Chapter 113: RWBY/Justice League (14)

~Third POV~

Everyone is fighting their own battles against former innocent people and former Beacon Students Team RWBY and co. managed the best they could fight them off as best as they could.

Bruce fighting alongside Ruby, and Clark he began to use his Semblance <Detective Mode> through this thinking of the possible pieces he has recognizing the missing people, 'That one disappeared near the atrous fountain – Faunus villagers kidnapped from the sea cove settlement – humans and Faunus – wet clothes, wet shoes, wet hair –'

At that moment Bruce soon realized something that connected something in common with the victims as he told everyone as they fought, "They're not disappearing just from Vale. They're being kidnapped by water! The island of Patch. The coastline of Menagerie. Whatever's doing this, it's using the harbor, the sewers, the fountains, the drainpipes – water."

"Smack!"

*Woosh*

Using her Crescent Rose Ruby managed to brake off the bone mask revealing a starfish stuck on Pyrrha's face while managed to get Weiss's weapon using <Petal Burst> as she gives it back to Weiss who was on top of her Arma Gigas, "Here Weiss your weapon! You'll need it!"

Grabbing back her Myrenaster then thanked Ruby for her weapon being returned, "Thanks, Ruby! But all of these people are making it hard for everyone to fight back."

"Ahh!"

Suddenly Yang was thrown back into a building coming out along with Blake and Arthur coming towards them when Yang comes out with her aura flickering commenting on the attack, "Ah… fuck. No one ever mentioned we had to fight our professors in this."

Hearing this Weiss's eyes follows a familiar woman using her semblance <Telekinesis> with a bone mask on her forcing Weiss to swallow spit who they're up against, "Gulp. Glynda Goodwitch… why do we have to go against someone like her. A legendary Huntress at that… this is becoming a losing battle."

Arthur and Blake held their ground when Barry and Victor soon came back to them with Victor shouting out having a major issue they are facing, "Everyone is careful we have ourselves veterans coming. There is this one guy that can somehow mess with my machines just being around... be careful."

Their eyes darted towards the person but Ruby and Yang's eyes trembled a bit seeing who the person was as Yang mumbles to herself, "No way… even Uncle Qrow…."

Ruby was having a harder time seeing her ideal being brainwashed as her heart stopped a bit and hyper-ventilating a bit seeing the situation, "No that can't be true… no way Uncle Qrow could be controlled by this…. No… Nononono! This can't – "

"Ruby!"

Suddenly snapping out of it Weiss shook her forcibly responding to get herself together at the situation, "Ruby! Get ahold of yourself now! We need to focus on what to do now or else… we might end up like our friends and… family."

Ruby didn't understand Weiss gritted her teeth as tears formed in her eyes seeing a familiar figure soon approach them along with a group of soldiers on hand.

The person Weiss saw having some fear in her heart is a tall and fair-skinned young woman with slate-blue eyes, dark eyebrows, and long white hair. The latter of which tied back in a bun that is high on the left side of the back of her head, along with bangs along the right side of her face and a small curled lock of hair down the left just above her shoulder.

Her outfit consists of a white long-sleeved coat with a single dark blue clasp around the center waist holding it shut alongside a red jeweled brooch on the collar. The coat's length runs down to her ankles and the sleeves are split from shoulder to elbow. She wears a white pleated sleeveless blouse with a dark blue waistcoat. A pair of white trousers with dark blue garters alongside a pair of gray thigh boots with black detailing around the knees. She also wears a pair of black forearm-length gloves with gray trimmed cuffs.

The person Weiss saw readying herself when she saw her older sister Winter Schnee coming out with Atlas Soldiers ready to attack them or be captured with Weiss in forming Ruby, "Like that man you seem to be fond of Ruby... Family or not… we can't fail here. We have to escape... or else we'll be next."

Ruby hearing this wants to refute but seeing that Team CFVY, Qrow, Glynda, and Winter along with their own soldiers with the remnants of the tied-up Team JNPR and others free began to get closer to them.

The more they try to defend the more the situation is starting to become more impossible to defeat as Bruce holds off one of them from speaking out what everyone thought, "There's too many, Ruby. Weiss is right, we can't save anyone if we don't save ourselves – we've got to retreat and leave your friend Jack to defend himself. We can't be allowed to be captured if we can't save anyone."

Ruby listening to Bruce's words nods in understanding even though she didn't want to she couldn't refute the situation they were pretty bad enough against former family and friends but as the mind-controlled group soon comes towards them…

"I'm combat-ready!"

*PEW*

"Have no fear for I am here!"

Suddenly an energy attack was aimed at Qrow and team CFVY forcing them to pull back this with the majority of the mind-controlled puppets began to be forced back by the shockwave of the energy beam attack did.

Next came Jack as he suddenly slammed his fist down with his body turned to metal thanks to <Metal Skin> and <Polarity> enhancing his physical strength causing the very ground against the mind-controlled group to surf up causing them to bump up in the air going backward in the process.

Seeing the moment that they are all up in the air Jack's eyes noticed Pyrrha, Ren, Nora, and a few other students within the crowd as his eyes narrowed at this, 'I see… so that's what that star fuck has been doing to everyone. Even Glynda was caught up in this mess along with a few others.'

Making a dramatic entrance from above Jack glances over to Team RWBY and co. as the human and Faunus breathe in tired Jack graces them with a thumbs up at them, "Sorry about being late to the party. Just had to help a certain someone from being all evil on me."

Ruby's eyes wander to Penny as she smiles and rushes towards her giving her friend a hug catching Penny a bit off guard as Ruby went talking in joy, "PENNY! I thought I lost you when you came after – wait you were the one who took Jack! And what happens – "

Before Ruby could catch on to seeing Penny's android's body as her skin revealed to be metal Diana smirked a bit at this, "Hazah! I see that I'm not the only Automaton in Remnant we should be friends Penny!"

Penny blinks before smiling happily at this but not before Barry points out the massive issue in front of them, "Uh… yeah not to be a downer yawl but… we literally have a group of brainwashed goons after us!"

Breaking the calm moment at this Ruby saw Penny all looked as everyone soon got up charging at them Blake groans tired at this, "Grah! At this rate will be captured if we can't do something about the people after us."

At the mention of being captured Jack's eyes wanders towards the group as he opens his hand's large amounts of water vapor turned sticky water forms catching the group by surprise, "It won't be much but at the very least this should buy us time. At least for those controlled would have a sticky time to get out of."

Yang hearing the pun snickers at this while everyone else glares at her putting up defense at the situation they are in, "What! It was a good pun no way I would miss the chance to laugh at such a serious situation!"

Using <Water Attraction> skill Jack created syrup-like water forcing the brainwashed to stick… at least for the normal citizens but the Huntsman/Huntresses-in-training and veterans easily dodged the attack because of their enhanced bodies.

Using <Telekinesis> on Ren, Nora, and Pyrrha on them Jack made sure they were restrained as he talked to the group, "I hope you guys don't mind if I take them with us. Also, sorry you guys need to be knocked out. I apologize in advance."

Three whacks at their heads and removing the starfishes off their faces Jack began to carry Pyrrha princess style, Penny holds Nora over her shoulder and Ren on the other.

Jack only gives his thanks for everyone's understanding even though Pyrrha, Nora, and Ren became baggage to them knocked out.

"Fwooom!"

Suddenly Blake and Victor notice they see a green light as this jogs Victor's memory recognizing it, "The green light that saved me from my crash…"

Just when they tried to leave Qrow suddenly arrived in front of Jack with his weapon at the ready Jack was about to defend himself, however…

Suddenly a green construction appeared out of nowhere and pushed the Hunters still standing away pushing Qrow away as she began to voice out her concern, "Oh no. I'm too late."

The person appears to be a woman with lightly-tanned skin, green eyes, and wavy, voluminous back-length black hair that has a large green streak running from the front center to the right side. She sports a sleeveless crew neck top that is black on the upper portion and green on the lower portion under a white waist clincher that has yellow laces. She wears a pair of green, black side-striped trousers tucked into a pair of white knee-high-heeled boots that have flared tops with a small lace-up section on the front.

She also sports a green sash that is doubled over her shoulders and pinned with a white badge with the Green Lantern symbol on it. She also has a pair of white elbow-length gloves with the right having a black studded band on the trim whilst the left has a green band tied around the trim.

However, Jack sighs in relief seeing that the girl sports a large white Green Lantern symbol over her right eye alongside dark green lipstick and a Green Lantern ring.

The person is Jessica Cruz a member of the Green Lantern Corps as she began to construct a riding vehicle speaking to them, "I'm going to get you out of here! Quick and follow me unless you want to be part of them!"

Pointing at the brain-controlled masses Jack didn't hesitate as he took his friends while voicing out their concerns about the newcomer, "I would recommend we take this chance! Not unless you all feel like you want to fight against a horde of people!"

At this they all hurried along Jessica warns everyone she needs their help to activate the flying ship, "We've got to work together, use everything we have to get this thing up and running! It's only an idea unless you can help make it real!"

*BRR*

Suddenly catching them by surprise Jack used his <Mechanical King> and his mind to search for the perfect ride as he spoke to everyone, "There! Now we need to get the hell out of here! RIGHT NOW!"

Everyone nods at this as they all began to take the ride with Ruby the last one to enter taking one moment to glance behind the masses with some thoughts entering her head, 'Beacon Academy, in the city of Vale – this was where I knew I belonged. I wish everyone could feel the way I do when I'm here. That I don't have to hide who I am or the people I love. That I don't have to hide what I can do or why I want to. Everyone deserves to belong… not be someone else's belonging…'

"Clamp!"

"Brrr…!"

With the entrance door closing the mind-controlled goons aren't able to hold on to it the group managed to escape as Ruby glances down at the window finishing her thoughts seeing everyone below as her Silver Eyes flashed finishing her thoughts out loud to herself, "We're going to free our friends, family, and the Faunus, and all the strangers we've never met. We're going to show whoever, did this what happens when you treat people like things. On this, I swear if this is the – "

*Pat*

Suddenly feeling a pat on her shoulder Ruby's Silver eyes stopped shining as Jack glances down listening to her speak out loud and then seeing the people as Ruby hears him talk to her, "You aren't alone in this Ruby. We do this, together right? The mastermind of this sickening mess is… they are going to regret messing with me and my loved ones."

"I'm glad to hear because you lot are going to need it."

That was when the voice enters inside as she began to explain to everyone conscious as she began to explain herself to them, "My name is Jessica Cruz. Like you, Jack… I have a great power. And I am to blame for what has happened to the people of your planet. Tell me you two… would you like to know what's really going on?"
