud*

When the door was shut, I turned my head to Shion as he got my curiosity about the earlier topic with me providing actual help, "Shion what was it you said again that I would be in the dream yet?"

Shion listening to my words began to explain to me how I can help out Team RWBY in the dream world….
