1 Runes

On the planet Earth on the most southern continent in the smallest country. There was a small town, well compared to other towns. There was only 500,000 people living there at the moment. In west side of this town or as the rich called it the slums there was a small old wood house. There was a lot of old , and small houses in the slums but this one was the smallest and oldest of them all.

It looked as if it could fall down with the slightest wind or the smallest rain. In that house there lived a 17 year old boy named Alex. Certainly Alex was out doing his slaves work as usual. Hi job was to look for herds on the southernmost mountains of the village.

No one else would take the job as these mountains where know to be filled with monsters and dangerous plants. The job also didn't pay well as if you didn't get any herds you got no pay.

Alex was walking down the path that he took everyday to get to the mountains.

"I should probably go on a different path as I have already picked every herd there is on the side of the mountains" he thought.

So Alex took a right instead of a left this time. I guess they should have gave him more information on the mountains though as he didn't know that the right side of the mountains were filled with powerful beasts that he could never imagine of taking down.

He didn't know that though so he just kept walking and walking stuck he his own thought as usual. He was in a lot deeper this day though as he didn't even realize that he had walked into a forest.

He was finally snaped out of his thoughts when he felt something brush past his leg.

"Where am I." he thought "Anybody there?" he yelled.

Well that was a bad idea as everyone knows not to yell inside a forest mostly when you know your in a very dangerous place. Well he didn't know that apparently as he did just that.

Again that was a bad idea as the Golden Hearted Monkey near by heard him. It just so happened to also have just had it's mate have birth. So of course it knew that it couldn't let this piece of prey get away.

Alex was looking around to see if he could find a way out so he didn't know what trouble he had just gotten himself into. That was until he caught a shadow of the Golden Hearted Monkey. Well he didn't know it was a Golden Hearted Monkey as he had only caught it's shadow but he knew it was trying to kill him as it was already in front of him.

Reacting faster than a normal human, on this Earth because a baby could react faster than a normal human on our Earth. He barely managed to brace himself before he was hit into a tree. Which if you want to know didn't even leave a dent. Quickly getting up he began to runaway as fast as his skinny legs could takes him. Which was some how as fast a Olympic sprinter x2.

Who was he to think he could run faster than a Golden Hearted Monkey. This is not one of those cliche novel where the protagonist get away from the beast that fast. No the Golden Hearted Monkey barely had to move to catch up to him. Hit him again but harder this time he flew into a tree again and blood started to come out of the place the monkey hit. Getting again and running again (Damm are you a cockroach or something) he ran even faster this time.

Well not that much faster as he was bleeding and heavily injured. Still who was he to think he could stay alive (Well he can as he is the main character and has plot armor). The monkey hit him even harder this time maybe a little to hard as he literally flew. Good thing he landed in a pond or was it mud? This time he was knocked unconscious (Damm you really have the vitality of a cockroach, how much does it take to kill you).

He was lucky though as it seemed that the Golden Hearted Monkey was pretty scared of were he landed. It immediately turned away and ran like it's life was endanger. Well it kind of was as he had walked into another beasts territory while it was trying to kill this cockroach(Or so it called Alex. I agree though).

A few hours later Alex finally woke up. Well half woke up. The other half was who knows where. The half of Alex that was awake though was not from this world he was from our Earth or as they called us the Heckate.

Looking around just like Alex was a little earlier. Well you couldn't say they were the same as one was a poor boy with no parents the other was a professional assassin who also had no parents(At leats they have one thing in common).

If you looked closely you would see that he was very alert. He slowly looked at every thing his view drilling it into his memory. He stand up slowly and started to go in the same way as the moss on the trees. We all know that moss mostly grows to the south in the southern hemisphere right.

He kept walking until he got to what looked like the runes of a city. A very modern city just like the one he had just died in. Walking through the city until he got to the middle he saw some writing that looked exactly like english. That also triggered a memory from Alex well this Earths Alex. Did I forget to mention that there both named Alex. Well they are.

"Heckate, so that's what they call us even though where the exact same race" he thought.

"These are what they call the Runes of Heckate" he said.
