Chapter 4: New World (2)

Chapter 4: New World (2)

~Jack POV~

Changing into some nice decent clothing for a change of pace I began to smirk to myself looking damn good wearing these clothing.

The red cape acts as a hood along with some fantasy-like clothing to match.

Thank Gaia for the clothes and fuck me for being an idiot in the matter.

Hurrying up to the Patch Village in plain sight I managed to see using my skill to see the levels of the guards guarding the city as I hid my face paling at the higher level of people.

[Rock Stone – Lv.? Huntsman Professor in Signal]

[June Sol – Lv.? Signal Huntsman in Training 2nd Year]

[Jol Rou – Lv.? Huntsman Professor in Signal]

Fuck their numbers aren't even showing they must be pretty high.

Better be careful.

With that, I began to walk toward the area in question to see what I can do about it.

/////

Hesitantly walking forward, I saw the group of them eyeing me as I began to ask them my purpose being here, "Hey… I'm here to get some shelter for the night hopefully or a place to rest up. Hope it's no problem folks?"

Next was Rock Stone talking to me as he looked rough around the edges as he began to talk to me, "Sure… you seem new but just do your business here. We simply guard the area of Patch Village. Hope you enjoy your stay young man."

Nodding and thanking the Huntsman I began to hurry inside the walls of the village as I was amazed by the place.

Even though I knew from the show it was still breathtaking to see all of it.

My eyes could only widen seeing the beauty of this place and immediately recognizing it to be amazing.

Motherfucker damn it!

And just like that my common sense kicked in immediately once I knew I was in a semi-safe place.

Fuck… I forgot what exactly world I live in or I guess transmigrated to.

Or is it isekaied would be the better word?

Doesn't matter now, doesn't it?

No, wait for deep breaths before panicking Jack.

Take deep breaths and then out.

Whew…

Taking in a deep breath I knew worrying is going to do nothing about my mental health as I began to berate myself on what to do and where exactly I stand in this world. The only thing I would really curse is I'm somehow in a post-apocalyptic world web series.

Or anime series of RWBY Ice Queendom with the concepts of dreams.

Sigh…

Rooster Teeth just had to Persona 5 that concept in RWBY?

Not going to lie though from the plans and everything I certainly dig the concept idea… hmm…

Wonder if I can use it to create an ID for me to grind in?

If possible of course.

Or I simply try to figure out how my Aura works by trial and error.

But to do that I need to unlock my Aura first somehow…

Sigh…

Enough of that for now prioritize something till my mind returns to any semblance of normalcy.

Glancing around I see that everything looks normal so far.

Trees, plants, birds, dirt, rocks, and people walking their dogs.

Kind of normal all honestly.

Welp… at least I have the powers of [The Gamer] to help but for reason have I been well…

I guess the proper term to be used here is transmigrated here in this world.

And my purpose seems to be related to what Gaia expects from me but what is completely blank to me.

The test like from the Kingdom Hearts scene felt so unreal to me but… so is being transported into another world as cliché as that sounds.

The only real way for me to figure out the truth would be obtaining the Relic of Knowledge to assist me in this endeavor as much as I would like to go ahead and take it… the problem lies in actually getting it.

Yeah…

Highly doubt Raven would be highly agreeable to my words.

Maybe tempting her with the promise to use the Relic to properly word the ways to defeat Salem.

Shaking my head for a bit I began to worry about my own wellbeing for the time being as I should hurry along to find someplace or increase my skills somehow for me to be more useful like perhaps sneaking.

Hmm…

Worth a shot, I guess.

But first, if my [The Gamer] ability has everything like a game does then… how about checking the Help or settings menu if it has one?

Best to try.

Not like I have anything to lose here.

Thinking of my choice I began to help get the right way to see my Status or I guess the Gamer Functions.

"Help."

[Ding!]

Hearing a dinging sound I saw a blue transparent screen appear as I began to read the contents inside my head seeing the possibilities given to me.

Guess I was correct to assume such.

[Help:

-In order to bring up your status you merely need to say "Status" or think it to appear but no one is able to see it unless through a Party System.

-By doing certain things multiple times, [The Gamer] ability will eventually register it as a skill, then it can be leveled up and possibly even evolve. Some Skills get cheaper the more you level up be on the lookout for them.

-The Party System allows you to form a party with other members granting them Mini-Gamer powers only accessing Level Ups and choices of increasing their stats. Or you could change it for them.

-Health points/HP- an attribute that determines your health of course and once that hits zero then that means the dead and the end of your story.

-Aura points/AP- It is the spiritual energy from the soul that any living being with a soul can use, as long as it is unlocked it can be used for offense, defense, healing, senses, traveling, and protection.

-Strength/STR- this one determines physical strength but also increases the physical amount of damage the player can give to the target.

-Agility/AGI- raises various stats to ensure one's survival. This stat is used to boost coordination, reflexes, movement speed, and chances of evading attacks.

-Vitality/VIT- the ability to tolerate attacks without dying the more increase this stat the more health the player gain by its recovery rate.

-Intelligent/INT- increasing the chances of storing valuable information and solving complex problems.

-Wisdom/WIS- the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment and the faster AP will regenerate.

-Luck/LUCK- increase odds of winning the game, random encounters, rarity drops, and rarer rewards.

-Exp: The experience you gain by defeating a foe or killing them off. All exp gained is based on the Level of the Enemy.

-Level Up: When you level up you will feel immediately rejuvenated and per each level gain 5 bonus stat points to distribute. Even if you lose a limb when you level up you will immediately be recovered to full health and in top shape with nearly everything restored.

-Loot: This setting allows the user to have his loot automatically stored on their person or in their personal private location where upon killing/defeating the enemy is sent to. AUTO LOOT [ON]. Do you wish to turn off Auto Loot [Y/N]?

…]

There are a few more readings down, but I got the best of what's happening to my system, for now, I turned it off as I have better things to do.

So basically, how much did I learn or how many tough battles do I go through basically?

Essentially, I got a Gamer-like system similar to Solo Leveling in a sense.

But if that's the case…

[Ding!]

[The Quest is created.]

----

Daily Quest: Preparing to Become Strong

Description: This is merely the first step to becoming strong in Remnant as you will need to face unknown threats and be prepared.

Objective:

-Complete Push-Ups [0/100]

-Complete Curl Ups [0/100]

-Complete Squats [0/100]

-Complete Running [0/10 Km]

Rewards: Choose your Rewards upon Completion:

-Reward #1: Status Recovery

-Reward #2: Stat Points +3

-Reward #3: Random Item Box

Failure: Nothing.

[Accept: Y] or [Deny: N]

----

Oh…

So it's like this huh?

More on the lines of Solo Leveling than it is?

But the failure is nothing though?

Pressing the [Accept: Y] on the screen I can do some running around the Patch Village to see what is going on here as well as do my quest in my free time.

Like, for example, gather information about the place and rest up as much as I can before fleeing this area.

I have no doubt I would gain something from this village but first…

I need to find a place secluded and interact with the locals to gather a better idea of what to do exactly while running at the same time.

Better yet I need to clear up something in my mind.

Time to begin the search.
