5 Chapter 5:- Mutant Zombie Dog [II]
"Though I am not sure about its power, this dog's stats are on a completely different level. I am not sure if both of our attacks combined can kill it." Just as Selene finished saying that, the dog suddenly jumped at Selene.
The Moon Goddess's face turned deadly pale as his pupils trembled in the face of death. It was as if time seems to have been slowed down. The Moon Goddess could only watch as a lowly mutant dog was now on the verge of killing a Goddess. Right now she wasn't fast enough to dodge.
Just as the dog was only a few inches away from biting off the Goddess's head, A black whip rose from the ground and wrapped itself around the Goddess's body. Just as the Dog was about to bite off her head, the black whip pulled the Goddess toward Aditya.
"Are you alright?" Selene nodded her head with a grateful look. Just now she was only a few inches away from death. This was the first time, that the Goddess had come so dangerously near Death.
"Don't let your guard down." The zombie mutant dog felt angry seeing that it had failed to kill its target. It turned around and angrily glared at Aditya and Selene.
Right now the Mutant zombie Dog was 11 meters away from them. Given how fast the zombie Mutant Dog was, Aditya and Selene cannot outrun the dog. Their only current option was to fight the Dog.
"Aditya, I have a plan." Aditya seriously at the words of the Goddess before nodding her head.
Meanwhile, the Mutant dog barked loudly and then started running in Aditya's direction at full speed.
'System put all of my free stats points in my agility.'

Aditya waited for the dog to attack them. Just when the dog crossed the 5 meters mark, Selene instantly used all of her mana and used another of her skills.
Suddenly an intense bright white started radiating off Selene's body. The zombie Mutant dog was forced to stop as the light was too intense. The dog instinctively closed its eyes. Aditya used this chance to move at his fastest speed.
The Dog noticed that one of the targets was getting near him through its nose. Just when Aditya was about to use the sword that was given by the Goddess to cut off the dog's head, Aditya widened his eyes seeing the dog attacking Aditya using its sharp and big paw.
Aditya put his right foot on the ground and changed his direction to avoid getting hit by the dog's paw. He knew that this was their only chance so Aditya gritted his teeth and used his remaining mana to Manipulate Shadow.
Bang!
Selene saw under the dog, from the ground a black 1-meter long sharp spear that was made from the shadow of the dog rose from the ground and pierced the dog's stomach.
Ahooow!!!
The Zombie Mutant dog let out a loud crying groan before it falls to the ground. Aditya knew that this attack won't be enough to kill the dog, so he used this chance to attack the dog again.
In the end, the dog hatefully glared at Aditya. It looked at the sword that had made a hole in his brain in regret before it lost its consciousness

Selene panted heavily. She had used all of her mana to distract the zombie mutant dog. It was worth it.
"Miss Selene, are you alright?" Selene nodded her head.
"You can call me Selene. Also thank you for saving my life there." Aditya nodded his head and entered the grocery shop. Selene slowly followed Aditya inside the grocery shop.
After entering, just as they had expected, half-eaten bodies of humans were lying on the floor. It seems the zombie mutant dog had eaten all the zombies and the surviving humans.
"You wait here, I will scout the whole Grocery shop first." Selene weakly nodded and found a chair to sit down. She was feeling very weak from using all of her mana.
Meanwhile, Aditya first used some heavy objects to block the entrance. He then grabbed the sword and scouted the entire grocery to make sure that no zombies were left. Aditya didn't want to be attacked by zombies inside the grocery shop.
After making sure that no one was inside the store, Aditya walked up to Selene.
"I am going to take a bath in the small washroom. You wait here." Grabbing some spare clothes that he randomly found, Aditya entered the washroom. He wanted to remove the zombie blood from his body.
After a nice shower, he threw away his old clothes and came out wearing some new clothes.
"What are these?" Selene walked up to Aditya and asked.
"These are canned food. Foods are processed and preserved in these cans for a long time. We should take as many of these canned foods with us as possible. But the problem is there is a limit on how much stuff I can bring in my backpack. Leaving this huge reserve of food here simply feels like a waste."
"In that case, I can just store all the canned foods and other stuff in my storage ring." Selene smiled after putting the Canned meat in her storage ring. To Aditya, it looked like the Canned meat simply vanished from her hand.
"What is a storage ring?"
"It's a magical item that allows me to store things. The storage ring that I have has all kinds of weapons, armor, various kinds of artifacts, and many other messy things."
Aditya finally understood how Selene got those two swords. "How big is your Storage ring?"
Selene gave a mysterious smile in response and said. "Even if I were to put one of these tall buildings in my storage ring, I still will have enough space left to put this whole grocery store in my storage ring."
"Wow." Aditya suddenly started feeling excited.
"Selene, can you store all these canned foods." She nodded her head. With the wave of her right hand, all types of canned foods from the shelves disappeared as if they never existed there in the first place.
After that Aditya dragged Selene all over the grocery shop. He made her store some vegetables, a few tents, cooking utensils, a kitchen knife, various kinds of medicine, and many kinds of clothes.
By the time they were done, almost 80% of the grocery store was robbed. Aditya did not take any frozen meat or fish with them as Selene told him that they can just hunt for these in the wild.
After exiting the grocery shop, Selene had a proud smile on her face. "If I had not decided to come with you, then you would have died a long time ago. You either would have died from hunger or in the hands of some mutant beasts or zombies."
Aditya smiled and continued walking forward. Aditya also realized that without this Goddess, he would have faced many life and death situations. He might even have died in the hands of that zombie Mutant Dog.
"By the where are we going now?" Selene curiously asked while walking beside Aditya.
"Now that we have food, water, and clothes, we will need shelter. Around 3.339 million people live in Dubai. I am sure at least more than half of the population was been turned into zombies while a large part of the other half might have fallen from being attacked by a horde of zombies."
"So you're saying that this city is not an ideal place to live in." Selene let Aditya make the decisions since he was a native of this land and knew more about this era than she did. But she was going to try her best in helping Aditya.
"Especially this part of the city is too crowded. We are very lucky that we still haven't run into a horde of zombies." Just as Aditya finished saying these words, both Selene and Aditya stopped walking hearing the sound of a motorbike.
Booom!
There was a man sitting on the motorbike. While passing by Aditya and Selene, the man looked at them in pity before laughing out. "What with him?" Selene has not seen this kind of vehicle before so she was a little curious about it. But she did not like the guy who was riding the motorbike.
"Miss Selene, you might want to run around." Hearing Aditya still calling her Miss made the Goddess feel a little irritated.
"How many times do I have to tell you to not add Mi...Selene's words got stuck in her throat seeing more than ten thousand zombies; the number of zombies was so big that even a goddess like her had no idea how many thousands of zombies were running after them.
"Idiot Goddess, what are you waiting for? Hurry up and start running." When Selene looked ahead, she found that Aditya was already running.
Selene looked back again. The roads were filled with countless numbers of zombies. This kind of scene made even the Goddess frightened. Right now without her powers, the thought of taking down this big horde of zombies is nothing but a bold dream.
"Hey wait for me." Selene flew off 2 meters above the ground and began flying behind Aditya.
"It seems the noise of that motorbike has attracted all these zombies." At this moment Aditya and the Goddess run at their full speed. Selene was 10 meters behind Aditya as her speed wasn't fast as Aditya's speed.
If any God or Goddess from 1 billion years ago saw that the dignified Moon Goddess, also known as the virgin Goddess running on the street for the lowest rank monsters like zombies, those Gods and Goddesses would die from laughing. But to Selene, right now nothing mattered to her more than surviving. She continued running at her full agility.
Meanwhile, Aditya who run at full speed saw more than hundreds of zombies blocking the roads. He instant understood that these zombies also must have been alerted by the loud sound of the motorbike.
"Selene, do not stop even for a second. Kill any zombie that comes near you." Aditya's eyes flashed in cold light. When three zombies came in his path, Aditya vertically swung his sword killing the three zombies in the process.

The Moon Goddess also did the same. As she was flying two meters above the ground, other than some 2 meters tall zombies, no other zombies can reach up to her. She also easily killed the zombies that came in her path.
"At this rate, we might be chased to death. Goddess thinks of something that might get us out of this crazy situation." Aditya shouted as he run 10 meters ahead of the Goddess.
"What I can do? Earlier I had exhausted almost all of my mana. My mana has no recovered so I cannot use that flashy move to distract the horde of zombies. Stupid Mortal, use your little brain of yours and think of something. You're familiar with this world so you must know some way out of this chase."
"What did you just call me?"
