Ella is a young 17 year old runt who has never been given the chance to prove herself to her pack. She is lightly abused and disrespected constantly because she is seen as weak and small. Chapter Five

He stepped back with his hands in the air, showing he was no threat.

It only took me a second to realise I had snarled at the King of Alpha's. My eyes widened and I quickly bowed and submitted to him showing my respect and apologies.

He must have understood as he simply shook his head, "You don't need to apologise young one or submit, I'm sorry for sneaking up on you, I didn't mean to scare you. I found these clothes at the beginning of the forest, near the training field, I'm guessing they're yours?" I had only just realised he held my clothes in his hand but I nodded my wolf head anyway.

I couldn't believe the king had apologised to me. I was shocked. As I glanced at him I began to realise how young he really looked. He had bright green eyes with blonde hair that reached his ears. He looked in his mid-twenties. I trotted towards him and took my clothes from him bowing before going behind the tree to shift.

I walked out from behind the tree and bared my neck, which was another sign for respect and submission. "Alpha King, I am so sorry for my behaviour, I did not realise it was you I...." he held his hand up, cutting me off.

"You do not have to apologise to me Ella, I understand and you don't need to submit to me either. I simply wanted to check if you were doing okay but I can clearly see that you are not. Do they do this often to you?"

I gave a small smile, "They are not to bad they treat me as well as they are able, but being a runt it's expected. I'm small and weak. I proved that when I ran. It doesn't matter anyway, I'm used to it."

"From what I've heard you are no weak runt Ella" he scoffed. I decided to sit on the rock and the king followed. I glanced up at him confused. "What do you mean Alpha King?"

He shook his head, "please call me Alessio, and from what Alpha Alec told me, you are not weak. He told me all about your private training for fighting and tracking and that even though you did it behind closed doors, you have become one of the best. He recommended you" I blushed unable to hide my embarrassment for what Alpha Alec told him. I couldn't believe my alpha had recommended me.

'Maybe we are good enough' My wolf told me, with that I smiled. "Wow I'm shocked, I don't even know what to say"

Alpha king Alessio gave me a warm smile, "How about you say yes to coming to help me and we head back to the pack as we leave in a few hours and don't worry nobody will say anything to you, I had words with everyone" I stood smiling and nodded.

"I'd be honoured Alpha King to help with the hunt and rescue"
