~Third POV~

*BEEP*

Ironwood broadcasts an announcement throughout the complex with everyone listening intently, "A security threat has been detected in the compound, status alert level 3: red. Lockdown initiated. Authorization granted to handle ANY threats with lethal force."

*Wooo*

*Wooo*

Red emergency lighting activates, and sirens start to blare as the infiltrating group listens in dismay with Weiss voicing out everyone's thoughts, "You've got to be joking!"

Blake nodded agreeing with Weiss's assessment of them being trapped, "We're trapped. It's going to start swarming with Atlas Soldiers soon."

Penny's eyes glow as she inspects the system Jack hears some groups of people coming from the distance as Penny finally speaks, "The pneumatic tubes have all been closed off. Wait, we can still succeed. We are so close."

Listening to this Ruby's group all began to follow along following Penny they make their way along a raised walkway in a cavernous and deserted chamber.

At the end of the walkway is a heavily electrified door with Penny finally speaking out, "Stand back, please."

P. Ruby, Weiss, Blake, G. Ruby, and Nora get ready to draw their weapons while Jack has his hands free as Penny interfaces with a control panel, deactivating the electricity and opening the door.

*Beep*

As the overhead lights come on, a secluded room filled with terminals is revealed. Ironwood's terminal sits at the back wall with P. Ruby speaking out, "Uh, where is everyone?"

Penny merely replied that it was classified information.

The girls make their way inside, and the door closes and electrifies itself again. Nora briefly stops to regard it before moving on.

Penny sits in the office chair by Ironwood's terminal and braces herself, taking a deep breath before contacting her father, "Hey dad? I'm ready."

Penny's eyes turn yellow. She starts speaking in Pietro's voice, and her movements are considerably stiffer and jerkier, "Ahem. This process is a… little complicated. So, I'm remoting into Penny from Amity Colosseum."

Penny begins her work on the terminal as Ruby watches on. The others idle by. Blake swivels around a few times in an office chair.

But since they finally had enough time to speak P. Ruby was the first to actually question the two since they had the time, "Ok then. So… Jack, right? What exactly do you want or intentions here?"

~Jack POV~

Finally…

I was wondering when they were going to start talking to me and my Ruby.

Leaning back with my Ruby by my side relaxing a bit since we have a few minutes to kill I responded first, "Nothing much just doing my thing and a few other objectives here and there. But I get the feeling that's not what you want to hear right?"

Next up the suspicious cat girl Blake was the first as she narrows her eyes at me, "Right… how about explaining what are your, goals? And why does the person next to you have an eerie similarity to Ruby…"

Ah…

Aura senses.

Guess they tried to sense the aura in their surrounding till they noticed the oddity of two Rubys with them making them cautious.

Better to explain everything for the time being since we have the time.

I guess it's about time we get started on our identity first before divulging these kinds of questions, "Ah! I was wondering when one of you would ask that questions. But to truly explain why I first got to clear up a few things for everything to make sense. Since we have the time might as well hurry."

Using <Telepathy> I began to make a conversation with my Ruby to drop the mask to get them up to speed on the situation, 'Ruby can you be a sweetheart and take off the mask. I doubt they will understand us unless we show some proof.'

Hearing a yes from her mentally Ruby finally takes off her mask as Ruby Prime, Weiss, Blake, and Nora were surprised by the development as Ruby introduces herself, "Heh. Sorry for not introducing each other earlier but I'm Ruby Rose just turned 16 years old and still attending Beacon Academy as leader of Team RWBY from another dimension nice to meet you all."

The others only stared up in shock seeing Ruby as I responded to them to sense her aura to tell her the truth, "If you don't believe us why don't you sense her aura. Compare it with your own Ruby Rose and – wait a second…"

Turning my gaze around Ruby I just realized she just turned 16 years – What the hell Ruby?!

My eyes widen at her as I couldn't help but be shocked when she turned 16, "Wait hold up! When the heck did your birthday pass?!"

My Ruby merely laughed at this bashfully responding with an equal embarrassment of not telling me this, "Yeah… I was actually going to ask you Jack that today was my birthday and when you asked for a vacation away but things–"

"Now hold up!"

Now it was Weiss's turn to interrupt my Ruby asking out in clear shock, "No wait for a second! You two are from another dimension I find that hard to believe –"

"I believe it…"

That was when Ruby spoke out in clear shock gazing at her younger self with clear disbelief in her eyes as she began to voice out clearly still in disbelief, "I don't want to but… her aura… it's almost scarily similar to my own and you can't have two auras being the same because they are each person's own soul represented… then that means…"

*WOOSH*

As that petals fell on the ground as my eyes were glued on the interaction of the scene left me, I don't know…

Would shock be the right word here?

Not before long the older Ruby hugged the younger one with clear stary eyes shown not the reaction I was initially expecting as my Ruby was struggling to get away like a child from the older one's grasp.

My Ruby was struggling to get away flailing around and yelling at her counterpart at the sudden hug of herself, "Ah! Darn it! I thought I would get away from bear hugs!"

Smothering her in a hug tightly as the older Ruby was hugging her tightly responding back, "Ah! I looked so cute when I was young! And I really like the new look other me!"

My Ruby on the other hand was pleading for help to rescue her from her older self-smothering her, "Ah! Jack help! I think my older me has gone crazy! I'm too young to be smothered by my older self!"

That… I never…

Ok, so how do I resolve something like this helping a person who's older than the one hugging be the same person at the same time but younger…

Wait would this be called incest if they are hugging each other being sisters of the same blood or would it be loving themselves because they are the same person yet from different realities apart...

Truly a question that would need to be answered but I don't feel like knowing the answer to this mystery...

Perhaps there are some questions that aren't meant to be asked but what to do about this situation though?

Casually ignoring the pleading Ruby's hugging each other I began to talk to Blake about why we came here in short summary, "In short summary we came here for vacation, saw Vale in trouble repaired CCT but cut short but long enough to hear the situation in Atlas and flew a day all night with my Ruby, Penny, and Pyrrha to help out the people once the situation entered our ears and here, we are."

"Traitor!"

Ignoring the words of my Ruby being smothered only to be stopped as Nora had a wide-eyed expression slowly wording out to me in shock, "Wait… you m-mean… that Pyrrha is here… yours I mean…"

Nodding my head I let them digest what they heard from in the short summary of things as I just added unnecessary pressure for them to realize what else they don't know is going on but it was surprisingly Nora that spoke to me about Pyrrha, "Is Pyrrha happy with her life?"

Getting caught off guard a bit I knew what she meant as I smiled reintroducing myself again to clear up a few things, "Of course. I would never let anybody harm or harass her. Especially since she's part of my team. Let me introduce myself properly. I'm Jack Nights leader of team JNPR pleasure to meet your acquaintances."

Their eyes widen at that with even Penny briefly stopping before returning controls to Pietro with Weiss asking in shock, "Wait… you mean you're the team leader of JNPR and not Jaune Arc?"

Laughing lightly at that older Ruby stopped hugging her younger self to confirm Weiss's claims as she clears her throat, "Cough! Damn my me is strong. Oh, and yeah what Jack said is right. In our, I guess Remnant his team leader of JNPR never heard of Jaune Arc in mine."

The girls remained frozen in place before Nora was the one to briefly be surprised by this returning us to the conversation at hand, "I… I whoa… so in your Remnant Jaune never became the leader but you…"

Raising her eyebrow at that as I made a mock bow to that I replied meeting Jaune Arc but sent his sorry hide home, "Yup. But I did happen to see the guy trying to enter Beacon when I saw him come out from Jr. Club accidentally bumping into the guy along with his Scroll, he lost to me seeing fake transcripts to Beacon. It happened on the same day my Ruby was fighting against Roman goons at a Dust Store."

At this older Ruby seems to recall the event happening to respond to my tale, "Oh! That I remember it was the meeting point where I met Ozpin –"

Then she immediately paused as her eyes widen realizing where this story is heading while I continued on, "Right. We both met Glynda and Ozpin being interrogated. Being a good citizen, I handed Glynda Jaune Scroll and told her about the fake transcripts as she immediately wouldn't allow him to enter endangering everyone."

Listening to that Blake was the first to question my story at the beginning of how I knew it was fake, "Wait how exactly did you know it was a fake transcript and not real?"

I easily countered the plot point with some trivia here in our world differing or not from here in a simple tone, "Simple. He didn't have his aura heal him when he fell. In our Remnant, one can easily tell who's a hunter if they have their aura unlocked. That's just how things work for our Remnant to know is that not the same here in your guy's Remnant?"

At this line of questioning stopped because they couldn't confirm the fact, I disregard it as untrue because it's a fact in our Remnant with my Ruby agreeing.

Before we could continue any further loud keystrokes distract them, and the girls join Ruby and Penny at Ironwood's terminal.

As Pietro speaks through Penny, Weiss turns to older Ruby for an explanation, but she can only shrug in response, "I have to… There. Downloading the cloned imprint now. When Penny gets to Amity, we'll run the launch sequence. Amity's computer will try to connect to the general's terminal but get Penny instead."

Penny's eyes go back to green as she voices out what she wants to do, "And after the launch, I'll return to help you all with the evacuation."

However, Pietro's coughs could be heard as he voices his disagreement with her choice, "About that, Penny. When Amity goes up, I think you should be on it with Maria and me."

Penny's cheerful expression is replaced by an anxious one. The rest of the girl's trade conflicted looks, "But they need me here. Right?"

Before anyone could disagree with Penny saying I immediately placed my hand over her shoulder as I replied for everyone, "Of course we need you. Despite you running is it really what you feel like it's best for yourself or what others tell you to do? Running is what others want you to do but tell me Penny… what do you want to do?"

Looking at me for a bit with others voicing out that keeping her away would find I respond to them in an annoyed tone, "Maybe but ultimately it's her choice, not ours. If the girl wants to fight and help. Let her she's a person like any other so let her pick her choice."

At this Penny thanks me for helping her pick her choice out with a breath of relief, "Thanks. Sorry, father but I'm staying where others need me."

Feeling happy for her picking her choice the rest of the girls would only have to suck it up because no way I'm letting her get bullied on staying behind for safety plus some self-confidence is good to have.

Preparing to leave I told Ruby to put back on her mask since we want no one to see and to deal with certain rats that would get in the way soon enough.

Back at the room's entrance, Penny deactivates the electrified door again, but I already figured this group would be here as the doors open to reveal Harriet Bree, Elm Ederne, Vine Zeki, and Marrow Amin.

"Hello, kids. Time to come home now, Penny."

Aw fuck…

The whole drama shit again…
