Chapter 248: Years and Graduation (2)

~Jack POV~

After waiting a bit in front of the Team RWBY room my team already left ahead to wait for everyone as I waited at the front door.

*Creee*

That was when I see Ruby coming out surprised to see me with a smile on her face coming out with her graduation uniform, "Oh Jack! I see you came to wait for us, right? Sorry but the rest already left thanks for waiting for me."

Taking her hand as she closes her dorm room, I smiled at Ruby talking to her, "Right. Wouldn't want to make my lady in waiting."

Ruby merely smiled taking my hand as we both began to walk away from here replying, "Yeah. It feels just like old times, right? Remember the first date we went on?"

Laughing lightly at that I nodded to her with a smile talking fondly of old times, "How could I forget? It was the time I asked you to help me out with my weapon. Ah… how simple times were right Ruby?"

Ruby leans at me on my shoulder smiling fondly replying and asking me a question, "Yeah… things were so simple back then with all of us… Say Jack if you would have Yang, Blake, and Weiss back again would you after they left?"

Walking the same path down the same halls reminded me of old memories of our time together, "Of course. It was my fault for giving them attention since we had all grown up. Nothing can really last forever but if the chance does arise then I wouldn't mind restarting things again. I know how difficult their situations can be and left alone to deal with them."

At that Ruby smiled contently at me as I already knew this would happen for me in this situation since we are all at a moment of our lives finding contentment and happiness for ourselves in this world.

I really do miss those times with those three.

But I couldn't force myself to come off as desperate or would ruin any chances of doing so because I was so busy but no more.

This time I will have time for all of them this time around.

The more we walk down the halls I couldn't help but look at the halls and one room where Ice Queendom happened as I spoke softly, "Ah… good times. I remember the time when Weiss and I were infected with the Nightmare Grimm. The very beginning of our adventure with everyone right?"

Ruby nods looking at the room and smiling recalling the events happening through her mind as we go to a library next with Ruby speaking out, "The library huh? I remember you talked to Weiss and Blake when they mentioned it. They seemed sad even recalling most things with you ya know."

Frowning at that I responded as well as we were walking past the library entrance, "Right… I know Ruby. I want to ask, or should I wait for them to speak up? I just don't want to destroy what bond we had left. I'm afraid to ask."

At that Ruby merely sighed at me as we continue towards the hallways finally speaking up to me, "Sigh… I swear you four are playing chicken not knowing who to start forgiving first. You do realize they want to return to happier times you know. But they are too afraid to ruin it with you thinking are desperate. Sounds familiar right?"

My eyes widen at Ruby's response before she mischievously smirked at me as she jabs her elbow at my ribs, "Come on Jack? Where's the fearless troublemaker that makes Glynda loses her hair when you do what you act? Where's the so-called fearless leader not afraid to act what he wants? The Jack I know would at least have the backbone to at least talk to them."

At that, I was surprised as I scratch the back of my head at Ruby's response as I talked surprised there, "Wait really? I thought I should give them time and some space… Ruby, you know why I didn't have time for them to prepare for something important later today right?"

Ruby once again sighed at me but nodded in understanding as she smiles at me leaning closer to me proving her point with her motions like a tiger to pounce them, "Sigh… I know. I know after this you have to fight 'them' soon enough. But as your lover, I know Penny and Pyrrha can't handle your libido for long. Plus I know you still have lingering feelings for them and them as well. It's really frustrating just waiting you know. If you want them then go get them, tiger! Rawr!"

Blushing at that I couldn't help but remark on Ruby's words responding to her, "Ahem! Yeah… since when did you get more… bold and forward about this?"

Ruby just laughs at me as she kisses me on the cheek replying to my question, "Oh Jack. You made me a woman someone had to take the lead. Despite being strong you really have a hard time understanding girls. Plus, after your fight against them, we can finally have time to do what we want."

Smiling at that I swear this rose is infecting me with her influence as I'm infecting her with my own influence.

And people say I'm a bad influence on her.

It should be the other way around.

Hahaha…

As we walk down the hall further with Ruby by my arm, I couldn't help but ask her, "Say Ruby would you and the girls would like a wedding after I deal with them? And well… would…"

Feeling a bit embarrassed asking this I couldn't help but finally respond to her as she is shocked by the news, "… would you guys like to start a family. I know I'm asking a bit too soon or jumping the gun I couldn't help but ask."

Feeling my hand getting tight Ruby cries a bit wiping off the tears as she finally responded to me in a happy tone, "Yes you big idiot! Sniff… after everything has been dealt with for good. Then… I guess I can try. I always wanted to be a mother after what my mom did after coming back to my life. I think I want to try a simple life for a chance."

Smiling at that Ruby continues a bit explaining herself quickly enough to me, "I might be ready but only if you win. After everything is at peace, I can try… but I won't say my words with the rest."

Nodding in understanding smiling contently at Ruby's words looking very happily for a nice future ahead, "Of course my little rose. But first I have some relationships I want to recover before we can finally have peace."

Ruby nods at this as we see the rest of Team RWBY waiting at the entrance each looking beautiful but turning their heads away at me with mixed emotions Ruby goes past me and she whispers at me, "Good luck Jack. I did have to help them. Tehehe."

Getting confused by that I looked at her Scroll as my eyes widen…

Clever girl.

She clearly took some help from Penny and Pyrrha about this.

Hahaha!

She really is too bold around me taking on my influence!

Ruby walks inside as my eyes stare down at the three girls I began to clear my voice starting things up, "Whew… well. I guess your little sis can play some sneaky stuff right Yang?"

Yang is the first to talk as takes in a deep breath for a moment before finally replying, "Sigh, yeah. My little sis definitely got bold after our breakup but…"

Blake looks down as her eyes are away from me responding in a sad tone, "After being apart for so long you would still want us? Even after how everything changed over time."

Nodding my head with a determined expression in my eyes as I won't make the mistake again ignoring them, "Yeah. I'm the one at fault. It was my fault for not giving you guys attention that was my fault. If anything, I should be the one asking for a second chance."

Weiss looks at me in the eyes before finally sighing again with a small smile on her face and responding, "Whew… despite everything we heard from Ruby. I guess we are still children in the end huh? I mean if you still want, we can try again after thinking of everything about our life choices. Sometimes I wonder if what I did breaking up with you was wise trying to make changes following my own path..."

Smiling happily patting Weiss's shoulder looking at her clear eyes I responded in understanding to her and them, "No. You chose what you believe was right. All of you did. I won't fault you for that and I'm partially to blame for not giving you any attention. So… redo?"

They all smiled and agreed as they all spoke out, "Redo."

Feeling like my relationship status is working again feeling that not even time didn't stop our bonds.

While we all agreed on a redo, we still have to talk this out sooner but for now, that can wait.

We have a graduation ceremony to attend first.

Weiss and Yang both went to my arms leaning over with Blake following next to Yang's side as we enter the lunchroom looking shocked at us being together again me seeing Ruby talking to my Team with her explaining everything.

Sigh…

Shaking my head that sweet innocent girl has really grown up to be a powerful woman I made her out to be in her own right.

Along with Pyrrha and Penny.

Despite it all though it's great that despite the changes growing up I'm glad that everything still remained the same as we have in the past.

The very last thing I needed was offers of other girls wanting a piece of me after those 3 breakups with me.

And I didn't allow them to join me because I knew it would come a time they would return after I deal with the Brother Gods after training for a few years.

But I chalked it up to them growing up and letting them grow into their own persons even with me helping them out.

I didn't want it to become artificial about it and I'm glad I only saw us return never how I just believed in faith to let that happen.

*Beep*

As we enter the room, we hear the speakers come out with Glynda's voice coming out with announcements, "Now that all of you are present please form the lines ready for graduations! I hope you all are prepared for the harshness of the world. I thank you all for being part of Beacon Academy through harsh times. Now line up in an orderly fashion!"

Ah…

There are just some things that won't change with Glynda, but I will definitely miss her scolding me for my actions once I graduate from here.

All good things have to come to an end soon enough.

Now then…

It's time we finally graduate from Beacon Academy and a small party.

Time to reconnect lost bonds and enjoy life to the best we can.

After all, I already planned a small graduation party when we finally graduate.
