Gentle man

"Stay" she whispered so lowly that he would have missed it if he was not having a supernatural hearing. Even at that he still had a hard time believing it.

"stay with me… don't leave" she whispered again pulling down at his arm. Her eyes were half closed and her voice was so very low.

Eder frowned. She was surely raving so he should maybe not take it seriously. But she pulled him down on the bed and hugged his neck.

"stay right here" she whispered holding him down. Eder was so shocked, he couldn't help but chuckle. After asking him all this while to stay away from her, she was here asking him to stay close to her. Though she was not conscious , Eder was sure that this was her inner subconscious talking and the subconscious never lied. He knew it was her fever talking and that she will get angry at him, if she found out but he was too tempted. Plus, she was one who requested this, so who was he to refuse? He decided to lay beside her and held on to her over the blanket. She made herself at ease in his arms, like she was at home. He watched her with a smile on his handsome face. She now seemed calmer and peaceful.

"what is happening to you?" he whispered as if she could answer. If she could, she would surely tell him that it was none of his business. A soundless chuckle escaped his lips. Then his gaze turned serious. "who are you,Dahlia Quinn?" he wondered out loud. Then she moved and placed her head on his chest. He smiled like an idiot. He wondered why? She was not even conscious. Still he couldn't help the fact that he was delighted at her unconscious move. She looked cute doing that. He chuckled again.

He removed her hair that was on to her face with a gentle move. He looked at her face, she looked so vulnerable and frail. Somehow those words did not fit with Dahlia Quinn, but he just could not find other words. He held on to her for another while until he eventually fell asleep.

...

The next time Eder opened his eyes, he was in the same position as the previous night and she was there in his arms. A smile spread on his lips. This was the first time in his life he woke up feeling so happy. He did not even know how long he slept and he did not care. He just laid there and waited for her to wake up. He didn't want to move or do anything, just hold her like this was enough. He knew that when she will wake up, it will end. So he just wanted to use this moment.

Dahlia woke up hours later, slowly regaining her consciousness. When she was finally completely conscious, she looked around but did not recognize this place, she was immediately alerted but a certain scent that was all over the room made her calm down. She did not need to think much to understand where she was. How come she was here? Why was she here in his room? How did she end up here?

The last thing she remembered was being in the forest, trying to fight herself and... She tried to move only to be held down by strong powerful arms. When she looked up, she came face to face with his handsome face. Her heart skipped a beat. How come she ended up sleeping on his chest? She hastily moved out of his arms, climbed down the bed and noticed she did not have her dress anymore, rather she was wearing a shirt that was so big on her. It was surely his. This was bad, very bad. She should not be here.

Eder sat up and looked at her with an amused look on his face. She somehow looked suddenly so small in his shirt that it was funny.

"good morning sleeping beauty or should I say, good afternoon" He greeted with a joking voice. Dahlia's eyes widened a bit.

"it is already afternoon? How long have I slept?" she asked.

"I can say nearly 24 hours" He replied making a quick assumption. Dahlia seem a bit lost for a few seconds and then she turned away towards the door as if to leave but he suddenly stood in front of the door blocking her way.

"going somewhere?" he asked stepping forward while she stepped back. He bent down and placed a pair of slippers in front of her. Surprisingly, she slid her small feet in it without problem. The only problem was that her feet were a little smaller than the shoes. Eder frowned slightly, he thought he had the right size.

"where are we?" Dahlia asked even though she could guess it.

"oh, you are usually sharper than this" he joked. He knew she already knew they were at his house.

"how did I get here?" she asked.

"I brought you here" he replied

"why?" she asked again.

"I couldn't leave you under the rain"

"why were we…" she trailed off eyeing the bed where they were laying a while earlier. " did we..?" she couldn't bring herself to say it. "did... anything happen?"

"oh no you can rest assured, not like you didn't want to but I stopped you on time"

"what do you mean?"she frowned.

"you literally pounced on me last night" Eder revealed. Dahlia's eyes stretched a bit wide. "but I didn't do anything I am a gentle man." then he bent closer to her face and whispered. "I would prefer you to be awake, while we do it" Dahlia's cheek reddened slightly and he smiled when she looked away from him.

"I shouldn't have ended up here" she mumbled. Eder's smile disappeared and he approached her.

"something happened to you last night. Did you forget?"

"you didn't have to bring me here, I would have found a way out by my self " She told him. He narrowed his eyes at her.

"you are welcome" he replied with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
