Chapter 2

Crudel, a mythological creature that sealed at the bottom of the sea. Every Ruiner has a power to summon Crudel, and now that fate has appeared to me.

Legend said, when Crudel and Ruiner became one, the balance of the world will be destroyed and Feros will collapse. The God also agreed to kill every Ruiner whom ever born. Because my predecessors always being killed by the God, Ruiner's presence becomes rare, and humans no longer consider us as a threat.

Until I was born and got my power, human become aware of my existence.

"Change my hair color."

Felix looked at me confused. He was carrying firewood for the fire when i asked him to change my hair color.

"Did I hear it wrong?"

"No. You hear it exactly like you though."

Felix put the firewood and setting fire up. He sat down, and staring at me. "Why you suddenly want me to change your hair?"

"In this state, my white hair will gained some attention from people. I bet they will know who i am."

"Your highness, your white hair is the hallmark of Rowena and you are the princess and also the future queen. If your hair color is no longer white, you will change Rowena's history," Felix explained.

"Just for a while. When we get to Crudel and take our kingdom back, you can change it to normal again."

Felix sighed. He standing in front of me while he reached into his trouser pocket and pulled out a pair of gloves. He smiled and then nodded. "I believe all of your decision is good your highness. Let me change your appearance with my power."

He closed his eyes, parting his lips and chanting the spell. "In the name of God, When we get to Crudel and take our kingdom back, your hair will be back to normal."

I closed my eyes when i feel something touching my hair. The spell still echoes in this cave. When Felix told me to open my eyes, i already seen my hair changes into brown.

"Sorry, Your highness. I think it's better to change your hair just like the rest of Feros. In other word, they won't realize if we are a Rowena."

I nodded and smile. "Thank you."

Because Felix came from the same clan, he had white hair too. So he need to change it. While waiting Felix change his hair, i'm looking for something sharp to help me cut my hair.

"What are you doing, your highness?" Felix asked. Oh, looks like he finished his job.

"Cutting my hair," I answered casually.

Felix sighed, dunno how many time he sighed. "Your highness, did you know why your Father always forbid you to cut your hair?"

"I know. About the legend, right?"

There is a legend that only Rowena knows. When Rowena's pure blood born, their hair bring a power which can cure all diseases. Because of that, royal family never cut their hair, just in case when the war started, they can use their power to heal someone and also themselves.

"Why you cut them, then?" Felix asked. He's really strict with me right now.

"Yesterday is a tragedy, and today is a change. If we want to summon crudel, can I assume this as a adventure? Adventure need something new, Felix."

Felix saw me cutting my hair. He can't deny it, he did not agree when I decided to cut my hair short just like a boy. In his opinion, it's not appropriate for a princess to have short hair. But he knows how stubborn I am. The more it's forbidden, the more I do it. Maybe in history, I am the most unruly princess.

"It's time to us leave this cave, Felix. We can't sit quietly here while my people being slaves because that Bastard Balfort king."

"Your highness, who teach you to swear like that? I like it." Felix said, and chuckled. "You right, your highness. It's time to go right now. But first of all, we need to fix a little bit your clothes."

The gown I was wearing at the banquet earlier, already torn apart and dirty, it was no longer fit to be worn. Felix decided to change into shorts, a vest along with a white shirt, and the sling bag. The clothes we're wearing it is like other people, a commoners but not the nobles.

"So, do you know where Crudel is. I never know where is it."

After using his power to change our clothes, he sit down and turn of the fire. Suddenly the cave went dark, I could see Felix's face seriously looking at me. I approached him closer, it's seem our talks this time is a big secret.

"At the last island, Saudade of Whitebridge. Crudel being sealed under it."

"Do you know how to get there?" I asked. My mind only focused on Crudel's form.

"No," Felix answered immediately. "But I heard some rumor, there is an island where the people can tell us how to get there. That island name is Larton Hadleigh."

"Larton Hadleigh? That island is in Primoonand, right? The countries where we always import wine?"

Felix nodded. "That's our next destination."

Larton Hadleigh, the next island we're going to visit. After making sure everything were safe, Felix and I ran to the harbor. Since we were still in Rowena, we need a ship to across the ocean and go to Primoonand.

"You can sail?" I asked, quite surprised because Felix is ​​already in the captain's seat.

"Yes, you can trust your safety to me, your highness. Have a seat."

"No, I'm good, I rather see the ocean more than here."

I sat outside the captain room while my eyes looked straight at the ocean. The blue color reminds me the color of my eyes. It's only two minutes since I left Rowena harbor, and I already miss my hometown.

I feel something heavy in my bag, I open and see a tiny notebook in it. I take it then decided to write some letter or diary.

"Father, me and Felix, We're gonna have our journey. Summon Crudel, take the kingdom back, and then I'm gonna free our people. Can you wait your daughter until I'm back? You can trust me the future of Rowena, but while I'm gone. Please take care of yourself and mother as well."
