Chapter 122: Normal Life?

~Third POV~

Soon everything that happened of the alien invader coming close to conquering Remnant with students beginning to return to normal again… as normal it can get in Remnant that is.

Returning to Beacon Academy with Blake making a series of sketches and notes mark the next scene. These include the White Fang insignia and Adam's rose.

Blake looked at the sketches of her past then turned the page expressing a smile on her face with her team and team JNPR detailing united together.

In the Beacon Academy cafeteria, Team RWBY is sitting together as Blake looks over some notes. Yang then slides up next to her partner asking a question, "Whatcha doing?"

Blake closes her book as she replies to Yang hiding the sketches, "Nothing. Just going over notes from last semester after the whole starfish thing."

Yang catches a grape in her mouth but also nods her head in agreement expressing disgust for starfishes, "Lame. But true still can't believe that we didn't get much credit for taking it down though… although considering we all take part in, the Kingdom's history in the making I can't really complain much about it."

Nora giggles as she continues to toss grapes at Yang with her spoon. Yang catches the fruit with ease, giving Nora the thumbs up. Ruby, giving an enormous heave, slams a binder onto the table, catching everyone off guard.

*THUD*

On the cover of the binder is written 'Vytal Festival Activities, Property of Weiss Schnee'. This has been hastily crossed out with a red marker pen, and with the same pen, a new title, 'Best Day Ever Activities', has been written underneath.

Ruby clears her throat, she gestures to everyone at the table with everyone staring at her, "Sisters... friends... Weiss."

"Hey!"

Ruby began to have a dream getting everyone's attention with pride in her voice, "Four scores and seven minutes ago, I had a dream."

Yang catches another berry in her mouth as she talks, "This ought to be good."

Ruby smiles at this giving a big smirk shown on her face as she began to talk to her friends, "A dream that one day, the four of us will come together, as a team, and have the most fun anyone has ever had... ever!"

Weiss on the other hand glances at Ruby with her gaze filled with suspension, "Did you steal my binder?"

Ruby makes "peace" signs with both hands signaling she didn't do it, "I am not a crook."

Blake on the other hand glances at what their team leader is doing, "What are you talking about?"

Ruby points her finger at Blake as she gets off excitedly at the new semester they are in, "I'm talking about kicking off the semester with a bang!"

Yang smirks at this as she tries to make a joke to kick off the day, "I always kick my semesters off with a Yang! Eh? Guys? Am I right?"

*Bonk*

An apple is tossed at Yang and hits her in the face. She glares at Nora her responding to her pun, "Boooooooooooooooo!"

Ruby glances at her friends and tries to be motivated about the day to come with excitement in her voice, "Look guys, it's been a good two weeks and between more exchange students arriving and the tournament at the end of the year, our second semester is going to be great! But, classes start back up tomorrow! Which is why I've taken the time to schedule a series of wonderful events for us today."

Weiss only sweat drops at her leader's antics but couldn't help but voice out her genuine concern or pride, "I don't know whether to be proud or scared of what you have in store."

Yang, still glaring, picks up an apple and tosses it across the room to Nora that managed to hit Nora yelling out, "Hey! Haha…"

Nora can be heard giggling just when Blake asks Ruby unsure about the day, "I don't know. I think I might sit this one out."

Weiss crosses her arms at Blake and asks her opinion of their coming days, "Sit out or not, I think that however, we spend this last day, we should do it as a team!"

Nora soon shouts out positively at her intended target throwing a pie, "I got it!"

Weiss soon began to talk to her friends closing her eyes doing so, "I for one think that –"

*SPLAT*

Weiss is interrupted by a pie landing on her face which is soon shown to be Nora is the one who threw the pie, she sits down and points at Ren who has his head in his palm. Pyrrha's hand is over her mouth and Jack simply sees this.

Jack seeing this tries to calm down the situation before it escalates even further, "Ok so before we do anything we can regret – "

*SPLAT*

It was then Jack's face was splat with pie covering his face from Weiss interrupting him.

*Slurp*

Licking the pie he received to the face and the sudden provocation thrown Jack only knew what this meant thinking to himself, 'Very well then… if it's war you want? Then let there be war... War of Fat Italians it is then.'

*SHIII*

Wiping the pie off his face activating his <Telekinesis> skill at the ready with food ready to be thrown Yang soon questioning Weiss's actions, "Uh Weiss… I think this is the one time you may have messed up picking a fight?"

Blinking seeing the food coming from above as she questions herself before finally getting a single counter to this, "Then maybe the team leader should take responsibility for their teammate's actions. And Ruby how should we respond? Surrender or fight?"

Weiss glances at Ruby before thinking of her answer and returned with a determined expression returning a response to Weiss in a form of a nod readying herself.

Ruby soon raised her foot stomping down on the table and pointing at Team JNPR as she crushes a milk carton in her hand, "Justice will be swift! Justice will be painful! It will be delicious!"

"YEAH!"

With everyone in Team RWBY agreeing with Team JNPR doing the same seeing their leader isn't backing down they all began the food fight.

Chaos ensued...

Elsewhere inside Headmaster Ozpin's office going over the paperwork with a frown on his face talking to himself, "Sigh… if there was one thing, I didn't like about being a Headmaster it would be the paperwork for all of this. Still, it is necessary after what happened with Team RWBY, Team JNPR, and co. saving Remnant. Even the Council are pushing to let those team graduate early as a form of reward. Heh. Like I would let that happen."

*THUD*

Soon entering his room was Glynda Goodwitch feeling much better after what happened in the Starro event with a tired expression on her face, "Morning Headmaster. I just returned back from Team RWBY and Team JNPR starting a food fight. My Gods, it was a mess… They're supposed to be the defenders of the world."

At that Ozpin chuckles at this considering, they have already done so with him replying to Glynda in a calm tone, "And they will be, but right now they're still children. So why not let them play the part? After all, it isn't a role they'll have forever. And beside them saving Remnant from that nasty Starro we have to pick up the slack after what happened. Those children accomplished something that was meant for the older generation to do against the world… and won."

Looking at the cameras with Team RWBY are shown laughing together along with Jack covered head to toe in juices making Ozpin smile at this.

Glynda for her part couldn't help but refute the idea considering she was mind controlled feeling ashamed recalling herself attacking her students belittling herself, "A-Ah of course sir… I keep on forgetting that. It's just… sigh… there is really no excuse I would say that I helped in aiding that monster to help enslave humanity trying to hunt down innocent people like… just like 'her'."

Ozpin nods his head at that taking a sip from his hot chocolate and taking out his Scroll going through some files, "That you and I can agree with. While this threat is gone that doesn't mean we can rest on our bodies just yet. Salem took the chance to attack when we were all down from the Starro attack leaving every Huntsman and Huntress vulnerable to Grimm attacks. I don't even know how the event was video recorded or who spread it, but it has left a heavy wound to the people of Remnant of what exactly happened."

Glynda could only agree as Ozpin opens up his Scroll to reveal the recent rise of Grimm from the aftermath of the Starro attack Glynda glanced at them the heroes of Remnant that defended their home against Starro all the beginning when the Atlas Elite soldiers to the heroic end of the fight.

At this seeing most of the machinery from Jack's forces she soon began to talk to Ozpin about it, "With all of this technology I would've assumed James would be the first to try and get something from him. Or quite possibly joining the Atlas Military with his authority? Or even the Council demanding of his technology?"

"Hah. Fat chance."

Listening to Ozpin's words viewing the video recording of the fight happening Ozpin spoke out of never letting that happen, "Sorry Glynda but I'm in no way giving my students to James. He'll just have to hope he gets lucky with his next patch of students. Such a shame the Justice League left before James could do something… not like he could with his current political troubles. Having been the one to quickly surrender to Remnant without a fight helping Starro doesn't bode well for him at the moment. I'm not handing over the very ones that saved the world after all to switch schools."

Ozpin expresses his smugness toward his students while Glynda shakes her head sighing at the Headmasters treating their students as the promising hope and pillars for humanity.

It became something of a contest with having the best Huntsman and Huntresses in the making meaning a more secure Kingdom.

And Ozpin was winning by a large margin in that contest.

Turning on his desk Ozpin began to go through the reports with Glynda still confused about something voicing her question, "Very well sir… but I do have a question though? How come the Council hasn't made a move to go procure Team JNPR leader about his machines or technology he used in the fight if the video as you say is widespread?"

At this Ozpin chuckles slightly before opening up some files while replying to Glynda's question to her, "Haha. Funny thing about Council Members while they can bark all they want but ultimately, they can't make any action because of the video. If say the Council Members were to say… demand or forcibly hand over to the heroes public opinion will not bode well for them."

At this action, Glynda could see but then refuted with one of her own in another way, "Perhaps, but they could simply just ask if he could donate for the better of Remnant?"

Hearing this Ozpin shook his while taking a sip of his coffee cup of chocolate while replying to Glynda, "Perhaps they could yes. But sadly, though their calls seem, to be going over Mister Nights' head or simply ignoring them. Although they did say they would appear during the dance for a Worldwide Interview with the Heroes of Remnant. Something I can't do about I can only agree on."

Glynda nods at this swallowing seeing the video with Mecha Godzilla attacking Starro as she glances at the machine to its self-destruction, "I see sir… it just feels so… long ago is all. Since the meeting, that boy here is all baffling to me. In the beginning, I saw him a civilian that's way over his head becoming a Huntsman but…"

Glynda becomes quiet recalling the leader of Team JNPR's actions rising to the top despite being weak to one of Remnant's greatest defenders with Ozpin agreeing, "I agree Glynda. Team JNPR and Team RWBY both have done beyond and above the lines of what Huntsman and Huntresses were meant to do. In fact, so much so that I may even allow them to join our Inner Circle..."

Now that caught Glynda's attention listening to Professor Ozpin's words and the meaning behind them joining their own group as she wanted to deny this immediately however recent events resurfacing in her mind stopped her words before she could act.

Glynda tried to find the words to possibly persuade Ozpin otherwise but their actions aiding in saving Remnant is something to consider in the Huntresses' mind going over the video of them fighting as if it was their last against the very thing that tried to enslave their life.

Glynda couldn't find it in her to refuse the Headmaster's words in this matter.

Ozpin merely turns his chair around as he began to talk to Glynda about his own thoughts of them becoming a part of their inner circle leaving Glynda to wonder in thought, "They have fought for Remnant when she was at its weakest. They fought for the world and the innocent against a being beyond their current levels that even turned the world against them. They must have faced down terrors people can't even fathom. That's not the behavior of students Glynda…. It's the behavior… of Huntsmen and Huntresses."
