Chapter 54

"Maya… get a grip of yourself…" Alpha Charles was indignant and fearful at the way things were going at the moment. He was still in shock about how she had even made her way there. It almost felt like the Priest had set up that scenario intentionally, as he watched the both of them struggle.

"Just let me do it… I have to save him…" Maya was bent on carrying out the words of the priest about the child. She didn't mind stabbing herself with the alpha's dagger. It was the least she could do at that point.

"I can't let you do something this unreasonable," Alpha Charles was frightful that the baby would fall out of her hands as she struggled vehemently to seize the dagger in his hands. It felt like something had suddenly come over her. "Don't do this to yourself… just let him go..."

He hated the fact that he had to struggle with her in front of the Priest. It was quite hard to know what to do at that point.
