Yuri System

When Rina blinked her eyes open, her head instantly began to hurt and she had to pause for a few moments to gather herself together before trying again.

The last few moments before everything blacked around her rushed into her mind and she let out a long sigh before tentatively opening her eyes and darting her gaze around. She could vividly remember being stabbed behind by one of those ugly aged court members, and even though she ended up killing him, she cleerly remembered dying on that floor at that moment.

She knew it was because she hadn't been careful enough. She was supposed to have double checked that everyone was dead before she fully turned her back to the pile of bodies on the ground.

With a long exhale, Rina slowly sat up, absentmindedly wondering where she was right now.

The first time she died, she ended up waking up in the body of a mute and blind baby.

This time, she wondered if she had finally been sent to hell, but a quick glance around the dimly lit room insinuated otherwise.

With the small rays of lights spilling through a few cracks in the walls, Rina used it to stare down at herself, confirming within herself that she was still in the body which she had used in murdering members of the royal court along with the king.

That made her began to wonder if she didn't end up dying after getting stabbed like she had thought. But Rina had been very certain that she had died, so she was extremely confused.

As she rose to her feet, she glanced around once again, noticing that she was in an empty room, one with crumbling walls and a thin roof.

"Did someone save me from the throne room after I collapsed? Is that why I'm currently alive?"

Rina asked aloud as she stared at the roof.

Rina didn't expect anyone to respond, so when a voice echoed around the empty room, she stumbled backwards, eyes darting around and heartbeat accelerating.

"No one saved you, Rina. I did." The voice has responded and after remaining still for a few seconds, Rina tried to unease as she slowly rose to her feet, reassuring herself that she had just been hearing things.

"You weren't hearing things. You heard me loud and clear." The voice responded once again, echoing around the dimmed room and Rina flinched, abruptly turning around while trying to figure out who had just spoken.

"Who the hell are you?!" She demanded angrily, face morphed in a scowl. She slowly inched towards the left side of the wall, peeping out a crack there to confirm if someone was playing some games on her from the other side of the wall.

"No one is playing games on you, Rina. You're not hallucinating or hearing things. I'm currently speaking to you right now and you can hear me loud and clear." The voice echoed around the room once again and Rina tried to control her heartbeat but failed. Her heart was racing as she slowly turned around, eyes wide as it darted around.

This was beyond weird. Rina has never encountered something like this before, so she was very creeped out.

When an amused laugh echoed through the room, Rina decided there and then that she was undoubtedly dead. It was the only reasonable explanation as to why she was hearing voices, and said voices can somehow read her mind.

"You're not dead… because I rescued you." The voice announced this time and Rina gripped her hair, feeling frustrated beyond comprehension.

"Who the hell are you?" Rina demanded, eyes still darting around.

"I'm your new system." The voice responded and Rina slowly sank down against the wall, convinced that she had definitely gone crazy. That sword much have ran a number on her, she thought within herself.

"Quit being so dramatic girl. You can literally hear me." The voice drawled and Rina sighed, head thumping against the wall behind her.

"What are you?" She mumbled.

"Your new system." The voice responded and Rina scoffed. If she wasn't so frustrated and confused, she'd have started laughing.

"What does that even mean? If this is some kind of sick joke, just know that it's really creepy, and if I get a hold of you, I'd stab you through your mouth."

Laughter filled the room for a few seconds. "Now, Is that any way to speak to your savior?" The voice demanded, further confusing Rina.

"My what? How is that even–"

"Let me explain." The voice cut into Rina's sentence.

"You were on the verge of death… but I was sent to come save you and become your new system."

Rina let out a perplexed laugh. "You're really serious about that system bullshit?"

"I'm a Yuri system, to be exact." The voice responded and Rina let out another laugh.

"Oh yeah? And what does that even mean? Some new version of a MacBook?"

"I'm a Yuri system, your new and personal system. This means it's my job to guide and assist you through your upcoming journey." The voice responded, sounding quite serious.

Rina massaged her forehead with her fingers, she could feel a headache forming.

"I genuinely don't understand what all of this means." She breathed out after a few moments, eyes glancing around for a few moments.

"That's alright, I'm here to explain anything you don't understand to you." The voice responded and Rina sighed.

"Great, that's gonna be super helpful when the one thing I'm extremely confused about is you. How am I speaking to you right now? Why can't I see you?"

"You can hear me because I'm your system. No one else can." The voice responded and Rina scoffed.

"Wow, so original."

It was sarcasm, but Rina wasn't sure the voice got that, telling by their next response.

"Each system is original and unique, giving it the right amount of originality."

Rina sighed as her head thumped against the wall once again.

"I still don't understand any of this though. You said someone sent you to save me? Who was that and how was that possible?" Rina asked after a few moments. The voice responded immediately.

"I was sent to save you by the God of vengeance. You got a second chance to live from him, but you blew it up by being insufferable, uninterested in gaining power and being careless on top of that. Because of the amount of potential you possess… he has decided to give you one more chance. A last chance."

we’re finally getting to the good stuff!!!
