Something Was Off

CHAPTER 39

"I want to go somewhere alone." She told the drive as she does want anyone to drive her that day.

The driver that was told, has trouble expression. How can he leave his Luna to drive the car alone and to go out without guards. His Alpha will kill him if he get to known that.

He was a driver that Mike choose him himself that he will be his mate driver for that moment on, Mike didn't want June to drive alone or went out alone without guards. Because he knew he have many enemies on his hands that will wants to take his mate, happiness and his life away from him or even killed her.

Mike want to settle some things and killed all his enemies but that is not simple, that why he always worries about her safety.

"Don't worried, I will be fine am capable enough to protect myself." She rolled her eyes, did they think that she was that weak that she can't even fight one person?.

Argh! This people.

"I will not go that far and I'll tell Mike that I went out alone so you don't have to worry about that," She take the car key from him and went to the car.

She take out her phone and text Mike. Told him that she went out alone and she will be back soon. She tossed her phone at her bag and drive off with full speed.

As she was in the main road, she low her speed and humming a random song. She was like a happy bird on the surface but only she knows how she felt and how her heart was burning.

When she was continue driving, she spot restaurant that was beside the road and decided to park her car at the side and went in that restaurant.

It was a big restaurant that was painted with lovely color that give restaurant some warm vibe.

She walked and went to seat at the table on the corner which was located to the glass windows. The waiter come and to take her oder; June only oder cold water and looked outside the big glass window.

June stayed there until the sun slowly come down and the moon rose, she wants to stay there forever but that was impossible. She known that she will be all alone when she return as Mike didn't even reply her text; she was worries if he was safe or is there something bad happens to him. June didn't know what to do or think anymore.

When she was looking outside the window, she saw a man at the other side of the road stared at her. June also looked at him as if something was pulling her to that attractive gold eyes.

They stared at each other, losing track of the time. It was like that gold eyes was calling her and she was willing to go to him, June didn't know why she felt that or why she want to be near him.

Something was wrong with her heart. She put her hand over it and felt the slight pressure that was on it. It felt difficult to breathe. Her chest was beating too fast. She tried desperately to breathe evenly and get it under control but the pressure wouldn't go away.

Something was off, why did I felt that way for someone I didn't even known? But wait that man felt familiar to her; is he someone she know? No, no, how can that be.

But why her heart felt like she know him for a long time.

Breathing evenly was difficult. Swallowing was difficult.

She pay the bill hurry and run outside the restaurant, she want to know who he was and why she felt that way from him. June didn't feel that way even when she first meet with Mike.

This feel like, urgh! She can't explain.

When she was running outside. She bumped with someone.

Mike felt guilty for not pick his mate calls, he decided to finish his work quickly and went home. His phone was not with him when he was working.

His heart run faster as he reading her message, worry look was showing to his face. How can't he feel worries when his enemies want to kill his mate and now his mate was out all alone. His worries increase as he called her and didn't pick her phone and when he call at the guard at home; they told him that June didn't return since she went out.

His eyes turn darker that will kill anyone who stared at his eyes.

And thankful enough as he spot his mate cent as she didn't go to far. His wolf final fond her. But when he went to the restaurant that she was; he saw her running out of the restaurant like she was chased someone.

She bumped to him as she was not focus on her way, her eyes was looking at the side of the road as if she doesn't want to take her eyes off someone or something she looks.

He turn around and looked where she was looking but he didn't saw anyone or anything interesting.

Mike was shocked when June didn't even bather look at him and want to go out off his arms.

Why did she act like this? Did she not noted him.

He hold her shoulders and shake her gentle and that makes June to stared at him. But the gaze she held for him was empty, nothing was showing on her expression; he felt pain and shock.

What's wrong with her, why did she look at him that way?

June was busy looked at the man whom make her felt that way even when he was far from her but suddenly that man disappear like he was illusion; she was still in daze and confused when someone shake her shoulders lightly.

She blinked twice and that is when she saw clearly.

'What did he doing here?! No, no, how did he know that I was here'. She wonder but all that did matter to her as she was happy to see him. She hugged him, burned her face on his chest forget about the man she saw early.

"Mike" she whispered his name and embrace him tight.

Mike wanted to ask her who was she looking but when he hear June called his name with her sweet voice, makes him forgot how she look at him a moment ago.

He was happy to felt his mate in his arms..
