"What was that?" Red asked himself in confusion.

The server humanoid speaking was nothing surprising. During the Elite Conquests, Blond spoke to one of the server humanoids who was possibly hacked by Resistance. That time, Red could clearly hear that a person was speaking because the voice sounded human. Aside from that, there was no way a humanoid could speak like a human.

Yet, he realized he thought wrong. 

The server humanoid who menacingly stood in the next room was the exact proof of his wrong thinking. Not only did it spoke with a humanoid's voice. It sounded like a human and at the same time, not a human. 

This befuddled Red. During the course of his stay in the Asterisk, he never once encountered a humanoid who could speak for itself, let alone have emotions within its speech.
