Chapter-16[Goblin's Den-4]

Taking the sword out of inventory and looked at it attentively to check whether it could sustain the strain or not. The weapons used by the low-class monsters are known to be pretty weak and not only are they rusty but some monsters took weapons from the hunters they killed, and it's not like monsters would take care of their weapons regularly.

The sword had some chips on the blade but there is not a single crack or something, which means I could use it easily for now. With the sword in my hand, I started to look for some monsters and soon spotted a small group of three goblins.

And one of them seems to be a rare goblin, a mage goblin, the goblin which could use simple skills like a fireball and stuff like that while the other two goblins with a cub in their hands walked around the mage goblin protecting it.

Directly jumping in front of them from the tree where I observed them.

The goblins seeing me flinched for a moment before screaming and one of the goblins, Goblin A, protecting the mage goblin, Goblin M, started to run towards me with a sword in its hand while screaming like giving warcry.

I parried the goblin A's sword using my sword and with the difference in the strength between me and goblin A, it got thrown back from the force but my hand also stung a little with the recoil as this is the first time I used a sword, else I used to fight monsters using my skill or just a small knife....the swords are expensive.

The goblin A quickly got itself balanced and ran towards me, and slashed its sword at my legs but I put my sword as a guard and use appropriate force and parry goblin A's sword and slashed my sword towards the neck of the goblin, beheading it quickly but I also sidestepped at the same time as a fireball came for my head.

Looking back while shaking my sword a little to get the blood out, I saw the goblin M firing fireballs at me which I quickly dodged while running around, but a single one hit me on the chest as I am not used to fighting like this. I made a water ball and wet myself with it, putting down the fire and ran towards the goblins while ignoring the pain that felt from the burn.

Quickly making a Fire Bullet which I shot at the other goblin, Goblin B protecting goblin M, in the forehead killing it immediately and slashed my sword at the goblin M, putting a large cut in the chest of the goblin M, and blood flowed like a shower from there which got on me but the goblin died quickly.

Sitting on the ground for a moment and putting my hand on my chest, the upper clothing which I was wearing got burned due to the fireball but an armor still remained there, as I was wearing a simple leather one underside my clothes all the time.

"Shit...it hurts more than I thought it would be..."

The pain I felt from my chest as it got burned a little from the fireball as the armor can't stop the intense heat coming from the fireball.

Making another water ball and using it on my chest after removing the armor, I felt a little relieved.

Putting my armor back, I started to take the magic core out of the goblin's body. I am not that much worried for people on this floor as there are mainly E-rank or D-rank monsters in this area making it difficult for newbies to come alone and only parties came down this floor...well except some people.

Taking Magic cores from the bodies of the goblin A and goblin B, I found an orb beside Goblin M, feeling my heart with ecstasy. That is an Orb, something which I saw this close for the first time.

And with the bluish violet color flowing nebula pattern in it, I could tell it's an INT orb, something which would increase the amount of MP in a person's body.

Looking at the fist-size orb for a minute, I quickly put it in Inventory along with the Magic Cores and made my way out of here while also storing the swords of the Goblin A and Goblin B.

I quickly made my way towards the stairs of the next floor while also killing any goblin I came across and on the next floor, I did the same thing and continued to do that till I reached the 9th floor...

It was when problems started for me.

Reaching the 9th floor, I made my towards the area filled with trees and quickly rested on a tree while panting hard...

"It was a mistake to fight this many Wild Chimps at the same time, they are complete bastards..."

On the last floor, which was filled with Wild Chimps. I found out around nine of them and killed them immediately but who know that the last two would call for help and like were they waiting for a war...hundreds of wild chimps got after me. And having no AOE skill, I ran from there, directly towards the next floor.

After resting for an hour or so as I lost all my stamina along with my MP which was left in a dangerous state after firing skills continuously at the wild chimps.

Going down the tree and making my way into the forest where I again started running and looking for monsters which I quickly spotted. Two [HobGoblins], huh...so they started appearing on this floor.

[HobGoblins], like the next stage of goblins or they may be...are goblin-like monsters, having the same face as goblins but also some human features in them and their body size is equal to that of an adult human having bodily muscles.

They are faster, intelligent, and stronger than goblins, making them hard to kill. To test them first, I made two bullets of wind around me and quickly take aim at the forehead of the two Hobgoblins, and shot. But, like having instincts, both dodged, Hobgoblin A easily dodged the bullet, but Hobgoblin B had some trouble and the bullet hit the goblin in the shoulder, but only made a somewhat deep wound, not going through the skin.

'So they could dodge that...it will be more and more hard from now on...'

Thinking about the plan while hiding on a tree, which I need to climb down as the Hobgoblins seem to be able to sense me and they are running towards me. Taking sword out of the inventory, I readied myself to fight them.
