21 Rose VS Champion pt. 1

You'd think that living with three girls was going to be fun, even if one of them is my sister, but no, it's taxing.

And it's only the third week.

Waking up early, taking a shower, getting dressed before they wake up, waking them up, resisting Yang's attempts of getting me to get her some snacks...

That's why I left early today for the shooting range and was currently making holes in the target's head.

"How are you so accurate? I thought you never had held a sniper before?"

I squeezed the trigger again and a new hole appeared in the dummy's head.

"I shoot fire from my fingertips, of course, im accurate with a gun."

She rolled her eyes at me and floated behind me.

Taking out the magazine, I put it inside my magazine holster, I wasn't the dumbass who would throw magazines out and just forget about them.

Collapsing the rifle, I attach it right above my tailbone where its holder was located and stretch, flaring my aura to heal all the soreness in my body.

"You have Glynda's class today... will you go?"

Did I have a choice? Besides... Im positive she's going to try and make me go against the champion any time now since she kept quiet for a week.

That, or she doesn't want me to turn into a fire dragon again and go ham on the redhead.

I still haven't fought anyone... Hmm.

But before that, I had history.

-Four hours later-

"I still can't believe you didn't wake us up."

Yang muttered under her breath next to me, only succeeding in making my irritation grow.

"Oh, im sorry, when did I say that I would be your alarm clock?"

Seriously, how can a person complain every other minute? Because that's all she does.

"That's enough! As you can see, Mister Arc's aura has reached red, as the rules suggest, the match is over in the favor of Cardin Winchester."

Glynda turned to Jaune and said something that only the two in the arena could hear.

Probably that he sucks and he should stop doing that, instead of actually giving him something to work on.

I rolled my eyes, feeling a bit more irritated than usual.

This was getting repetitive, the school was boring and that's why I skipped classes in Signal.

Now one more match before I can have some cookie- I mean some nutritious food, yes.

"Next match, would Mister Rose and Miss Nikos please come to the arena!"

...Called it.

With a slight smirk sent toward Goodwitch, I walk towards the changing rooms with a skip in my step.

Pressing in the password to the pannel, I open it and stare at the contents, my new combat attire!

Black chest armour with red straps on the aides, I didn't bother black, fingerless gloves, a baggy set of pants and armoured combat boots that came up to my knees.

Strapping on the sniper magazine on my waist, I secure the sniper that I named "Blackthorn" right above it.

Placing my red pistol in its holster on my leg, I grab the red cloth that was just lying there in the bag.

It was my cloak, turned into a waistcloth and a scarf with earth dust infused to increase its durability.

"Are you going to wear it?"

I rolled my eyes at the hopeful tone my mother asked the question and Wrapped the scarf around my neck and waistcloth under the utility belt.

I looked into the locker where another, slightly bulky pistol was on a shelf...

"So... You figured out that you like making weapons."

"Shut up."

"No seriously, Mecha-shift was still new in my time, how can you make a pistol that turns into a scythe?"

Not like I wanted to! I just had spare materials and the urge to do it, I blame the original Roy!

...Can I make a lightsaber? If I can turn my flames into plasma...

God damn it, me.

Closing the bag, I stand up from my crouch and crack my neck.

"You think, she will forbid me from turning into a fire dragon?"

Summer nodded wordlessly. After all, the room couldn't hold the full size of my dragon... That sounded so wrong.

With a shrug, I walked out of the changing room, ready for battle.

When I reached the arena though, Pyrrha was not there yet...

Ugh, Girls!

"Mister Rose, Do refrain from turning into a dragon, im not sure if you can fit it in the room."

...Heh.

I could hear Yang burst out in laughter in the stands and Summer was blushing, Blake just buried her head in the book and Weiss looked confused.

Ah, so innocent. To think that she is a gamer girl.

I stood there awkwardly, waiting for my opponent to arrive.

"You think she ran away?"

I shook my head minutely so that only she could see.

I waited there for a few more minutes until she showed up.

Her hair was tied in a ponytail and the front of her tiara was covered with her bangs, her red hair swayed as she walked forward.

She wore neck protection that cane below her collarbone, and her chest armour was also acting like a corset. She wore a mini skirt to limit her movements and had a waistcloth around it with a single long strand dangling from the side.

The leg armour she had came up to her thighs and she wore... High heels...

"Your blushing! Is this love on the battlefield?!"

God, I wish my mother wasn't here right now.

Sure I saw her a few times from afar but our teams never interacted, just a passing greeting from time to time and I was usually in our dorm room or the smithy so even if they did interact, I wouldn't know.

"Are the combatants ready?"

I rolled my eyes and nodded, taking out the pistol from the holster.

"Go! Roy! Show her the strength of RWBY!"

...Where did they get the banners?

My team, well, except for Weiss, had banners with rwby written on them and shirts with my face on them...

"Go Pyrrha! Show him who's boss!"

I look slightly left from my team to see the rest of JNPR, Nora was the main supporter there holding a huge banner with "JNPR #1" on it...

I and Pyrrha share a look and she chuckled as I roles my eyes.

"Ah, you're smirking, you love the attention don't you?"

Damn it, mom.

"Start the match!"
