~Jack POV~

Standing outside the corridors with the Rose Family taking their moment to enjoy their time together and getting everything out I felt the need to get out of that.

While the nice reunion for them is nice it's probably doing some more help if it was them talking after such a long time of separation that they need to talk about some things to catch up.

Hopefully, 2B explained the best she could to Tai, Qrow, and Yang without revealing Salem's name but just enough for them to understand.

I was hoping to not reveal the fact I know of their enemy but… circumstances are simply just out of my control.

Right now, Ruby doesn't know that Qrow knows of Salem I'm letting the bad luck charm explain that one while I leave myself out of their reunion and wait.

I guess one or if not two of the adults would like to have a talk with me about what I revealed to Ruby and I'm guessing they want me to shut up about anything related to Salem.

*Thud*

Soon enough one of the people I expected came out with him wiping his tears out of his face with a smile on his face but then turns sour when he saw me waiting.

Trying to find the right words for me but looks behind him I gestured for him to follow me talking in private, "Qrow is it? If you want to talk, we can go somewhere private. I bet you have a lot to explain and probably punch me about what I told Ruby right?"

Twitching at that Qrow took a deep breath at me before calming down and replying to me his response, "Yeah… I have plenty to talk about with you punk. Some more private than others and sensitive."

Nodding I began to turn off my <Overactive Imagination> to reveal my Silver Eyes getting Qrow attention right away with mild shock while I replied to him, "Yeah. You and I both have much to talk about… uncle in law?"

He froze at that.

Haha.

He's going to be very fun talking to me when he realizes I'm dating one of his nieces as he shot at me a dirty glare at me.

But since I have the chance…

Following enough from the outside of anyone hearing us inside one of my private facilities where I showed Ruby the Capsules, I sat down with Qrow looking around, "Heh. So, this is what you work on in your spare – wait up is that a hover car?"

Ugh…

Why do people care about hovercars?

Rolling my eyes over that I began to talk to Qrow rolling my eyes at the car getting straight to the point, "Ugh… yes. Now skipping the hover car over how about we talk about the reason you wanted to talk about."

Blinking at that Qrow began to speak to me in a calm tone clearing his throat and beginning with formalities with him, "Ahem! Right… to begin with, I'm Qrow Branwen first of all I want to thank you for helping Summer. You my friend certainly have great taste in building your androids. The leotard pretty bold."

Laughing a bit at that I began to reply to that comment seeing Qrow is a man of culture it seems, "Hehe. True if I wanted to make an android, I better make sure they are pretty eye candy, and nothing says bold than creating female androids hot and sexy. I see you're a man of culture then Qrow?"

Qrow laughs at that before returning to the topic back at Summer already seemingly liking my attitude, "Hahaha! If old tinman could hear that he would have a heart attack. But returning to the real topic at hand… I… I really can't thank you enough for helping my friends, and family… especially since how my nieces seem to have a liking for you. Certainly, brings up some points in their life…"

Taking a swig of his flask nope.

Using <Telekinesis> taking away his flask onto the table with a look of betrayal on his face while I scrunch my face, "Sorry but I don't like alcohol that much. And especially anywhere near my Capsules project. No offense."

However, Qrow looks surprised then he recalled something on his face before slumping down on his face, "Damn it… although it's probably for the best. Still though… didn't think you would have Silver Eyes… and damned OP Semblance. The ability to copy Semblances and all kinds must be a godsend really."

Returning my attention to Qrow I began to talk to him about my eyes fabricating how I was truly originally born as a Silver-Eyed warrior, "To begin with I preferred to hide my eyes because of how –"

"Wrong."

Stopping hearing Qrow interrupt he began to voice out he can tell my lies easily speaking to me and getting the right guess, "Nope. What you said is a lie. You can say it's a gift for me to tell since I work in the shadows, but if I had to guess… <Fusion> also allows you to copy down not only semblances but any skill, right? But not without doing a set of conditions right?"

He's good.

Using <Telepathy> he guess, right when he thinks I allowed Summer to recover normally just for me to get her skills.

I will not announce nor deny that claim I'll let him believe what he will because it's the truth.

Only admittedly agreeing nodding, my head as I explain to Qrow my reason for getting the Silver Eyes, "True… Sigh… it's like you say. But that's not important it's what you have to say next would it count like me speaking about Salem to Ruby?"

At that he tightened his fist at glaring at me before calming his breath before he began to explain to me, "Whew… look like I get you wanted to help my niece, and don't take this the wrong way what you did for my family means a lot… but then you had to show Ruby the other side. The shadow war… you brought my niece into this. I can't exactly say I'm very pleased by the idea…"

Nodding my head at that looking down at the table when Qrow mentions that I replied with regret in my voice, "Whew… I know. Even though I'm not sure what I did was the correct choice showing her what her mother had gone through… I didn't want her to see me as a distrustful person. She was crying to want to know while I provided her the means to do so… sometimes I think I may have forever done the wrong choice at the moment but at the same couldn't avoid it."

Looking Qrow in the eye me being regretful for what I did but what I won't regret is showing Ruby the truth, "Maybe what I showed Ruby… I wanted her to have a good life without knowing it but… but I think showing it to her sooner will be more useful than being confused why she is hunted down because of her eyes."

*BAM*

Slamming my table Qrow glares at me saying that before he responds to me about that expressing anger, "How what you just said is any better! If anything, you gave my niece fears of something that may or may not happen to her for the rest of her life?! Tell me boy what exactly any better if she knew now any better than not – "

"Because I refuse to let Salem capture her."

Stopping interrupting Qrow words while I replied while giving him another piece of important info to him while yelling angrily, "Because she doesn't have that choice anymore. Looking through Summer's memories Salem is capturing Silver-Eyed Warriors in order to Grimmified them to counteract their Silver Eyes! You think for one second, I will allow that bitch to take Ruby?!"

Growling standing up in front of Qrow seemingly backing off a bit as I began to raise my voice a bit louder, "You think hiding the existence of her will bring humanity safety? Hahaha! No. Nonono. In fact, you merely made them all ignorant as sheep by the fact they don't know what the hell they fight. Why do they die? Why does Grimm exist and everything… no. That is not protection… that is simply...!"

"Whew…."

Stopping my rant, a bit calming down getting off track returning to my seat I began to calm myself down a bit finally getting my emotions on track, "Sorry but not telling Ruby about this sooner would be the death of her. Salem is already trying to get her forces to capture now that the video went live. And I'll be dammed if I let them get away near her… not one…"

Qrow calms down at this taking his flask while I allow him to take a sip taking a seat down talking to me, "Gulp. Ah… I see… you seem to be a friend that deeply cares about my niece with that reaction. You do realize when Salem sees you with your Silver Eyes, she won't stop at anything to get you two… I never wanted my niece to be in this situation. And now learning of what Salem is planning…"

Taking the moment to take a swig at his flask calming his nerves as well as my own with me not looking Qrow in the eye as I spoke, "You know the first thing Ruby did when she saw Salem? Terror. She realized what she finally asked of me as I reluctantly gave in. And now though? She's stronger than me in keeping her cool. I envy her for that."

Qrow looks at me while I began to ramble but smiles more about Ruby's points like talking about the past, "She's just very optimistic really? She knows when to cry and keep it in. I on the other hand fall easily to anger… she has a way of motivating others in ways she doesn't realize…. She managed to motivate me at times when I was too patient to act. And to think what Salem did to Summer is going to do to Ruby just for merely living…"

*CRACK*

Cracking a nearby table and destroying a portion of it as I finished my response to Qrow leaving a growl, "Grr…. Then I guess someone better get the job of icing that whore. If Salem intends to send her dogs, then I hope she expects them to play dead."

Calming my words, I decided to give Qrow a piece of advice to deal with Salem's traitorous cat Lionheart giving Qrow pause what I say next, "Besides you and your inner circle have a traitor amidst. Headmaster Lionheart to be exact is selling you guys out. I got it from Summer's memories you can take it as you will."

Qrow eyes widen at this stopping his flask as he stays still to process what I said before sighing out loud at this, "Sigh… that. That right there is dropping a bomb kid. And you say you got this from Summer memories? Hmm…"

Taking a moment to think about it I see Qrow is doubting my words and I wouldn't blame him since to him they have been allies for a long while now.

That was when Qrow asked another critical question to him as I rub my tempol with doubt in his words, "But why… we have been fighting the same shadow war for a very long time. Why would he betray us…"

Well…

I might as well give him the news to actually start developing countermeasures against Salem.

At this, I didn't bother to express it as I talked to Qrow about the news of Salem being immortal leaving him shocked, "Because Salem is immortal. When Salem showed herself to Lionheart, I think he must have crumbled when he realized fighting her was practically impossible with her immortality. I think most men would fall to that."

Qrow looks at me surprised but the frown is still evident on his face mumbling to himself in worry.

Good.

Now time to plant the seed of an idea to go about this.

Going towards Qrow with a hardened stare at him I responded to him of their plan against Salem of sealing her, "Now then I really hope your group has the plan to go against Salem. But judging from the look on your face you didn't know about her immortality. I really hope you guys have a way to seal her away instead of just fighting her."

When the words sealing her away connected to Qrow's head he seems to realize something before I can faintly hear him speaking out in a hopeful tone, "Right… maybe Oz could do something about it… we might not kill her but sealing her is an option… just maybe I won't have to let my niece fight this mess…"

Qrow seeing my response sighs at this before playfully smirking at me and Ruby's relationship out loud, "Heh. Well, at least my niece is dating a smartass. At least with your relationship and honesty about my niece… I guess I can place my trust in you for keeping her safe. Would feel pretty good to have someone like you to guard her."

Feeling my <Misfortune> around me I can suddenly feel Qrow's as his eyes widen speaking out to himself, "Whoa… so that's what it feels like to have bad luck huh? And you now have my curse…"

He grumbles a bit before I chuckle lightly at this seeing blue-like energy from the <Misfortune> skill at play while I admire Qrow semblance, "Curse huh? In that case, what do you see as a curse I see it as a gift. I mean manipulating the probability is cool. Although this could use some training… I swear to god if I get to fall down on some flight of stairs…"

Next, I hear Qrow laughing at me before finally going off back to with Summer and the rest but soon turns serious at the end, "Oh trust me, kid. That's only the start of it. Anyway, with you guarding Ruby… I can trust what you say is accurate. But I better not hope to hear you tell this to Yang…"

Sigh…

Nodding reluctantly in agreement Yang isn't ready to hear the news at least not for now.

They just got their mother back they should enjoy it while it last.
