Fluffy

Mother and Bea both stood still looking amazed at me. I started to wet my eyes and sniff maybe I can still get away with this.

"Mommy… Im sorry, I didn't mean to go in your study." Using my smallest voice and glazed eyes I stare at mother maybe just maybe I can impress them to forget about the window incident.

"Oh!, Baby you can talk! Yes, No… no worries you can always visit mommies study. Wait here." Mother looked delighted as she put me down an scurried to look for something in her drawers. She put up a mini office to the side of her table near the corner and placed a few stack of papers and took out an old fashion pen made with a feather with a metal tip along with a ink bottle and placed it on the table as well the make shift table wat the perfect size for me. I stare at my mother and question what she wants me to do but all she did was carried to to ma mini make shift office and went back to her own table and continued to work.

"Bea you may go, leave Ruby here she will start her Royal duties from now on."

What! Royal duties? What does that even mean?! I tried to make sence of it all but all I can do is stare at my Mother who in turned looked at me as well like nothing is amiss.

"Ruby starting today you Royal duties will start please fill up all the paper works in front of you and based on your results I may even hire a tutor and start your training early, work hard alright." After saying those she only went back to her own work and there was silence in the room and nothing else.

I looked at the paper in front of me and it seems to be government tax and budget listing. I do have a fair amount of knowledge since it's basically the same thing with my work before I died in my last life but I was not sure of this worlds pricing and values so all I can do is guess. I started to write down at the paper sometimes peeking at my mother who I think is weird to make a baby do office work. I didn't mind the work I quite enjoyed it actually it made me realize why I took it up as a job in my last life. Since the calculations in this world is not at all similar that of earths I just used that of earths standards instead.

I tried to busy myself as much as possible because I know mother Empress likes the place to be quiet when she works, she usually has a separate working office that that of other governors of the country that's how quiet she wanted it to be and how she always ruled Nubsun, Her ideal standard for the country was for it to be peaceful and tranquil and it is as long as my mother will reign as the Empress.

A knock came from the door and someone came in, it was a tall and buff armored man his face was hidden but you can feel the strength he must hold and by the way he present himself it's not the first time he entered in mothers room so boldly.

"Empress I have news of the matter with Rogue, one of their people will visit in the following celebration five(5) months from now." The man slightly bowed and removed his helmet, what shock me is not his beautiful and manly face but his ears on top of his head. It looked like wolf ears and it looks alert as if waiting to hear something. to my knowledge the only celebration happening next should be my birthday and mothers, its quite shocking when I found out the me and the empress both have the same birthday but in the end it made me quite happy that we did share something in common.

I didn't notice I started to walk towards him as I stared at his cute ears, he reminds me of a huge dog and on closer inspection he has a tail! I see it slight wave from side to side and I could not help but want to touch it. Since I am so small and tiny I can hardly reach his tail so I had to stretch and jump just to grab it but I keep missing I tried my darn hardest to touch that fluffy tail. After a bit of effort I finally grabbed it!

"Ah!" the voice sounded shock as he looked down it also made mother look away from her paper. The man looked at my direction and saw me hugging his tail after a solid minute I realized what I did and instantly let go of his tail, I stood there frozen in place as I look at my stupid hands for wanting to touch the fluffy tail. Even though I should be reflecting on my actions I simply can't help but be childish, though I have seen cosplayers at earth it's still not the same when there is a real beast man in front of you is so realistic both ears and tail. As I think about it more I simply turn scarlet read of embarrassment for what I did.

"Little Princess? What are you doing here?" the mans face looked worried and panicked as he looks between me and mother.
