Camp Crimson Snow

Maria had walked for at least 3 hours before she smelled the aroma of something being cooked over a fire. The smell was faint, but it was there. She followed the scent, and finally she saw the camp where soldiers can be seen.

It didn't take long before an older man had confronted her, "Ah! And you must be Maria? You are ONLY girl that singed up! It's an honor that you put yourself at risk for the safety of your district."

"Yeah… I don't really have a family to love so… I figured I'd come here!" She replied.

You could visibly see the shock in his eyes when she said that. She could tell he was shocked that she didn't have a family at her young age, "Okay! Let's you get a tent and some gear!"

And off they went, disappearing into the crowd of the camp.
