Chapter 36: Natalie’s Sentiments
Celia wondered whether Grace was playing a prank on her. There was no time to wait and ponder though’ she had to go see for herself, so she grabbed her handbag and walked out of the office.
“Are you saying that Natalie is going to Carter’s car?” she asked.
“Yes, she’s walking over there in her high heels now,” Grace confirmed. “I wonder whether he’s in his car already. Oh, wait. Here he comes,” she continued.
“It’s alright, Grace, I can see everything now,” Celia responded. “I’m on my way there.”
Celia disconnected the call and watched Natalie from a landing above the parking area. Natalie was definitely heading for Carter’s car. What on earth was she trying to do, dressed like that? Celia decided to go down the stairs.
When she reached the bottom she stood still, waiting for Carter to either appear from the elevator exit or his vehicle. Natalie herself was walking toward the car with slow, determined steps, swaying her hips confidently.
