1 Reincarnated as The Villainess

Letting out a small yawn, Alice got up and stretched, lightly rubbing her eyes. Making her way downstairs towards the kitchen, she failed to notice her cat, who rushed in front of her, tripping her down the stairs, where she met an unfortunate end.

"This… this is how I die? I always knew my cat wanted me dead." She thought. Her phone on the desk in her room, while she laid at the bottom of the steps, blood oozing out of her head, her body enveloped in overwhelming pain.

As ready as she was to accept her death, it seemed to be agonisingly slow. She even had time to stare her cat down for a solid minute before it left her, presumably to sleep.

"Well if I have time, I may as well pray to be reincarnated like in the novels, preferably something with magic and being the cool heroine! Anything but 'The Love of Light'." Alice thought.

She had read plenty of novels and played plenty of games over the years, spending most of her paycheck on them, but the one of the worst games she had played thus far had to be "The Love of Light".

In her humble, yet expert opinion, each male lead was completely one dimensional. The heroine too, looked basic and was generic. Long lost daughter of a duke raised by a commoner suddenly catches everyone's attention. She swore she would of dropped it if it weren't for the R-18 scenes, and the villainess whom she grew to understand and side with.

"Poor Estella." She thought as she recalled just how terrible the game was. A duke's daughter who spent nearly her entire life engaged to the crown prince that never looked at her, overwhelmed by jealousy tries to kill the heroine, and ends up dead or imprisoned. Alice had always pitied these types of villainesses the most.

"What's so wrong with being angry at your cheating fiancé who dumps you for some rando after you've spent your entire life dedicated to them? It's not like Estella was the only one who has tried to commit murder in the game!" Alice cursed the one dimensional characters.

"I guess like Estella, I too, will succumb to the darkness now." Alice thought, unable to hold her eyes open any longer. How she wished she could laugh at her own joke at the moment, since Estella's family wielded dark magic.

It wasn't even five minutes until Alice opened her eyes once more though, after realising the ground beneath her had changed into something much more plush and comfortable.

"Did I actually reincarnated?" She thought excitedly, as she saw the luxurious bed she was on. Jumping up and running to find the nearest mirror.

As she looked into the mirror, her greatest wish and worst nightmare had both occurred. She was now a beautiful person, but she more than likely reincarnated into the body of Estella Nyx Von Blackwood, the villainess she was just pitying. Perhaps it was a mistake to think of the worst otome when dying.

Estella never had any illustrations or sprites for her, only the main characters had them. But judging from how the game described her, this just had to be her.

A rather small woman, yet she had curves in the right places. Her skin so pale, that it rivalled both the pale moonlight and the snow. Her hair was long, nearly touching the floor, yet it was shiny and a wonderful royal blue. In contrast, her eyes were like the stars, a brilliant yellow.

"Why didn't they ever give Estella an illustration! She's gorgeous! No wonder everyone would think she is a temptress! Nothing less from the villainess!" Alice said in awe, never did she imagine herself to ever look like this.

"This nearly makes up for how bad every other character is." Alice said as she twirled in her new body. She was worried she'd end up as the heroine or background support character in this world with a terrible crown prince who'd probably ruin the country, but if she were the villainess, it was a completely different story!

Just to be sure her presumptions were correct, and she wasn't a beauty from a different otome game or novel she had once read, Alice raised her hand forward.

It was a bit harder to control than expected, but her shadow had slowly begun to move, perfect! "But wasn't Estella more adept in magic than this?" she murmured.

Summoning a maid, she asked for the date. "The year is 204" the maid responded, leaving as soon as she was dismissed.

"The main storyline started for a year… that explains the lack of magic. But, I'm the villainess." she thought, before smiling a bit like a crazed maniac.

"Why should I care about my death flags when I can just runaway and destroy the country instead?" Alice suddenly declared as she ran all over the room trying to find paper and a pen.

Finally finding it, she began writing her plans in English, thank goodness this world spoke and wrote in some weird language!

Scribbling down the main plot, not like there was much, and her plan, she smiled. "My reincarnated life as a villainess is going to be fun, from now on, I am Estella Nyx Von Blackwood, and I'll live a wonderful life of relaxation." Perhaps she could also marry a few handsome men, she thought.

What an obnoxiously long name though, perhaps she'd just start calling herself Nyx. According to the date, she was around sixteen, about to enter the second year of the academy for the next two years, but no thanks! She'll raise her power on her own.

"Now that I think of it, there was no after story." She thought, another reason the game sucked. The Von Blackwood duchy was incredibly powerful, with more wealth, and power than the imperial family, not to mention their territory size. Wasn't that why they were engaged?

The imperial family needed the support of the duchy, and had Estrella engaged to the crown prince, and yet if they didn't get married in the end and died or was imprisoned, wouldn't the duchy of retaliated?

"They said Estella was a spoiled noblewoman who envied those close to her fiancé, and yet that seemed so stupid?" She furrowed her brows at the mere thought of the treatment Estella endured.

It felt a little weird to be younger, let alone the younger self of the wicked villainess, but it was another thing to be excited for. "I've always wanted to be young again." She thought back to how much being an adult actually sucked, she was only 24, but it was too rough.

"I guess I do have to pay my own taxes and workers if I want to live in another country, don't I?" She thought for a brief moment before shrugging it off. Oh well, that's not her problem, right?

A few minutes after she finished writing, a knock on the door rang before a bunch of maids began to enter the room. Before she could comprehend what was happening, Estella was being handled by the maids, dragging her to the bathroom to start her day.

"How did Estella deal with this?" She thought as she felt as though five people were speaking at once. Was she comfortable? Did she sleep well? Did she enjoy the scent? She had breakfast in an hour with the family, and on and on.

"Got to add no more than one personal maid." Estella thought as she nearly felt dizzy. She had such a tiny body now but everyone was moving too quickly for her tastes.

After that entire headache was said, she was ushered to the dining hall, where she sat down between her brothers, beginning to recall the members of the duchy.

To her left was Aesterix, and to her right as Astrophel. They were twins had just graduated their third year of the academy, and were eighteen. They were both skilled magic users and knights, befitting to take over the duchy, with just one problem. Who exactly would take over? A conflict never solved, unless in Astrophel's route.

Astrophel was one of the six love interests, and the second route where Estella bullies the female lead the most, other than the crown prince's route.

While Aesterix sided with Estella, like a good big brother, Astrophel disliked Estella's existence, for no reason at all, another reason for Estella's existence to bully the female lead, taking her brother's attention that she never got. How cringeworthy.

She had to admit though, all the characters in the game with illustrations were quite pretty. The twins had the same jet black hair, and while Aesterix had bright yellow eyes, Astrophel had crimson red eyes.

"Well whatever, I'm sure Astrophel will be glad to have me gone." She thought as the duke and duchess entered, a soft smile forming her lips. The plan shall begin soon.
